These debt places buy old debts from your creditors .....then go after you for them
BUT Ontario Canada has a statue of limitations on collecting debts .. 2 years
BUT if you admit to the debt ( they record calls ) it starts over, just tell them that person doesn't live here OR say sorry I have no idea what your talking about and hang up

This company tells me i owe 100.00 that i did not pay the bay 20 years ago and if i dont pay they will mess my credit up, i told them i dont owe any money and if so there is a statue of limitation they did not even let me finish they keep trying ti intimidate me. I hang up the phone before i hangup the man say i will call you everyday. I have been receiving calls at least 3 times per day 3-4 times per week. I need to know if is better to call the local police number and report FDR phone number 1855-771 6020?

It's a debt collector , they buy your unpaid debts from whomever you owed money too. Don't admit to owing it or what it is ... Just say no idea what your talking about and hang up, there's a 2 year statute of limitations for going after unpaid debt in Ontario BUT If you acknowledge the debt and admit to it, it starts all over again

I got the same message with a reference number as well as their address which seemed all so odd because I have no outstanding bills. I am hosing not to call back however if they call me I will be letting them know I have reported their con a$$es!

I'm an ordertaker for Pizza Pizza and I get calls from these clowns on the Pizza Pizza number all the time. It's blatantly obvious they're just trolling the phone book looking for people to scam. Do not respond to them in any way. They are not a legitimate collections company. What a bunch of f*cking idiots.

It is a Collection Agency.  The guy was really rude when I said he got the wrong number.  He got into it with me and I hung up.  He said he would keep calling back.....and he did.  I said I would just call the police.

these guys call me everyday, sometimes its a automated call and sometimes its a real person. they wont stop i already reported them to the police force.

They are a load of crap.  No one is forced to pay anything they cannot pay so this so called collections agency is trying to use scare tactics to boost their numbers.  Hey, it's the agent's job to collect so they are going to use whatever BS to get you to pay.

On the other hand for those of you that received a call from them and do not know of any bad debts, I suggest you get your credit report from Equifax and Transunion in Canada and in the US from Equifax, Transunion and Experian. It's good to get all of them since some creditors only report to only one credit bureau. In the US you can get a free credit report from all 3 agencies, don't know about Canada.  

I always get this number calling me every day and sometimes more than once a day. I do not know how to get rid of this.

get call every second day on my cel phone if I had a debt over two years old they would not have my cel number I only have this number 18 months.maybe someone else had number before me .Get text messages also texted back telling them to stop ,no response they keep calling and texting ,going to get legal help is next step.

This is FDR a collection agency. They try to overstep the rules by calling more than 3 times a week, they call and hang up just to harass you. I'm reporting them to the ministry of consumer services. The joke is that they've got the wrong number! They don't care and they persist, in my opinion, they're just miserable a***oles with no life! Read your rights and don't put up with these pariahs!

They are calling and harassing every day. I've never been in debt or owned money to nobody, never!!

this company is still calling me every day, the have my name and last name and i keep on ignoring, them and the left a message with a reference number they have now address to verify they have a company,but i knew they are scam  because they have been calling since last year, i want them to stop calling me, see my post from last month.

FDR is based in Ontario and is governed under Ontario Law.

Statue of limitations is 2 years - if the company who you originally owed debt to does not take you to court and receive a judgment against you it is in all likely hood they will have written off the debt as bad debt. Banks and credit card companies have budgeted for bad debt write in fact one bank in Canada let the government of Mexico off to the tune of over 200 million- yes 200 million

Tell them that they are calling wrong person and advise them that you will report to CRTC if they keep calling again and again.

They are calling me for no reason. Even I told them that they are calling wrong person. They removed my number for few weeks and then calling again. I will report them to CRTC soon. They will be charged by CRTC if they call me again. I know that one company in Toronto, got charged by CRTC for $5,000 for calling a wrong person again and again.

received a phone call today from this number and the recorded voice of the person they were looking for was in 2 different voices a male and female!! they also stated the file number was 00001112334!! sounds a bit fishy to me thank god I looked up the number and found this forum

I got a call today asking for my brother, who never lived here. Was a person and not automated. Must have gave my number at some point.  Didn't say why he wanted to speak to him, but asked me how long I've lived here  (not that that had anything to do with the price of apples!).  Told him he lives out West!  He couldn't even tell me how long my number was on his database......he said he would have it removed! Glad I found this site, cause I can't find much on this number!
