They called me looking for my brother and leaving info on the phone. How they would have gotten my number in another state when I have never been used as an alternative number is suspect

Received a call that I owed money and that I needed to pay over 1k that day or that I was going to be served papers for fraud the following business day or two with my supervisor present and two forms of ID. I proceeded to ask if they had the correct addresses for my work or home. They proceeded to discuss how i needed to pay the money and did not seem to mind what workplace or addresses they had. Unfortunately I know this game all too well. Not to mention, I AM the supervisor at my place of work. I hung up the phone. They proceeded to call my ex-husband's wife stating they were attempting to contact me for a legal matter, that i wouldnt answer my phone, and that I used her name and number as a reference..would never use her as reference! At next exchange of children, ex's wife informed me 'agency' called her and said what 'kim' did about legal matter from county and that I used her as reference.(while in a custody dispute). I am sure this will be used against me in an ACTUAL court proceeding. You would think if you're going to be serving someone papers at home or work, you would want to assure you have correct addresses. Additionally, the only thing a server is worried about is your location. It takes more than 1 business day for a filing a suit with the county, handling to server, PI to serve, ect. I know this all too well from ex and family processes of various motions.

I am an American. They have broken my rights. They do not get to share any such information about anything to my ex-husband's wife.

Ok here is the solution to the little lying piece of crap named Brian, which I dout is you real name. It doesnt matter that the company screwed over you, now you have this little £¥??stick like Brian who cares nothing and you or his so called client it how much can he make off of you. Well here is trick folks not only can you stop the harassment you can stop the calls if you are on a land line request a address of there company then send them a notice to only contact you by mail. Its federal law. Second Iif they are calling on your cell phone go and down load Mr Number it is an app that allows you to block there calls and it will not go to your voice mail you can also set it to any call that dont show a number works on telemarketers too! Third there are reverse phone number companys that for a fee will get you all the info on this person like there address then you can for a fee have an associate go over with a Louisville Slugger and show this lying piece of crap some etiquette!  Im going with the associate.

Google is not a data base it's a search engine. Maybe you should check a real data base. People always complain check your data base Sir. Check it for McDonalds, Disney world, any thing you would like and you will find a complaint about it. Debtors complain because they are not happy campers when they get a call saying you have to pay a debt. Every person called has a loan that was not paid back. We will represent our clients to the furthest extent of the law. To the people that decide to do the right thing and pay back money they borrowed we find them an easy solution. Have a great day!!!

How is life in the boiler room treating you?  I've been looking around some data bases, and I am yet to find any evidence of this being a legitimate organized that is bonded and licensed to collected debt.  Moreover, there is not one piece of evidence that I can located that you have actually produced a debt validation letter when asked to do so.  I apologize in advance if you can provide proof to the contrary.

I have been able to find is many complaints and a June 2013 Craig's List add looking for debt collectors (for $11 and hour) and instructing folks to contact a "Steve" at extension 108.

It is completely ok with me that all calls are recorded and monitored by the fbi because we are calling regarding debt that IS OWED and we did send a validation notice to every person called. People if you owe a loan pay it back. It will cost you a lot more later. Have a nice day!!!

I wouldn't worry - scammers always call and try to frighten people into paying on debts they don't owe.  If they had proof you owed the debt, they should have sent you a debt validation letter via USPS mail.  Also - no one calls you ahead of time that they're going to serve you - the court process server just shows up and serves you.  Plus - 2 forms of ID?  Why?  You don't need ID and you also don't need your supervisor present.  Report the calls to the FTC, the FBI and your state's Attorney General.  Let the callers know that all calls they're making are being monitored and recorded by the FBI.

Yeah, sure.  Problem is, people are being harassed over debt they DO NOT owe!  Also multiple FDCPA violations - threatening with a lawsuit, be "served" at work, etc.  Yes, they ARE calling "random people"....  Just because "Brian O'Connor" was very polite and professional" does not mean this "agency" is legitimate...

You are also responsible for their attorney fees if you are sued over a debt that you owe. Make it easy for yourself and just pay your debt. People I understand these calls are not pleasant but you owe a debt, they are not just calling random people you no exactly why they are calling. They are very easy to work and offer many options to get the matter resolved. Brian O'conor was very polite and professional!!

If this caller is attempting to collect a debt in Texas (which is the only state in which I have been able to locate a "Bexar County"), then you might be able to use the information here from the Texas Attorney General:

https://www.oag.state.tx.us/consumer/debt_collection.shtml

However, there are many laws that may or may not be applicable to this attempt to collect a debt - or to illegally extort or blackmail you into giving criminals (if that is who they are) money.  Whether Texas law applies is not even immediately obvious, given the relative paucity of information that gets posted here in general and in your comment, too.  (I don't blame you for that -- you really don't want to post personal or financial information on the Internet or waive attorney-client privilege.)

There are attorneys that offer no-cost initial consultations for free and who may even take your case for free because some laws require the offending caller (not you) to pay all your attorney fees and costs if you win.  I suggest that you look for such an attorney in your state, and that you do it quickly.  (I think some of these laws require you to do some things within as little as 30 days, or else you may lose your right to some remedies under the law.)

Still pissing people off?

These tricks don't work anymore, so don't bother. I can't figure out why people like you would waste so much time on a blog site like this. Seems to me since I've started posting off and on for about a couple of years now, the Users, and other Guests know what consumer rights people have, and review them on a daily bases.

Your tactics are not going to work because people are starting to know better, so take my advise, and just get lost.

Hi Mr. O'Connor,

Here's a little bad news for you:
"A public relations agency hired by video game developers will settle Federal Trade Commission charges that it engaged in deceptive advertising by having employees pose as ordinary consumers posting game reviews at the online iTunes store, and not disclosing that the reviews came from paid employees working on behalf of the developers."

?Advertisers should not pass themselves off as ordinary consumers touting a product, and endorsers should make it clear when they have financial connections to sellers.?: Mary Engle, Director of the FTC?s Division of Advertising Practices

http://ftc.gov/opa/2010/08/reverb.shtm

http://blog.ericgoldman.org/archives/2010/08/ftc_dings_pr_fi.htm

In case you still can't figure it out, what the FTC has determined is that posting false statements by employees posing as "ordinary consumers" violates false advertising regulations and can lead to sanctions including heavy fines.   Every time you post one of your bogus reviews, you're breaking the law, which I suppose is business as usual for you.
