You people never heard of Call Block?  Works like a charm

I have been getting calls DAILY for the past month from a recorded message at the number 855-771-6022.  The recorded message says that it is from FDR.  Every day, same call, same recorded message, same voice.  I just did a reverse look up and apparently from the other postings this "company" is saying that they are a debt recovery firm and they are a scam.  I have no debts outstanding so I am not calling back, but I would like their phone calls to stop.

They are starting to call me daily about a parking ticket issued by IMPARK. Parking lot was Metro Liberty Villiage.. went in for 5min came out and had a ticket - at 5am. The guy probably was staked out watching from a hidden place cars that roll in and dont pay, then when the person goes into the store, they quickly give out the ticket and leave right away. I looked around and didn't see a single person anywhere. Seriously, they hide after giving the ticket! Fine was $74.. pretty wild. Was pitch dark and apparently there is a sign that has an agreement that when you park on their property, you enter into an agreement with them, I guess even if you don't see the sign. I understand what I did after the fact, and just choose not to pay, realizing that they could tow my car if it's parked on their lot again. THAT'S ALL THEY CAN DO. NOTHING ELSE. They can't sue, affect credit, or garish wages or anything like that. All they can do is send collections after you which is mostly just an annoyance, and tow your vehicle. Calls will stop, I blocked their number but am frustrated they are able to access my cell phone number from the the MTO. Infact I didn't even know the MTO had my cell. No idea how they dug that up, which is a bit scary. Stupid thing on their part is they gave their address in the voicemail. So now anyone who was tormented by these guys can find out where the office is and give them some love. Bad move FDR. You do realize that there are crazy people in this world? I'll just brush this off and next time I park in their lot, I'll get out of my car, go hide, wait for the guy to come over and run out and have a nice friendly conversation about the trials and tribulations of being a ticketing guy for a parking lot company. Seriously, that job must....

Trust me you are safe,they are way past the expirdation date,NOT that they will listen,they"ve been harrassing us for 12 yrs. Sent them proof of the debt was paid after 1st call,report it as harrasement,or contact the company itself.MIGHT stop them,or ask them if they are hard of hearing or just ignoring you,or give them this number to call 1-800-Heaven.and hang up.

This FDR company keeps calling my home number almost everyday at all hours of the day.  All they leave for a message is a phone number and a reference number along with the address of the company.  The message also says this is an urgent personal matter. I have faxed them cease and decist letters but they still keep calling.

i've received numerous calls from this number and have NO OUTSTANDING DEBTS STOP CALLING HERE, AND THEY CONTINUE TO CALL!!!

Daily pre-recorded phone calls from this number over past week stating FDR and need to settle a personal matter while I have no outstanding matters

I received a call from this number asking for myself to call back so I did the lady informed me it was a past due account from Zellers 1998 I laughed and reminded her it was 16 years ago, I do not ever remember having a zellers account what is the longest can a collection agency go pass on a bill, do I fight it as I believe it has become dormant does anyone else know  Thanks

this will not only stop them in thier tracks but give you the legal standing to take action against them in small claims court for anything the put on your credit report without verifying the debt with you as per your instruction. If they dont verify it and have a signed bill for you and someone that can be held responsible then the debt doesnt exist.  the law says : no lawful bill = no value. ..as per the bills of exchange act

send them by registered mail a notice that you conditionally accept thier offer and will pay in full as long as they meet the following conditions.
To lawfully verify the debt and factually identify you as the person. They also must make the lawful presentment of a properly signed bill, identification of a responsible party and thier bond numbers (incase they injure you they are publically licenced bonded collectors) and that all futher contact be made in writing with the signature of a responsible party. And then you give them twenty days to respond to your notice and note that if no response is given to this notice within the time allowed it will be understood that these debts are unverified and any further contact or action on thier part except as per above will be accepted by you in private contract for chargeable services to them at the rate of 500 dollars per hour (or whatever you want ) and add if the actions against you by them are found to be fraudulent that you will attach legal liability and charges to them for any injury or damages that they cause to the fullest extent of the law.

