This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

I got the same thing they called my job and said they would be coming to my job today and his name robert fisher i wish i knew who it was

I received the same call on jan 2 2013. what a scam! Best part was that they left the message personally to me, yet it was for my ex-husband

Received a call from an alleged "Kate Jackson" (never gave a company name) saying a "formal complaint" has been filed against me and that they are calling to inform that they are getting ready to file "papers with your county court", and that they "will be serving you papers at your home or place of employment".  Left the phone number 855-759-6957 with a "case" number at the end.

I am 99.9% positive it is a scam--I mean, no one calls to "forewarn" you they are going to serve papers; they JUST SERVE THEM.  (No process server is going to just give you the opportunity to know when they are coming so you can evade them, sheesh!)

So seriously, Ms. "Kate Jackson"--how gullible do you think I am?  I am completely debt free, don't have any credit cards, house payments, car payments or ANYTHING.  So serve me with your alleged "court papers"!  I would love to see the documentation!
