got a call from this number saying they were from chse looking for a checK OF $3000 PLUS.  GAVE A MINIMAL AMT OF INORMATION  would not give the applicable card number nor who they were callinf for.  

I contacted CHASE [ Chase Risk- accountatrisk@chase.com ] about the phone call and asked if they had a record of this phone number.  This is the response I received......

Thank you for notifying us. We were able to confirm that the number you mentioned is a valid Chase phone number. We do not have the reasons behind the call but you can feel free to call that number or the number on the back of your credit/debit card.

Had fraud on my credit card from the Target compromise.  Got a voice mail message from 855-682-7046 ext. 2293.  Googled the number and found that many people were saying it was a scam, so I didn't call back.

If you have a CHASE credit card, cancel it immediately.  CHASE is a scam operation and a fraud.  They will falsely claim "suspicious activity," cancel your credit card without prior warning, then turn you over to a collection agency even though your account is current.  Never NEVER sign up for anything with CHASE.

the number 1-855-682-7046 belongs to  someone trying to scam you - it is not related to Chase.  If someone calls you from any credit card etc, always call the vendor yourself from their website - I called Chase directly from their website - each time a notice either by phone or mail is sent to you - it is indicated in their log of your account. No such message was indicated in my account.  So beware especially if the caller is saying Consumer Fraud....

By the way never had a Chase account So glad Chase realized someone else opened an account in my name that I was totally unaware of. Now with the fraud alert I have received other notices of someone trying to open accounts online with my name and numbers Again thank you Chase

Same thing happened to me.  Makes one very leary when they use a cancelled card number!  Are they so dumb to think we aren't any smarter than that?  What morons.

My wife told me that Chase called up regarding my account ending in the last 4-digits of my cancelled card.  I got suspicious and entered the number, that caller left, on google and saw these messages.  Thank God, I did that.

I did the same thing but it turns out that the security department calls don't get logged so the person who answers the phone has no knowledge that security called you. It really is Chase.

This actually is Chase's Security Department. I called the number on the back of my card and they called their security department and confirmed that it is indeed them.

Had a call from a man claiming to be Eugene Sittenger, claimed my husband filed fraud charges on our Chase credit card. Told him that was a new on on me. He gave the 855-682-7046 ext 8493. I work in credit & collections, can we just say S-C-A-M !!!!!!!

Same story - claimed a call from Chase. But it is a scam! I called the number on the back of my card and they told me Chase had never make such a phone call!!!

I just had a msg from this regarding a chase account I DON'T EVEN HAVE A CHASE ACCOUNT!

If this call was legit, it's very a bad practice on Chase's behalf. No way am I leaving my CC# in someone's voicemail. Ridiculous.

However I am actually in the middle of resolving a charge dispute, but I called the number on the back of my card and just asked about status of my dispute. Did not, and never will call back 'Mary Kay' at 855-682-7046 ext.7526.

I just got called from this number early on a Saturday morning - saying they were from the Fraud Department asking about a Washington Mutual account for a friend of mine and gave a this number to call them back!-

Had fraud on my Chase card few weeks ago.  Got a call from this number at extension 8567 - Suzanne Aeris.  She left me a message saying that it was a follow up from the card I canceled ending in acct number xxxx.  I called her back, it even has a Chase prompt when you dial through.  "Thank you for calling Chase Fraud Services....".  But her VM caught my attention - asking me to leave a message with my name, number and my FULL CREDIT CARD ACCOUNT number.  Then I went online and did my research.

got a call today from this number.  left a message saying they are calling about my chase card and she Mary is working on my dispute case.  left her number to call back..  Funny thing is, the only chase card I own, I have never used.  also funny my credit report lists it as in good standing and no outstanding balance.  Beware, they will try to get the info out of you.  Make them give it to you.  Guarantee, they will have no idea about your account.  They are scamming for personal info.

2 Missed calls from # 847.488.6000, left voice mail messages today on both of our cell phones asking me to call Patricia (Marcos???) at 855-682-7046 Extension 6687 regarding CHASE Fraud. We had fraud on our account in April. When I called number of back of my Credit Card and asked for Fraud Department, they had no record of call but said Fraud Recovery may have called. I decided to call to tell this Patricia (still could not make out last name) person to mail me any documents or questions via USPS. When I dialed 855-682-7047 extension 6687 I received a message saying it was CHASE Fraud and to leave my message and account number. I never heard of anyone asking to leave an account number which was very strange. I did NOT leave a message. Missed call # 847.488.6000 is" Land line in IL Valerie Jones Job CHASE Manager" so I called to inquire. 847.488.6000 number is CHASE#, transferred me to Loss Prevention who investigated, said they absolutely did not call, it is a scam, scammers have ways of making it appear call came from legit CHASE #, but scammers have you call another number. "CHASE would NEVER ask you to leave an account number on an answering machine"

We have some fraud on our Chase card a couple of weeks ago and closed the account.  Today I got a call l at home from this number from Ebony who said she was with Chase Fraud Dept and left this number with extension 7537. I called Chase number on the back of my new card and they don't have a record of anyone calling us and advised not to call this number back - it is a scam.

Had fraud on the card.  closed the card.  got a call from this number.  they left call back info.  i called the number on the back of my card.  they informed me that this is not them and not to call them back.  this number appears to be a phishing operation.  don't give them any info.

Got a call from these people at work...said they were from Chase and were referencing my account number, but they had the wrong number. Won't be calling them back!

This is a scam trying to get credit card information from you.  Said they were from Chase.  Chase said that it is not one of their numbers.  They will call and leave a message for you to call this number back.
