i just got off the phone with them and threatened them back. you could see the difference in attitude when i researched them through an atty and gave them some knowledge on the subject matter, they then knew who they were talking to. i am not an idiot and when they realize that, they immediately back track. like a deer caught in headlights. they are idiots. they cannot touch you. Especially if the debt is over 7 years old. statute of limitation. They are now having someone call you first from a bogus company called docuserve who tells you there is a lawsuit pending and to call the 855-676-2777 number. then you call and feel as if because docuserve first called, the supposed company who will serve you if you don't pay, makes you feel like working something out with them. Just tell them you will talk to your atty and have them researched and you will get back to them. They will leave you alone at that point.

Has anyone received a call from 855-245-9336? I get a recording saying "thank you for calling Monument please stay on the line". Kept on hold for a long time so I hung up. I've been scammed in the past so don't want that to happen again. Don't know who they are.I google that # but nothing comes up.

Thank you for all you feedback with this scam.  i had a lady call my work and go to my old house along with harassing and treatning to track me down for a debt that i had already paid back.  Anyone ever despereate for someone quick cash stay away from the online lending.  i paid all my debt back through third party people that never sent me paperwork showing this being paid so they could come under another name and try to collect again.  Thank God i have my bank statements showing what was paid.

I have no debt and never have.  They called me today and all i had to say was that this line is being recorded to ensure compliance with FDCPA and they hung up.   If they were legit they would have continued the call

I got a call today from them at work today.  I was in a meeting, my co-worker asked if she'd like my voicemail and she said no, she wanted to leave the message with her.  She told her to tell me she had paperwork to serve on me at work, we work for a law firm so my co-worker told her to have it brought right up, we'd have an attorney look at it immediately.  Nobody showed.  The call back number was 855-813-7402.  Already reported everything about them to the FTC, or I should say everything I could find out from the girl that answered the phone, which wasn't much.  I asked for their address so I could send a cease and desist letter to them and she refused to give it to me (illegal) because they fear for the safety of their employees.  Not sure I'd want to work some place that put me in danger just by giving out the mailing address.  Can't really do much harm to employees if their mailing address is a PO Box...right?  They operate under several different names and give out several different numbers.  I never did find out what she was calling about, they refuse to tell you unless you confirm all of your personal information with them first.

Got a call at work and on my personal cell from someone named Danica Taylor about some claim that was being filed against me.  She stated they needed an address to serve me with papers.  Would not give me any information about where they were located, and gave me a number to call 877-908-8072.  Have no idea who these people are or what this is about.  Very rude and threatening people.  Someone needs to check these people out and pull the plug on their operation.  This is ridiculous.

Received calls from a "locator" at work, to my boss at work & to my elderly parents at their home.  Was given the name of Paige Adams to call at 877-908-8072 along with a claim number. I did call (twice) and spoke with a young lady and a man named Nathan.  They wanted me to verify my physical address or the last 4 of my social, which I did not do.  They kept repeating they needed to verify my information to tell me what the situation was & why I would be "served". I would not give anything up and Nathan hung up on me.  I called him right back & asked why he hung up on me.  His reply was that he was trying to help me & they were very busy & couldn't was his time with me.  Have told them several times to cease calling me at work or my parent's home.  How do I get this to stop?

I first got a call from 731 256 7063 at work...told me I was being served. Gave me 877 908 8072 and a case nbr to call. I called out of curiosity and get some guy trying to bully me into paying for a debt I don't owe. The b*****d threatened to have my kid taken away! What a low life scum sucking loser.

On March 28, 2014, one of their employees or agents (Monica Wells-?Locator?) calling on behalf of Monument Financial Company contacted me and claimed I owed a debt to GTI Holdings in the amount of $430.00. She told me I had one opportunity to contact the firm or legal action was being taken. I called the number she gave me and I was refused to be given an original account number by Veronica at ext. 314 but I was given a claim # 1901223 for legal actions being taken against me.

One of their agents was leaving messages regarding a claim # 1901223 and threatening to take legal actions on my home voicemail relating to a debt owed to GTI Holdings, that other people have access to. They hung up (I get text messages when I have a new message on my home phone) and called my cell phone numerous times until I picked up. Once I answered she was threatening to have legal papers sent to my work if I didn't hang up and contact the debt holder. I had already contacted the debt holder and told them I was at work and would deal with it later and when I tried to explain that to the lady and told her to stop calling me while I was at work and to stop being rude and ignorant to me, she said "Okay well then I will have you served at your place of employment!" and hung up on me. She then proceeded to call me numerous times until approximately 7 p.m. that night. These people are in violation of the FDCPA and refuse to give me their mailing address or anything else so that I can send a Cease and Desist Letter. They also refuse to give me their lawyers information and state ID License number. They're a joke, Don't pay them ANYTHING!

They called me telling me I was being served today. I set up a payment plan but called back next day before I payed a dime because I realized statue of limitations had passed by two years so they could not pursue this matter in court anymore. He fumbled around throwing legal mumbo jumbo around. I countered every argument and he finally told me they were closing my case.

I used to have an account with US Bank around 2006 but it has been charged off. I called the bank and the amount i owe is not any where near the amount they say I owe. They threatened to send me to jail.

Okay so they called me and threatened to take me to court and issue a bench warrant for my arrest. They sent me papers after I gave them my credit card number. Ya I know stupid. I called US Bank and they said my account was charged off and the amount owed was not anywhere close to what they are claiming I need to pay. My 86 year old mother in law has been getting calls from Monument Financial 1-855-676-2777 recently (January 2014) attempting to resolve a debt they purchased in my name.  They are not only rude and pushy but they threatened if she did give up my contact information they would serve her a lawsuit as well!  In her good nature she wanted to help me out and requested information about the "case number" and balance.  After the "para-legal" on the other end of the telephone told her anything she wanted to hear, they asked if SHE WOULD RESOLVE THE PAYMENT WITH A ONE TIME CREDIT CARD PAYMENT.  Not only did they illegally contact/harass my elderly mother in law, they then proceeded to attempt to collect payment from her!  She is a little old, but still as sharp as it comes, so she asked for their physical address and phone number and she would get back to them (of course they couldn't give a physical address, even to mail a check).  The worst part is I paid this "debt" years ago and still have the Release of Liability form.  I sent them the release, and they still call her at least twice a week.  They are corrupt and dishonest, they tried to steal money from my elderly mother in law.  Does it get any worse?

Had several calls from this number, wife finally answered.  They left a phone number and case ID.  I looked up the number and it matched the on on Monument Financials web page, http://monument-financial.com/index.html.
I called, and they directed me to claims and litigations.  The man I talked with gave me a full name and said this was in response to a civil lawsuit against me.  He asked me to verify the last 4 digits of my social, I did not give them to him, but he read me the last 4 of the person in the suit it was not me.  He asked for my contact number and removed if from the case.  So, my dealing with them was very professional.

A young gal said her name was Crystal (no last name or title) just called my deceased mother, and told me she was from Docuserve, and told me, not her(my deceased mother, but she didn't know that), was being SERVED today, and so she needed to call 916 460 3614, to the department handling the case! It seemed unusual, since normally someone would not share private legal information with a third party, and I didn't myself until the end of the call. It seemed odd, since usualy they threaten to monitor or record a conversation (also a violation without authorization) or leave a call back number regarding a PRIVATE business matter for person they attempt to contact. She didn't know she was deceased until I told her. When I asked for her phone number to check out to later research and find all this on the Net, she hessitated 3 times, telling me she could barely hear me, and then finally blurted out . . . 1-855-676-2777.

Total scam they tried to tell me I have a civil lawsuit against me from US bank from 2006. Lol I've never had an account there! ! scam! !!!

This one has it all, "pay your bills" "business verifiers"" scam" Bogus websites, BBB reports different states unverifiable, shows signs of call center numbers. Kinda like a big smoke screen

This company calls any number they have on file even if its not your debt.  They call at least 3 times a day and ask for a different person each time.  They continue to call the emergency line at the medical hospital where I work and tie up the line all the time.  One of these days this company will have tied up the emergency line when there is a true emergency and have a nice law suit on their hands.

its a scare tactic used to get people to call and make a payment.

i have called numbers that have been recycled 10+ years before.
