Just thought I'd check back and see whats new with this scammer. Looks like the website changed the phone number to (855) 715-7569 (instead of 7568)! Onward to the new phone number!

Scammers go for UPS Stores or Mailboxes Etc. stores rather than P.O. boxes. That's because the U.S. Postal Service will, upon request, give you the real name and address of any PO Box owner who uses their box for business purposes. (And if you sign up for the PO Box telling the USPS it's not for business purposes when it really is... you're in big trouble.)
So I'm only a little suspicious if a business gives a P.O. box as an address. Mailboxes Etc. or UPS Store? Big red flag!

Thanks! I have to say this weekend's shills and trolls have been most amusing, if not downright predictable! Hope all is well in your neck of the woods.
Gunnar 2014-01-18 19:57:40 Unknown
Yep, that's almost too bad. He was almost as much fun as our favorite "DeFective" was. It's so hard to find good competition these days.
Hope you're having a good weekend El.
Live Well.

Notice that Mr Bolin is no where around .. guess he has given up.

FAKE COMPANY. Place is a scam. Got a very vague call from a blocked number that informed me to call this 855 number. The call was for a "complaint forwarded to [their] firm". Didn't give any info about the company or what the "complaint" was about. Looked up the phone number they wanted me to call and it takes me to a website for Pacific Acquisitions & Associates, LLC. The address on their website, as you can see in the other comments is for a UPS store. Other hits for that address on Google also lead to more numbers this scammer is calling people from and more companies he is claiming to represent. Looks like he was calling from the following numbers in the past and claiming to be these companies as well. See for yourself and google search the address on their website (12523 Limonite Avenue #440) and look at the results... More caller scam alert websites. Here are some of the results of companies he claims to be and numbers he is calling from...
Century Asset Management / Hamner Investments / Century Associated / Mark Cook: 877-221-0608
Colonial Legal Services: 888-960-6292
The BRISTOL group: 877-957-5025
Game. Set. Match. "Thomas Bolin"... I think you are the one who needs to go out and get a real job rather than calling and harassing good people to pay a fake debt collector. Unfortunately for us, he will just move on to another company name and another phone number as he has been doing in the past and probably eventually change the address he is giving people.
If you find more numbers/websites/companies he is posing as, post them on this thread as they will help others getting calls see this thread.
ShillKill 2014-01-17 19:28:12 Unknown
I missed this thread so I'm just coming up to speed. Guess this bottom feeding jabroni was putting on the "legal expert routine" trying to make veiled threats about "litigation" and he got called out on it? Turns out the LLC is less than four months old and he is talking about "litigating cases". SMH. And then it turns out his "office" is a UPS store.
Then he replies (regarding the UPS store) --- "It protects them from nutcases who would seek to do them harm." I would assume actual attorneys who practice family law have lots more people made at them then some wanna be attorney who calls people on the phone so that logic certainly wouldn't hold up with his argument. He is probably some maggot boiler room type who owe's everybody in the world and the professional debtor is trying to hide from his creditors. SMH what a deadbeat!
Elspeth 2014-01-17 18:47:55 Unknown
What I find amusing is the fact he implies he's an attorney, then when called on it, turns right around and says he never said he was one - but yet, he is representing a litigation company.
ShillKill 2014-01-17 15:05:08 Unknown
Okay, let me try to get my mind around this. The "shill" is talking about "suits" that this company files. Yet according to the LLC registration and whois details, this group is likely 3-4 months old. How on earth can they be filing any suits about anything? I'm wondering what court or what group would work on that quick of a time table.

Their site at pacificacquisitionsandassociates.com is cheesy and void of any real information. All the photos are stock images. I've seen the photo of the "receptionist" above the contact page link on a number of retail sites (usually the low price/discount sites) and I remember seeing the picture of the ?happy employees? on the site for another outfit that was shilling this site about a year ago. The pretty blue building, that we are supposed to assume is their office, doesn?t exist anywhere near the two addresses that have been connected to this outfit. Their Mira Loma address is in the middle of a shopping center which is full of buildings no more than two stories tall (as opposed to the at least four stories shown in their photo) and they are finished in the earth -toned stucco that is all too prevalent in Southern California. The Corona address is in the middle of a light-industrial area and the buildings there are of concrete slab construction again of two stories or less. So their website starts out presenting a visual lie to its visitors. Every page is filled with generalities about their ?services? that were probably the boilerplate text that came with the template they used to create the site.
Their contact page is interesting; in that smack dab in the middle they show a map of their location. The map uses Google Maps for its presentation, so it is very easy to zoom in and see the UPS Store denoted on the building where they are ?located?. You can also switch to the satellite view and easily see that the building is nothing like the one shown just above on the web page (that photo is splashed across every page of their site.) They actually make it easy for a visitor to quickly determine that ?something is not right here?. (Now that I have pointed this out, it will be interesting to see just how fast they scramble to disable this feature of their website. Of course, that would be just one more big red flag against the legitimacy or their company.)

Yet another comment in which you are absolutely wrong. Real process servers just SERVE court summons - they don't ask the alleged debtor to call the person who contracted their services. I don't HAVE to ask what's wrong with you!
SMH 2014-01-16 19:49:10 Unknown
How do you threaten people with the law when you obviously do not respect or follow it. You call to collect in New york when New York Prohibits collections of Payday loans. I will wait for your response. Here is an excerpt of the letter they send to debt collectors that collect in NY.
Further, collecting or attempting to collect on legally void usurious payday loans violates 6 RCNY 5-77(d) since doing so necessarily involves false and misleading representations, including "threat[s] to take any action that cannot leagally be taken or that is not intended to be taken" and "false representation[s] of the character, amount or legal status of any debt."
Angry as Hell 2014-01-16 17:27:57 Unknown
Great rebuttal !!How true.. 99.99% of scammers have a PO BOX or listed at a UPS store or such. UPS stores will transfer the mail to another address as directed by the individual so that they never have to go to "mailbox."

The whole point of what's been posted is that you shouldn't believe everyone who calls is who they claim to be. Legitimate, law abiding companies have no problem providing you via mail, proof of debt and proof they can collect that debt. Any caller who pressures you to pay immediately, refuses to send the federally mandated debt validation letter, who tries to scare you by uttering threats of being served, wages garnished, etc - should be reported to the FTC, FCC and your state's Attorney General.

google alert will notify you if you previously set the criteria. also, try to get an electronic message like email sent to you from people you dont know. then you have proof of their true or bogus claims, which hods up in court. but then you can also look at the header of the emails, and see if the MX info matches, or if it looks like it was fabricated. know that wire tapping of phones is illegal, and in most cases you must state at the begining of the call, that the information is being resorded, other wise its illegal and not admissible in court. But thank you t everyone that posted, this gave alot of information for me to research, sorry i cant base my knowledge soley off your word, because you as a source is unreliable, but was informative . thanks
