They also told me that I wrote a bad check and if I didn't pay that I would be a repeat offender and also I gave them all my bank information. I feel so violated

I was told almost something similar to yours. I was told I owe 785 and if I didn't pay, it would go up to $3000

I received a call as well and she stated she was with my local county and I would be served with papers today at my home and if I wasn't home then they would go to my job to serve me, however before she hung up she stated that the call would serve as my official notice. I called the # back after business hours and the voice message was Kaden Asset Group. Don't know for certain but I agree with others that it's a collection agency.

YES!!  Call the company where you have the loan.  The caller is a lying thief.  IF it was true, you would have received written confirmation, not a "private number" call.

I got a call from a private number and a lady (courier service ) said that I owed money to a payday loan place that is local and I do have an outstanding account with them. what seemed fishy was that she said I would be served this afternoon and also if I didn't pay now it would cost triple. She gave me a number 8557082197 to see what it was about. What seemed really strange was that the next lady I talked to said they already sent my papers to litigation so she would have to pull my hard copies. She put me on hold so I hung up. 2 sec later got a call back from said office and I SWEAR it sounded just like the lady from the courier service. I don't think so people. I'm about to call my loan dept. and see if its real.

Defaulting on a loan is not a criminal offence, contrary to what these yahoos are saying.  Per the FDCPA (the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) you should not pay any caller who refuses to MAIL - do not accept email or fax - a debt validation letter showing that you owe a debt and that the caller has the legal right to collect said debt.  Refusal to mail this documentation within five days of the first call is a violation of federal law and you should not pay them.   Also, even if you did "bounce" a post-dated check, payday loans do not fall under the "hot check" laws, so there are *no* charges, let alone charges as a "repeat offender" - how ridiculous.   Please do read what Tamianth posted above - good information on how to deal with such callers!

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim?s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims? relatives, friends, and employers.

these people called me too and said they would be charging me for wrighting a bad check to ace quick cash and if i set up a payment with them and it did not go through they would charge me as a repeat offender, also got called from a restricted number saying they were a process server and that they needed to serve me papers but wouldnt make me go to court if i paid the 397.00 im not a lawyer but that seems like a b***s*** lie to get my money definately a scam after everything ive read on here but the number was 855-447-8391 i called back and left a message saying not to call me. i do owe ace quick cash but i didnt fraudelently not pay them back i lost my job and havent had the money in my account to pay them

They called and left me a message stating that I would be served today at 1pm and to have two forms of ID and a witness.  I called the company Kaden Group who was supposed to issue a stand down order if I would make arrangements to pay them.  I am not employed so they cant garnish anything.  Nobody on the phone wanted to give me the spelling of the company name or any info.  This guy put me on hold while he talked with the "contracting co." and said they would only accept full payment as of today or I would be served.  When I looked them up on the internet all I found was stuff saying this was a scam.  I am so tired of being harassed I could just scream.  I'm practically suicidal as it is and then this BS?  Still waiting to see if they show up at my door.  I'll let you know

HELLO I RECEIVED A CALL FROM CAYDEN ASSET GROUP BACK IN SEPTEMBER OR AUGUST OF 2013 AND WAS TOLD THAT I OWED A PAYDAY LOAN OF 450.00 DOLLARS.THAT I WAS TO PAY IT OR GET SEVERED PAPERS TO HAVE TO GO TO COURT.....SO I PAYED IT....THEY SAID THEY WOULD SEND ME PAPER WORK FOR MY RECORDS...IM STILL WAITING......THERE NUMBER IS (877)801-8403....COULD IT BE I GOT SCAMED....AND IS THERE ANY WAY I CAN GET MY MONEY BACK....MY NUMBER IS (219)713-1820.....

The company name that called my  mom was "Kaden Asset Group" but with a different number.  They called from 855-447-8391. They even said that they felt sorry for my mom because it was so close to the holidays and that they new it was a really bad month for everybody to pay debts.

