Of course you get the National rifle Association when you call back.   As stated many times on these posts,   the National Recovery Agency is spoofing and giving this number as a call back number in order to hide their identity.
If I called your number and gave the AAA Auto Club as a call back,  and you called it,  you would indeed get the AAA Auto Club.   No national organization that is dependent upon membership and donations would commit political suicide  what people are led to believe by the "National Recovery Agency"  bottom feeding collectors.
When they call,  they need to get a live person on the phone in order to threaten and scare them into collections or giving information on another person.  If you don't answer,   then you will get a false call back number so that they will maintain the element of surprise when they call back.    You may be calling back the National Rifle Association but it is the low life bottom feeding collectors  National Recovery Agency who is calling you.

These Cow F*ckers call me all the time using a large bank of phone #s. I've blocked at least 10 #s and they just use a different one. Its the National Recovery Agency all right. They are looking for my step daughters ex husband. He has never lived here and she divorced him 14 years ago. If they want to find someone why don't they try the DMV ?

I got a call from this number. I usually don't answer the phone from unknown callers, but I did since was expecting a call. They just hung up after I say Hello. I also agree with the statement  that this maybe someone paid to find working numbers to sell them.

Caller said she was from the NRA but didn't specify exactly what the initials stood for. Not sure why she would call a business line to talk about guns. But there you go.

does anyone else find it ironic that there is an ad on this site for a Telemarketing System?  In any case got a call from this number yesterday it looks like.  The message had a short expletive and then hung up...

Called at 5:00 PM. I answered and they hung up when I said hello. A HOLES !

It is DEFINITELY the NRA.  NOT the National Gun Association, but the NATIONAL RECOVERY ASSOCIATION (a Bill Collector).  They just will not give up even after 8 years.

Caller ID said toll free service, but no one answered!

We were called on 10/7 but our Caller ID only showed "Toll Free" with no message left; do not care who it might be (collection agency, National Rifle Assoc. whom we absolutely hate, or ....), as long as it is a either a number, toll free, unknown, whatever with out a personal name we no longer waste out time answering phone calls if a true name does not show.  One day the d--k heads with get it.  If an important call, our clients will leave a message & we get back to them.  

I get this call twice a day...rings only 3 times and if I answer it is blank??

CALLS ALMOST DAILY FOR WEEKS NOW, SO I CALLED BACK, & GOT A RECORDING CONFIRMING IT WAS THE NATIONAL RIFLE ASSN.
LIKE SO MANY OTHER CALLS, I GET, THEY NEVER LEAVE A MESSAGE, & I DON'T USUALLY C/B.  BUT SINCE IT WAS TOL;L FREE, I DID THIS TIME.  

I use a call blocker and block the area code. I only allow calls from people I know... the others can go to He!!...

A number only gets 1 chance to call me.  I have a program installed on my computer that will block any number I tell it to.  They get any message I want to send them.  Right now I only send "I'm sorry....that number is no longer in service.  Nice program!  Available at www.phonetray.com.

I receive calls daily from this NRA group (National Recovery Agency). They have called using at least 10 different phone numbers.  When they call my number they are looking for my ex-daughter in-law who skipped out on a credit card balance.  Who I haven't seen or spoken to in 10 years.  But telling them that I have had no contact with her in 10 years doesn't matter to them.  They continue to call.  And they ARE NOT the National Rifle Association.  Here is one of their addresses: 2491 Paxton Street, Harrisburg, PA 17111.  Put that address in Google Maps and look at it with Google Street-View.  You can actually see the building they work out of.  It has NRA on the front of the building.  They are bottom feeders that buy bad debit from banks.  They buy it for pennies on the dollar so anything they can get from you is profit to them.

Call the # back, press 1, then press 3, enter in your 10 digit number and they will remove you from their auto dialer. You do not need to listen to the prompts, you can press the digits immediately after it answers.

I just called 866-672 4000.  Had to wait a while, then got transferred to a taped message, then reached a person who wanted to remove me from their mail list.  I was overly polite the whole time.  I think that's important when you want to accomplish anything with people or animals. Anyway, finally got removed from their phone list and wished a wonderful day.

Thank you all so much! I called the number back and found out it is the National Rifle Association. I pressed 1 and listened to their history, etc. and it said to press something or press 3 to remove my number from their list. Once I pressed 3 it asked for the number to be removed and I entered my home number. It said it may take up to 30 days, but they will be removing it. So wonderful! Can't thank all of you enough!

I called the Customer service ( 1 866 672 4000 ) and asked to be removed, very nice and lets hope the calls stop!
