I haven't been called by these collectors but if any of you are from NYS post it her and I will advise the NYS Department of Financial Services.  The NYS AG is suing NYS debt collectors collecting on Payday loans taken out by NewYorkers.  They just shut down 5 companies and hunting!

I had dealings with this company they are legitimate but not nice, If we would not have taken out these payday loans we would not be in this boat I say stop trying to dodge our responsibility and just pay these people there money that we did honestly take out. Most of the time we our making it seem as If there a fraudulent company when If we go by our contracts we our all taking out financial loans under false pretense, becuase these high risk loans are only two week loans...... Sorry about you guys expirience but I learned the best way to get rid of them is to just pay what I owe.

I also got a phone call from these scammers.  When I didn't return their phone call, they proceeded  to contact one of my personal reference contacts I listed on a payday loan, from Titan loans out of somewhere in Florida,in 2008
.  They told my elderly fist stage dementia father that they had a warrant,to arrest and court,for a loan for which he had no clue about, claiming federal charge of passing bad check across state lines, requested 1440, he talked them down to 756.00 ,And pd it by debit card.  He was scared, bullied and scammed out of that money. These people will get their money out of anyone they can listed on your loan.  Watch out for these crooks, also told myself and dad that they're going to send  us paperwork to states paid in full from Titan loans,BMGPayday Loan,LLC.

Yes, I receive these calls daily from 3 different numbers 214-269-8345, 855-824-7050, 855 603-9977.
What's funny when you try their 3 intials in the directory theonly name on there is Frank Freeman. Mrs. Turner, Bill Johnson or Goldstein do  not exsist on the directory list. Bill Johnson claims to be the manager of the office. They are harassers big time they yell on the phone and they refuse to give their location.

855-824-7050 called my brother first.Threatend me with a warrant if I did not pay 1756 and was willing to lower it to 510. Asked me for my debit or credit account number. That was when I got suspicious on the call. Had personal information and told me I had to look up the information for the company they were working for.
Freedman and Goldstein Frank Freedman was the caller.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:
Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.

Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.

Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.

Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.

Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.>

I received calls, too, including at work. I have been in contact with these people, tried to work with them but they are intimidating, unreasonable, and harassing. I am going to call again, tell them AGAIN they can call my lawyer and AGAIN give them all the contact info. They will not send you info through the mail-at least they would not for me-I have the right to know specifics of what their problem is in writing, even though they insisted they could not mail me anything. I will tell my lawyer and let him handle this.

I received a second message from 855-824-7050 stating that I needed to call back about fradulent use of my information at a financial institution. Maria Santiago called last week, the lady today didn't leave her name. Said she was calling from Freedman and Goldstein. I will not call back but I hate this feeling of being harassed.
