The number they are using now is 1-855-677-8948.  the first person who called me 4 consecutive times was named Ryan Franklin, who then give me this phone number from RH Group.

Listen, David, the people at this number are NOT debt collectors. These calls have nothing  to do with loan, bills, or debts of any kind. These people are SCAM ARTISTS. They want to steal people's credit card information and probably also their identity.

This guy is a scammer. He claimed his name was Jordan and that he worked for Microsoft. He told me my computer had been hacked and was filled with viruses. He also said that my ID had probably been stolen. This was complete BS and I knew it. He wanted me to download software to fix my "problem". I hung up.

Any company which does NOT or will not give you their name and address, is suspicious!  If they are legitimate and on the up and up, they will have no problem identifying themselves.

Received call from RH group left a case number.  I called back to see what kind of company, "John" told me they are a mediation company.  He went on to say they mediate divorces and other cases needing mediation.  I find this utterly ridiculous, as divorce mediators are contacted by the individual via the court or through their attorneys.  I am not in the realm of needing a divorce mediator or any other mediator as I have no outstanding debt.  I called again after reading a post from "Alfalfa" and asked "Mr. McCormick" for the business address.  He became very agitated and told me when I wanted to cooperate by giving him the case number that was left on my v.m. he would talk to me.  I asked him again for his address and he started screaming into the phone.  I was actually afraid to give anyone the case number or any other identifier since I have no idea how information dangerous/savvy these people are.

You have a bit of a brass neck to be complaining about people whining about "inappropriate tactics" being used to collect on ALLEGED or FRAUDULENT debts!  Those tactics are illegal and contrary to FDCPA regulations.  And I doubt very much that 99% of the people who post here are criminals, thieves and scum bags - although I'd say that about the debt collectors who use illegal (not just inappropriate) tactics.  Oh, and it's actually PARASITES, not "paricites".

Ah, actually, he's NOT a thief.  But you're obviously a shill.  And scammers often "spoof" phone numbers, which is, in effect, stealing another person's phone number.

They're scammers - if they really were able to collect the debt, then they would send you the legally required debt validation letter and copy of the original contract with original creditor showing your signature for said debt.  Remember - if they can't or won't prove that you owe the money - to them - that means you do not owe them anything!

Well unless you're sharing a bottle of 100 year aged scotch and a nice Cuban cigar, good luck contacting your state attorney general. Approx. 1 billion people in your state and you think the STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL is gonna care you had a loan with a high interest rate YOU had agreed to. HAHAHA...yes I just laughed in your face. Think of a better world crises to submit to his office in the mean time.  Like how your head should be examined and that you're probably a threat to yourself or others. Good luck!!!
Sincerely,
David William Esq.

Little do other people reading this realize, 99% of you posting here are just trying to avoid paying your bills. People know they received these loans, and either physically or electronically signed to pay back regardless of the ridiculous interest rates. Think I've ever had a person who took a loan out ask me to defend them in court? NO!!! They can't afford to repay a loan they can't hire an attorney. So moral is...QUIT WHINING about the fact 99% of you in here are actually criminals, thieves and scum bags!!! A "collector"  may use inappropriate tactics but stealing the loan/s...quit crying and be adults you social paricites.

I received two calls in quick succession this morning from this company. The lady who called me used the name Amanda Walsh. They said the call was about a formal complaint, a summons. I called them and they said I owed Check n Go and was being sued for defrauding a bank, check fraud, and something else. Three charges, all stemming from 2008. I informed her I am disabled and have no income, she put me on hold. She came back and said she talked to their legal adviser and there was nothing they could do, and said nastily "Good luck in court."
Then I got a call from my parents, that they called them after talking to me.
Then on top of that, I received a call from a lady I have never met in another state saying that I called her about a summons. So they called someone using my number as the caller ID. We had a laugh about it as I talked to her, but this is too far.
I told the lady to contact the FCC.

Also received a call, saying that my wife was being served for a court case and gave me a number to call and a court case number.  The guy idenitifed my wife by an alias that she doesn't have, and when I said that this was not a name she does by, the guy was cheeky enough to suggest that she was hiding something from me.  He then said that we were officially served and hung up.  Thanks for all the confirmation that this is a scam.

Recieving multiple calls from Tracy Dow saying she is a process server and that I had 30 minutes to call 855-731-5137 with a case number.  She calls 3 times back to back several times a day and has also started calling people with my last name in the phone book.  I called the number today, spoke to Casey Ventura and found out it was RH group and she said I had two criminal cases pending for fraudulent use of a check for $1500 from Check N Go from 2008.  I KNOW I've never taken out a loan in that amount from them.  I asked for validation of the debt and she said all that they could give me was the court documentation.  I am aware of FDCP laws and asked the appropriate questions.  She said they are mediators, not debt collectors.  I'm happy to have checked out the information presented on this page.  I will be contacting the FTC and the State Attorney Generals office.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how we can stop these calls?  I too am receiving these calls at my work, on my cell, even my parents are receiving them.  I basically screamed in their ears to stop calling me, especially at my work, yet they continue.  I've told them that I have already contacted the local police so go ahead and serve me.  They keep telling me they are going to give me one chance and one chance only yet when I dare them to serve me they won't.  I'm sick and tired of this and frankly, it's getting rather embarrassing!

Aside from changing my cell phone number and quitting my job, is there anything I can do to stop this?  The number is blocked so I can't even give that to the police.  Help please!
