Once you identify a number as someone you don't want to talk to, enter the number in your cell phone contacts as "spam" and set the ringtone to 'no ring'. Then you will not be bothered again. Now wish I could figure out how to make the spam texts stop....(Can only block 3 or 5 numbers, unfortunately).

Keep getting spam recordings. i spoke to someone once and told them to remove my number and they said "yeah that could work" and hung up on me. this time i pressed 1 and it disconnected immediately. So annoying especially since all my numbers are on the Do not call list.

I agree! All these harasment call are from a bunch of terrorist trying to scam Americans out of there hard earnd money so they can fund an other terrorist attack on our home land again but the government is to invoved in raising taxes to worry about cyber terrorism!

Thanks, Richard.  That will be very helpful if these scammers call again.  It will give us even more info to pass onto our country's "do not call" database.

Call came in on my cell phone and said it was from "Your Credit Card Services", but I don't have a credit card. Also, it said, "this is an urgent warning that your credit card rates re about to go up WE HAVE SENT YOU SEVERAL NOTICES AND THIS IS THE FINAL WARNING". I've received nothing in the mail from this company. Pressed "1" as requested as I wanted to talk to a live person & get removed from the list, but as soon as someone answered & I spoke, they hung up. I tried to dial back and got a message that said, "not in their data base".   I've reported them to donotcall.gov

They called my cell phone and left no message.  I hate these scammers who use spoofed numbers to make ILLEGAL robo-calls to supposedly lower credit card interest rates.  All I can do is report them each time they call to the Do Not Call website and add them to my phone book under SCAM so I don't answer it when they call back (which they will).  

I've learned the hard way that, when you stay on the line and press "1" to speak to a live person, you waste your time because that person will be obnoxious and will hang up on you.  

Also, by answering you verify that your number is valid so they will try again.  *sigh*

HOW did they get my cell number???  It is on the NO CALL list.  That thing is nuts.  I think that allows creeps like this to get our numbers to drive us crazy!!!!

Called. I went immediately and had their number blocked through a wonderful app called Call Control. This app is available for Android phones. Not sure about Iphone.  But, I am pretty sure that something like this is available for IPhone users.

They call me quite  a lot using various phone numbers.  When asked to be taken off their call list or where are they located they hang up.

It is likely spoofed and a scam.  Please continue to file FTC complaints. If they get enough they will enforce.  I suspect its a fraud. No legitimate company would do this.

I wonder if call block works on spoofed calls.

Robo call to consolidate credit card debt into one card.

I've gotten calls from these idiots too, The message said that they've tried several times to contact me about my credit card account and it will be closed if I don't respond immediately.  They asked to press 1 to talk to an operator and when I asked what the company name was, she hung up on me.

This number 855-814-4506 is a recording for Card Services.  When you press option 1 to speak to someone, they are ready to OFFER you LOWER credit card interest providing you have 3000.00 in debt.

Each time I have talked to someone to request being removed from their calling list as I do NOT have any debt, they HANG UP -- this is ridiculous, harrassing and pathetic business practices for the company it supposedly represents.

What pressures can be applied to get them to either take you off their list -- or put them out of business?

This one calls regularly and rings a long time. My Caller ID says "Toll Free Call".  I only answer calls I can identify. From the comments of others here this is just a B*****D harassing people for name info.  The call may be coming from Canada to get around the No Call List which I am on.  Our  Congress should declare war on phone harassers instead of wasting two billion dollars a year on Bush's two wars still going on. Our country is great on starting wars but doesn't know how to win a war. We haven't won a war since WWII. The Korean War is still not ended ans we still have 30,000 troops there. Where are our bright leaders?

(no "notices" have been received from these folks, who used to call about "your credit card" and then couldn't say which one they were calling). I wonder if this will be soon ruled "Free Speech" by the Rogers Court, and strike down the Federal Trade Commission's "Do Not Call" list. Unitl then, I file a complaint with the FTC at
{https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2}. Many times on lookup these things are registered as cellphones, and usuall y are not calling from the area code they carry, which probably means a SIM chip has been inserted into a robo-dialer.. If the FTC cannot go after the user they will go after the carrier.

Like many of you I pressed "1" and got a CSR.   When I said remove my number from your stupid call list, his response was "Your Stupid", and he hung up.

The next time I'm going to go through the process of signing up for their sevice and give them a false name, social security number and credit card number and make them work a bit trying to sort it all out.
