I've gotten two of these calls in the past week, both claiming to be looking for a "Morgan Butler" to look into fraud charges. The caller threatens that if I don't respond by 3 PM today, she will dispatch the police to my home. Last week, it was a man calling with the same threat.

They called several people I know asking about me but would provide any further information... idiots

I have received a few of these calls asking for a "Gardencia Garcia" on fraud issues. First message said this person had used me as a reference. Both of the calls received a week or so apart threatened to send a Sheriff by the end of the day to arrest this person if a return call was not received. The call comes in as "blocked" and the person says they are Investigator Richard Cole and is calling in reference to Case PDYP9000The first call I ignored and didn't respond. The number comes up as blocked but the message gives the 855.767-3822 number to return the call.

Got a call saying that Investigator Brown was the Attorney for the Payday Loan Company. They gave an amount of money wanted to clear the loan and if not done they would have the sheriff's office come out and serve. I told them not to call me and hung up. I then get a call stating it is from the local sheriff's office and due to the type of claim I should contact 855-767-3822 to resolve the matter and avoid a warrant. CRAZY!

They called and said they were investigating a fraud of someone else but said this person who I don't even know used me as a reference.  They had some "case number" I called them back and told them I don't know that person.  Supposedly I'm supposed to be removed from the "list".  They asked my last name which I didn't give.  I wouldn't give them a single bit of personal information, sound like a huge scam.  Beware!

Yeah got a call from them as well called a few of my family members they are frauds. Good thing my husband is CSI and found out the truth. Thanks baby.

Received a call from Morgan and Associate..threating that if i dont paid a warrant will be issued..and it scared the hell out of me..and i found out it was fraud!!

Calling wantimg me to pay 100.00 dollars today. For a payday loan. Talking about serving me when I go back to work. Putting a warant out on me the orginal loan was sold.calling my siblingthe caller was bryany young ,they are callimg from 8557673822 what do I do

Also the person calling to "locate" me says that Morgan & Associates is located in OH.  I found no listings for that company in OH!!!

WOWSA first they have someone call to "locate" you, mind you they never called my cell # just my work #.  That was after leaving the same exact message on my work line for another person's name!!!   When you call the number they want you to call, they just answer "hello",   What kind of business answers the phone hello..... SCAM Total SCAM!!!!!

Sounds like they are the criminals since they are lying and using different company names, etc., when they do call.

Someone by the name of "Investigator Brian Young" called with the caller ID of "Ring Group". He was asking for someone who doesn't live here, and I don't have an address or hone number for.

I asked what law enforcement agancy he worked for.
He said he was a private investigator in Florida working on a fraud case.
I told him the person wsn't living here and I had no contact info for them and to not call here again.
His response was - I'll call you immediately again if you hang up and continue to call you every minute after that.
I told him he could not do that because it was illegal and he said it wasn't.
----It is illegal becasue they are a for-profit company, not a law enforcement agaency, and once I said the person was not here and I could not help them, that I had not done business with them or anyone they are doing business with, and to NOT CALL ME AGAIN, the law says they can not call you for at least 1 year.
He just said he would call me continuously....
I hung up.
He did try calling back - 5 more times before I was able to enter the number in the blocked list.
I'm calling the Washington state attourney general's office to file a complaint and will also file one with the DNC.

-- IF -- they were doing legal business they will give you their full (and correct) name, the full company name they work for, their current & correct address, their current & correct phone number. and maybe the full company name they are doing work for. Also once you tell them the "person" they are looking for is not there and you cannot contact them with either an address or phone and to not call back again, they will simply say "Thank You" and that they will remove the number and not call again. I have had a few (very few) do exactly that.
-- IF -- they lie and are harrassing or threatening, then they are the scammers and doing debt collection, or whatever, in ways that are illegal under federal and most state laws.

Calls every day looking for the same name person.  They claim they will take my number off their list.  When I asked them what number and name I was asked if I was (wife's name with her birthday and S's number) if they know that where do we go ftm here?

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

Got a message from Investigator Rico James from Morgan and Associates Law firm in Florida asking for my brother. Called them back and he said they would send the sheriff to his home or place of business to arrest him if he doesn't respond by 5:30 today about an unpaid payday loan on which my name and number were used as a reference. I don't know if it's an empty threat/dirty tactic by a bill collector or if there's any legitimacy to it.

They threaten to come to my house and employment with a court summons. They even called a couple of my friends and threaten them about me. What a joke!  All idoits answer the phones at this company. I believe they are "crack heads"!

Just got the call also. They threaten to have the Sheriff department come arrest me. No mention of who they are just said her name as Investigator Green. Watch out on this one.

This mumbling b*****d called  saying  this is a fraud investigation.  Sounds like he has marbles in his mouth.  He threatens to send the sheriff to my house. Don't just threaten it. DO IT!  If this SOB calls one more time, I am filing a state and FTC complaint and will get paid, $1000 per violation. I know the law you MF....Kiss my a$$!

Keeps calling daily saying with Morgan and Associates working a fraud issue against us...never uses our names and is very hard to understand his mumbling.  The threat is that if you don't call back by 5:45pm, he will call the Sherriff to come serve and/or arrest you.  BIG SCAM, don't bite!
