Got a voicemail from these people "regarding stolen merchandise your name and social security number". I had a gun stolen years ago and thought maybe it was that. The voicemail started as if it were cut off at the beginning, no company or law enforcement name given so I called an got an automated service. "Thank you for calling EAS" I think it said. If it was my gun, it would have been from some LEO so I hung up and looked up the number and found this page lol.

A woman calling herself, Amy Blackwell, from National Express Carriers. She says this message is for *** ***** and that he didn't send a stop order request. It sounds like she's reading a script and it's not totally clear. Perhaps intended that way because it just sounds like a lot of nonsense, mumbo jumbo. That because he didn't respond to her call yesterday and if he fails to call today a plea of guilty is being submitted on his behalf and he should call her back with 2 pieces of ID. Really?!?!? People don't fall for this. When they ask for ID is when you hang up. This woman is an extortionist. I did not answer this call it was a message left on my phone.

Desperate little belly-crawler aren't you? You're a Shill for your fraud-shop! We know that, you know that.
You want to know what's really funny "Raj"? Millions of Americans are receiving tax refund checks that average more than you'll scam in a year! What do you think of that you scrawny puke?
You Indian frauds will never learn! We can smell you coming all the way through the Internet!
If a person is called from this number, they should DEMAND a notice of validation be mailed to them. NOT e-mail or fax. As per federal regulation under the FDCPA. Someone like "Raj" here will start blustering & will make a fool of himself. Thereby proving what a fraudulent low-life he is & proving that his claims are BS!
Be Safe. Be Aware.

Is your phone number between (000) 000-0000 and (999) 999-9999? Then eventually a computer robodialer will get you. Simple as that. Cheap voip & software make calling millions of phone numbers very cheap.

I am currently dealing with these people...name of so called company Vanguard connected with Eastern Access solutions. Whatever you do do NOT send money....My lawyer is dealing with them right now because they will call anyone they think is connected to you and say all kinds of threatening things.As was listed earlier by someone writing a bad check is a civil matter & in many states check fraud is not even a legal term used ( like NY) which is where I am. .   We had sent them money,because yes, it  is scary thinking you are going to be arrested. They never sent proof of payment so we pulled the money back ( thankfully we were still able to do this.) Now they called my daughter saying they were going to put the scumbag away ( referring to me.) Obviously upsetting her. When collecting a debt you are under a legal obligation to NOT disclose personal information to anyone other then the recipient owing the debt. My lawyer is filing a defamation of character suit against them,,harassment charges & fraud charges for misrepresenting themselves. Report them to all possible !!!!!

Did not talk to these people but received call from this number and they left this voice mail:  "This is an urgent call from Glade Arrow Check Services regarding a file that has been placed with our office that involves fraudulent activities. Please contact us back immediately at 855-675-3332. Thank you."  However, the number the call came in from on caller ID said 844-805-4497. Immediately I thought scam!  I called the latter number back only to hear what receiver would say their company's name was upon answering the call. I didn't catch it all but I got a voicemail that said "Yes...(*a pause) then please leave your name, number, blah, blah, etc." and I hung up. When I searched the company name I came up with nothing at all. So I put in the numbers. First the number that showed on caller ID and I got a bunch of Japanese text that popped up in the search results. Then I put the 855 number in and found this. So here I am to further confirm that YES this IS a SCAM!

Not only do they use freightening words they use obscene and vulgar words as well. Report these low live loosers for what they really are. By Law, they have to present you with a document in writing stating the complete details of the debt, such as who you owe and how much. They harass ppl with fraudulent information. If they call you again, tell them to never call your number again or you will have them prosecuted, then hang up.

Nothing will come out of it, save further abuse and harassment on the phone.  Debt is a civil matter not a criminal matter.  Theoretically you can be sued, but you can't be arrested. The fact that the maggot cursed you out should be all of the proof that you need that it is a scam

No they can't, this is 110% scam.  No one calls before serving you, they just do it.  Also, debt is a civil matter (a "tort" with a case heard in "civil court"), not a crime, which is heard in criminal court.  They must watch too much TV, or be on drugs.  This is America, citizens have rights.  No low life phone caller can "enter a plea on your behalf".  The purpose of this scam is to scare you so you pay on the spot, and they use frightening language to do so

Yeah. Today when I called the number they said they were a law firm, named Vanguard Processing? When they left a voicemail last week, they said they were great hour check or gray hour check or something. They spoke to my manager today and so I am getting a lawyer and seeing what I can do.  Checked my credit report, nothing unusual. Of course, you can't find them anywhere. Oh and today's voice mail was "I will be serving your residence between 11 and 4. And any attempt to evade service or refusal to sign will prompt Mr.Cerrone from National Express Couriers to enter a guilty plea on my behalf" Seriously? Can they do this?

No, they're scammers - so they won't give you a name or address.  Even if they did, it would most likely be a fake name and address.  Best thing you can do is block them as they call from different numbers.  Not very satisfying, I know, although you can feel good that you didn't fall for their BS!

These people won't give me any information, company name phone or address. I told them to take a hike after they called 3 family members and told them I'm under investigation & being taken to court and have warrants out for my arrest. I called back and they have me blocked & won't answer calls.  I had a skip chaser friend of mine run this number and they said its a burner phone.
So I can't serve them with papers or file a complaint. What so I do

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

?is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
?refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
?asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
?exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

?Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.?Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
?Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
?Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.
