It definitely is Shaw :)

Hello every one!  This number is LEGITIMATE!  I called the number and spoke with Shaw :)

got a call from shaw,
my bill is past due
paid it online via online banking and gave the reference number to the person.
all clear now

as ive posted many times before, this is legit.

if you are unsure, dont give them your cc, just pay with online banking and give them the reference number and they will make note on your account.

I?m really confused about this number...got a voice message said i owe shaw...and i checked my shaw account...and it's true..

Is this only an coincidence or ...?

Total SCAM - do not take this seriously. They also apparently work under the number 604-629-3050.

Called stating that Shaw cable needed my account paid up or they would cut me off.

it is because your bill payment is late.

there will be a pause after you pickup for hte recording to start.

If anyone gets a call from this number it is a scam. They pretend to be Shaw cable and if you try to call back they will ask for a credit card number saying that you have a balance it is an automated machine.

I got a call from SHAW regarding billing inquiry, also I gave my Credit card number, after that I was worried about op did I give to SAHW or Scamp number. Please let me know this number is belong to you our your agent.

This number is from shaw communications. They simply left a message as a reminder to return their equipment when my service has ended

Hi 855 729-7658 called today and I answered the telephone. A recording spoke and said that all lines were busy and to call again later. .... em THAT made now sense. I called the number later and it says its shaw. hmmm

Received a call. Hung up when I picked up. Based on what everyone else said I think Shaw was calling because I have equipment that I need to return.

I work for shaw cable and have had people calling in with issue due to getting calls from this number. It is totally a scam. When you call back it may say its with Shaw, but it is not. Its a third party company trying to gain revenue. Do not answer any questions if they call. If youre worried something might be wrong with your account, sign up for a shaw account and you can see everything us CSRs do. =]

Got a call from this number today. When I answered there was no reply and they hung up. I live in Ontario and don't have ANY shaw services whatsoever.

Got a call from this number then called shaw and there have been no calls to me from shaw. This is definitely a scam. BEWARE!

got a call from 8557297658 was at work so missed it but they didn`t leave voice mail. checked the number and it was reported to be scam

Got a call today jsut now..I never answer from 1800#;s...then I look the number up jsut to see...

I got a call from this message.  When I answered with "Hello", a recording said "I'm sorry.  Call back at another time."  They called *me*!  I checked out who it was on Google and got this site.

It's not a scam. We recently cancelled our Shaw Internet because we are moving, and it was just a reminder to return our rented equipment.
