Shame on Verizon for outsourcing our information to a 3rd party telemarketing firm and for resorting to a practice customers HATE. Shame Shame Shame.

This number called my parent's house ( guess I never updated my profile info, numbers, etc.) and told my mother they were calling from VZW and told her something strange about someone using my phone or some charges. 1) I was immediately suspicious that its an 855 area code  calling regarding this 2) VZW never calls me, let alone to a landline. They always send a messages to the phone or notification under the online account.  I didn't bother calling back. my account is fine, phone .. fine. They have no reason to call other than to peddle some upgrades or whatever. Piss on that!

Received a call from this number today and let it go to voice mail. "Larry" from Verizon Wireless Loyalty Department, left a message for me to call him to go over my account.  He did leave the same number.  Sounds legitimate.

Got a call on my landline; the caller ID just said Toll Free. They left a message saying it was a call from Verizon Wireless Loyalty department. Both my wife and I have Verizon cell phones but I was curious as to why they were calling my landline. Since I wasn't sure about the call, I called *611 directly from my cell so I knew for sure I was calling Verizon Wireless. I asked them about the call and message. They were able to look up my account and verify that indeed Verizon's loyalty department had just tried to call me. It was a reminder call about one of our cell phones being eligible for an upgrade (which was correct). I asked the person I was talking to why they called my landline, and she said that it was listed as an "okay to reach at" number on our account.

Caller said he was from Verizon, and wanted to discuss my plan and upgrade options.  Fair enough, and he rattled off the various phone #'s on my plan and their recent usage numbers, but I was wondering to myself, why did they call my landline?
 He finally put me on hold 'to look up something,' and after a few minutes, the call disconnected.  

 I went to my Verizon account online and changed my password, just to be safe.

It was the Verizon Wireless loyalty program.  They called three times before I finally answered.  

This number keeps calling

Some guy who can't pronounce my name said he was from Verizon and wanted to discuss my phone usage and options. I told him it is my phone, not his, so stop calling me. He said he would remove me from his list.

This man said he was from Verizon and proceeded to argue with me about my service.  I finally ended up hanging up on him

This number has called me at least 3 times everyday for a week know. Annoying!!

I just called Verizon and verified that this number is from the Verizon loyalty department after they called to offer me a different plan. My account showed that that guy had just called.

Said they were Verizon calling to thank me and update.

Got a call from this number and didn't answer it.  Tried calling the number and they claimed it was "Verizon Loyalty" and wanted my name, phone number and password to our account.  I refused and blocked the number.  There is no reason why Verizon would be calling our home number.  Think it must be a scam

And, again, 4:46 p.m. PST, 12/12/13.  G'way, already...

Called landline at 10:43 a.m. PST 12/12/13.  I didn't recognize the area code, and Caller ID said "Toll Free Call," so I didn't pick up, and no message was left.

Registering your phone numbers to the Do Not Call list is very important because it gives you the leverage to go after telemarketers who call you after you've asked them not to.  The associated laws call for the violating telemarketer to pay the consumer fines of $500 per incident.  These fines are tripled if the incidents are aggravated - for instance calling you before 9 am or after 9 pm or calling you after you've asked them not to.

The best part is the fines are payable to YOU, the consumer.  Not the government.

I had a documented case where a telemarketer called me so excessively that I calculated the fines they owed me were in excess of $25,000.  I pulled my documentation together and wrote a demand letter to their legal department stating they needed to pay the fines or I would be turning my documentation over to my state's attorney general for prosecution.  About a week later one of their attorneys called me to negotiate a settlement.  They FedExed an agreement to me, I signed it and FedExed it back at their expense, and they FedExed me a check the next day.

Just out of curiosity,  what is it that you think the DNC should be doing for you?

i have Do Not Call, so why is this #800 calling??? i did not answer and will not!!!

This number called me today. I called back and was holding for 20 minutes so I hung up and called *611 from my phone to find out why they were calling. The lady I spoke with informed me that this is not their number and that they had no reason to call me. I think its a phishing call... DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION.

they call and hang up. . .   calling my cell phone - ticking me off.  Called many times in the last few days.  

I called the number back it is Verizon - but why are they calling - they normally text their messages to customers.