The Kaden Asset Group called my mom as well.  They told her that she had papers that were going to be served today, that she needed to call them back immediately.  When she called, she was told that she had been sued for a fraudulent check on a payday loan company. ( The same as previously reported on the comments) that she had been sued for $2625.00 and when my mom asked how she could arrange this out of court she was told to hold while a Mr. Goldman spoke to the attorney's. He then told my mom that they were willing to settle for $875 wanted $250 today and the remaining balance on the 31st.  When my mom told Mr. Goldman that she was going to talk to my dad he said that she only had until 2pm to call and work out a settlement.  My mom called them before 2 pm and NO answer, left several messages stating that she was trying to come up with the money and her call was not returned.When my mom contacted the loan company she was referred to a collection agency that had her file and it seemed that they had already sold it to another collection agency...she then told the customer service representative from Del Rey capital that my mom was not supposed to be threatened or harassed.  That it was more than likely a scam.  To call them back and ask them for a letter validating the debt and the original documents of the debt.  My mom called back and still no answer-she left a voice mail requesting the above mentioned documentation and nobody bothered calling her and they supposedly closed at 3pm.  My mom was also told that her bank accounts could be frozen and that she would be served at 2 addresses, in which my mom never provided any other addressed to the loan company.  They did not give her a house number though.  We were hesitant on this company but now that I see a common name "Mr. Goldman" I know it is the same company and the greeting says it is Kaden Asset Group but they are using a different number now.  They are calling from 1-855-447-8391.

Exact same thing just happened to my husband. A process server called him and said he was going to serve him and told him to call the number. A lady answered and said he had to pay the balance or go to court which the loan company could triple the amount. Scammers! Another point is that she got nervous when my husband had her on speaker phone. She ended the call very quickly.

My husband just got this call. Its a scam and they get rude when you start to question them. Don't pay them anything!

I keep getting harrasshing phone calls from this number, same thing as everyone else.  Can someone please stop these people from harrasshing?

Got a call from Michael Evans (Kaden Asset Group) telling me that he was working in conjunction with Broward County Fl on a case where he claimed I wrote a fraudulent check for a loan and the I was going to be served shortly with papers. When I asked him who specifically in Broward county he was working with he became rude and at first refused to tell me . When he stated that he was helping out a Broward County Company I stated that since he was not an official , or a lawyer , and that there was no such check , he became totally abusive and told me that I'd be hearing from the courts and hung up .TOTAL SCAMMER

I got a call from these IDOTS today BUT I was given a different number from the so-called courier service company contacted by my local courthouse...the number is 877-621-7159. The guys name was Chuck and spelt the company's name Kadyen Asset Group and when I asked him where their office was he said "well...I'm located in upstate New York". So I told him my attorney would take care of this matter for me and contact them directly. This is a collection agency using a different type of tactic to collect a debt!

They called the front desk at my work and told them information about collecting a debt, which is illegal. They also continue to call me at work even though I told them not to do so. No one has shown up yet. My attorney said they probably won't because people who serve papers usually just show up, they don't call and announce it.

I have reported them to the Attorney General what they are doing is illegal and you should report them to your states attorney general.  It is illegal to threaten somone for dept it is also illegal to pretend to be court officer and most states have laws against payday loan interest.  Please reach out to your attorney general it is free and will give you piece of mind.

I now pick up the phone and blow the whistle they will get the hint.

These people actually called my supervisor and embarrased me badly! Has anyone EVER had them actually come to your work like they say? I am afraid if I dont pay they will come to my work???

How do you know its a scam, if they have all you're information.... Im just wondering because I also received the same call and I am so stressed. I do owe pay day loans but I am unemployed and have been struggling. Please tell me if they can come to your home and serve you. I want to pay but I cant make big payments, and they dont want small payments.

I received a call from the same number telling me the same thing. They also called my family member to give me that message. Thought that was weird an illigell to give my name and info on an answering machine.

got a call from unknown number.  Said that this person was a legal courier and some one would be out in the next 24 hours to serve papers and to have valid id.  My son is an attorney and he said this was definitely a scam.  He called the Attorney Generals office to report the call  back number of 855-848-1092, Kaden Asset Group.

I received a call from Kaden Asset Group at work today. they told me that they would be coming to my job and will have my supervisor witness them serve me papers for court for not paying a Cashnet bill.  I told them not to call me anymore because I filed a Bankruptcy in January of this year and they told me that it didn't matter and they could still collect on this debt. I told them I was going to contact the Federal Trade Commission because this was a violation.  The agent got really angry and asked me why wasn't I so big and bad when I made this bill and then he hung up.  Everyone should report them to the BBB and FTC.
