Ok I got the call today and I got suspicious when they refused to give me any type of receipt or paper proof til the whole thing was paid and they told me they had no website but could email me a final receipt I called the courts in my are thy said any lawsuits are processed through them the only thing that concerns me is the debt they told me I owed is a real debt... Was anyone else's a real debt that they were claiming?

This is a total scam! you need to make a formal complaint with your state!

I'm still getting these phony calls and they still refuse to send me information on this so called debt.  I've read several articles that this is the newest trend in getting people's money.  Do not fall for it!  You all should file a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission so they can be stopped.  You can fill out a form online, it's quite easy.

All I can say is don't worry about these idiots.  It's a dumb call center that they move around the country when people like us bust them.  The guy told me his name was Ryan Cambell too, but in the background I heard another answer the phone with the same name.  Coinsidence?  Nope, scam artists.

this spfbh guy probably works for these guys. Im guessing someone tipped him/her off with a threat and they followed up. If not then spfbh is not all there in the head.  I would ignor his/her comment and stick with the other 40 post that say this IS a SCAM.

I get a call from a lady named Ashley Smith telling me I owe $1865 including penalty and interests fees. from a payday loan. when I asked what was the spelling of the company she hesitated. I also asked could she send me paper work explainging this matter she hesitated with that too. Im not sure what kind of company this is, but something is not right about it...

They called my cell Phone the other day asking for Larry something. My name is Sarah. I told cassie skipper she had the wrong number. She seemed confused and hung up only to call back immediately and leave a voicemail for Larry. All from a blocked number. Any bill collector shouldn't be calling from a blocked number. So I decided to look it up. Now I hope miss skipper calls back. I despise thieves, scammers and low life's.  I wouldn't stand for it! Get a lawyer. Don't give these people yoiur money.

Just received a call from this # from a James asking to collect on an issue that has been satisfied years ago.  This is the 5th type of collection agency in which I have had to deal with within the last 2 years and sometimes I am dealing with 2 agencies at the same time trying to collect on the same thing.

This is such a scam!  I called to return their messages and they tried to feed me the same story.  When I asked for written proof the guy Ruan Campbell got irate on the phone.  I ended up hanging up on him.  Then throughout the day I crank called them for fun!  You should all do it because their responses prove they're not a real collections company.  They would try to disguise their voice after awhile.  These scumb bag scam artists deserve a taste of their own medicine. Get creative and crank call, we can play this game too!

All this is too much!  I actually gave in to some a**holes like this a couple years ago.  They promised a letter and a receipt of payment.  It never showed.  Payday loans pay themselves back on your next pay date automatically.  What these morons don't know is that I was a debt collector for a while and am very familiar with FDCPA laws and regs.  Last time they used scare tactics to get me to pay...unfortunately it worked.  Not this time "Henry". I'll be recording the calls on my end as well!  They said I'd be sent documents to appear in court for bouncing a check across state lines, and they would notify my employer as well.  Ha! I've moved and changed my job since so good luck with that.  Bottom line...don't pay.  To do: call state attorney general.  Problem solved, problem stayin solved!

i got a phone call from ryan campbell and he said i owed 2 payday loans and i said no i dont and i sent him letters stating they were paid off and he keep telling me they stole my money so i had the companies to call him .its a scam

You legit owe the money because you defaulted on a payday loan.  Im sure you remember.  It is your choice if you want to pay them back or not.  They could actually try to sue you in civil court but probably not due to the small amount of which you owe.  These people are just bill collectors.

Received the same type of phone call today and yesterday..asked them to serve me the papers I will take care of any debt I owe if it is legit. they argued with me over the phone and wanted me to make an agreement I told them to take me to court then they will gwet their mony(if I owe them anything) They stated to me they are from Las Vegas. I am reporting it to the police tomorrow.

They called me from a restricted number. Said I needed to call the plantiffs office about a fax that recieved in there office. She needed to schedule a date and time to serve me legal documents, Since I didnt answer she would be actively serviing them. Umm excuse me wouldn't a sheriff serve me such documents if they exsited and second you wouldnt schedule a time to serve me you would just do it. FRAUD I will not be replying. The girl that called me was Kelsie Skipper.

This was a legit call for me.  I did have an old pay day loan that never got paid.  I finally was able to track down last year who was carrying the debt.  Payment arrangements were made but they never cashed the checks.  They sold the debt to this McCarthy Arbitration.  I have been unable to find out who the debt was sold to until he called me, so actually I have to say I am glad they called.  Obviously, I wish the debit had been paid but I'm cleaning up my debts and I will pay this.  I spoke with a gentleman by the name of Ryan Campbell and he was quite polite and I had no problems (yet).

I received a call from the same people, always seems to be about fraud. I never intentionally closed an account, that would be the only way fraud could be done. I called the attorney generals number and filed a complaint.

I got a call too and they said the exact same thing. These collectors lie every time and say "FRAUD" to scare you and they tell EVERYONE that they are going to serve them at their home and place of business. Well they have never served me in over 2 years..Ive never bounced any checks. Only thing on my collection is a loan that I couldn't afford to pay back many years ago..They are annoying but they are just trying to scare you into calling them. Next time if you pick up the phone tell them they have the wrong number and they will stop calling.