Number calls twice a day leaving a msg when my phone doesn't even have time on it for me to call it, the number is 8557716022 they don't say anything just a annoying scam got me phone to rid of problem

This number called me this morning.  Call display said FDR.  Guess I was lucky she was very nice to me.  She did ask how long I had this number and said for over twenty years.  Would like to know who they are looking for.  There has been more than one company after this person.

Keep getting calls from this number as well as 1-877-316-7404. Left a message on my cell saying they were from FDR and have a important business matter to discuss regarding C.I.B.C. Well I know exactly what it is about and it was when I had C.I.B.C. put a stop payment on a bill and somehow my account went into overdraft even with the stop payment. Well both FDR and C.I.B.C. can go kiss my a**. Neither of you are getting nothing from me. Lol the message today even left a address for the company, dumb move on their part.

I've had FDR calling me for a month, daily. Sometimes even twice a day. Tonight they left a real message from a real person with the name of the person they are attempting to collect the debt from. I called back and was treated politely and told my number would be removed within 48 hours. I was happy with the treatment I received tonight.

However......the person FDR was looking for has been the topic of conversation between myself and other debt collectors in the past. Three this year already actually.  And I find it hard to believe that FDR will remove my number so easily from their system. How do they really know I'm not who they are looking for (I'm not but they seemed relentless).  Finally, while I may have gotten lucky tonight with them, they are certainly NOT following the requirements of their industry under the law. They are required to provide notification in writing prior to calling. They are permitted three exchanges per week (inclusive of conversations or leaving voicemails) and I've been getting them daily to the point I've considered changing my number. I wish someone would hold these companies accountable under the law and this lady would stop using my phone number!

why d'ont you have it set up to call forwarding...so when that number calls, have it forwarded to the rcmp or emergencies services or even to someone in australia...after a while they will get the message and know your on to them...lolololol...take care

Had several calls from these people called them back. A very polite person said they had no record of my phone number, then he offered to put me thru to another department. I agreed to this then the line went dead.

For the record, I have no debts. In fact the bank owes me money!

I can block unknown numbers or private. . but I know some people who have private numbers and they wouldn't be able to call me.  Pisses me off, these people claim your phone line...you have no control.

got call from this tooo... I blocked it.  They keep calling.  I guess they can use multi phone lines.  @#$%@##.

I blocked the number of these idiots, and now they are calling my number every 62 seconds. 13 calls so far.

Obviously an auto dialer, I wonder how long they'll do this before they give up?

This number also calls me daily, I never answer and there's never any message aside from a 'blank' message. Everyday at 7 am and 1-3 times again throughout the day I get these calls. Occasionally I'll get a call at 9 pm too. I don't bother to answer because I don't have any debts for anything. I would call them back but then I'd have to give out my name and other personal info.

Yet another update:  They have now resorted to blocking their outgoing number from caller ID so you can no longer block them.  For bottom feeding scum who'd rather steal from others than make an honest living, they sure are persistent.  You'd think by now they'd realize that I'm not falling for their scam and they'd move on to the next sucker, but no.

Followup, after blocking 855-771-6022 (if you're with eastlink, dial *60 for self serve number blocking, very handy) I've gone about 6 days without these con artists calling me.  I'm guessing to avoid prosecution they have to cycle their numbers pretty often so now they just called me from 877-316-7404. These guys have got to be the most persistent con artists ever.  Most other places after a few tries without getting you to bite they move on to the next guy, but these guys seem to hope you'll get annoyed enough to call them back.

I think these guys are just posing as FDR ltd which as far as I can tell is a legit collections agency.  I checked their website and neither the number they called me from or the number they told me to call them back on are listed on FDR ltd's website as contact numbers.  They probably just call thousands of numbers at a time hoping they get someone who's got some outstanding accounts so they can con them out of money by letting them think they're paying off their bills.  Every time they call me the recording says I need to call them back by a certain time the next day.  It's really sad to know that there are people out there who fall for this crap.  If people stopped being so gullible, these con artists wouldn't be making money so they'd disappear.
