Received a call from this number- DIDN'T RECOGNIZE NAME OR NUMBER ON CALLER ID - DIDN'T ANSWER AS I KNOW IT'S AN ANNOYING/HARASSING CALL. Guess Best Solution is NOT TO ORDER ANYTHING ONLINE OR GIVE YOUR PHONE # OUT AS IT IS BEING SOLD TO EVERY TOM DICK AND HARRY ahem Spammer OR SOMEONE THAT HAS NOTHING BETTER TO DO WITH THEIR LIFE OR BUSINESS.  THE DO NOT CALL LIST SURE DOESN'T WORK - ESPECIALLY AROUND ELECTION TIME WHEN ONE GETS BOMBARDED WITH POLITICAL CALLS AKA ROBO CALLS THREE FOUR OR FIVE TIMES A DAY.

I keep getting these calls, also.  I have Comcast for my phone so I contacted them about it.  The person said she would put my number on the donotcall.gov list.  I told her that I had already done that but she said it'd help if she did it from her end as well.  She also told me it'd take 1 to 3 months to go into effect.  We'll see if this works but I would suggest trying it with your phone providers.

I keep getting calls from numbers that start with (855).  I don't answer them and no messages are left.  Most of them come in when I'm not home.  Anyone know what these are?

I received a call from this number today.  I just purchased a new phone system from Panasonic that you can block 30 unwanted calls.....I add this one to the list!  Thank you Panasonic this is a great feature.  Maybe the consumer can finally fight back against unsolicted phone calls!

Got a call today from 855-694-7180.  They asked for my husband by name.  I said no, I would take a message for him.  The Lady kept asking if I was Mr.---.   My god I have a high pitched quiet child like womens voice.  I told her no and I would take a message.   She just kept asking over and over to my response if I was Mr. ---. ( may be autistic people calling)     Never identified herself.   I just hung up.

I wouldn't leave your full or real name here either. I bet there are 'trollers' looking for folks they can actually find via the net.

There isn't anyone on the line because the robo call has managed to snag someone else so all the rest of the lines are disconnected so the 'live' call can be processed.

If you have caller ID just don't answer 855 calls. I screen all my calls and if I don't know the number they better leave a message or I won't reply.

"Charities" are not held to the Do Not Call List, nor are politics. I even got an 855 call to a cell phone. Just don't answer any 855 numbers. They never leave a message - at least haven't so far.

If you don't have caller ID just hang up on these twits. I donate locally of my time and sometimes funds. I don't need anyone else telling or asking me for my money.

There is nothing to report about these "charity" calles as long as they are 'legal' they will continue. Who can afford to use the postal system? No one replies to mail requests either. So these places use Robo numbers to dial several numbers at once and just hope for a response. The biggest problem they face in these depressed times is being believed. Some might be ligit, though most likely some one person or a select few are in paying posts. The big trick here is just not to get upset - it isn't worth it.

if it is a registered "charitable foundation" they are allowed to call you even though you are on the Do Not Call List (as I am)

Received a phone call at 8:10 a.m. this morning from a woman identifying herself as a paid fundraiser for the National Autism Foundation.  I interrupted her speech and asked if she could tell time, because it was too early to call.  I then told her not to call here again and to take our number off her list.  Don't know why she'd be calling since we've never given them money and they shouldn't be calling since we're on the DO NOT CALL list.

I just got a call at 8:30 AM. "Unavailable" on ID. Caller said she was from "Autism Foundation". Then why not put that on the ID? I think it's a scam or paid fundraiser who gets a large chunk of the take. Told them to take my name off the list.

They call repeatedly and there is never anyone on the line.

I have received call from many of these numbers and each time they are hawking a different charity!continue to tell them no and eventually they will get tired of calling.
Just say nothing else but NO and hang up!

I hate these type of calls. No message left or no on other end. Annoying!

Do not be scammed by this.  I took another guys advice and called the police.  It turns out that this is a porn site that is attempting to get your email address so they can ship you porn.  BEWARE !

These people keep calling and no message or answer when I pick up.  They should be shot.

What kind of legitimate fundraiser uses multiple phone numbers - numbers that ARE NOT IN SERVICE when you call them back.  Therefore they must be spoofing unused numbers.  Don't answer, don't call back.  Here's some of the numbers apparently involved:
