This number just called - caller ID says "Anonymous". If you feel the need to be Anonymous, then I feel NO need to talk to you. Did not pick up, and blocked the number. Done.

If you have an EBR (existing business relationship) they can call. So if you have done business with the NRA in the last 18 months by law they are allowed to call. The way around this is to be placed on their internal DNC. Every business must scrub their list agains internal DNC and the national DNC before calling. The internal DNC overrides the 18 month EBR and the calls will stop.
The NRA is calling me because my membership is due and they want a renewal.

This is a known scam number. call back once and you get a children's charity, call back again and it's the United War veterans pick up service. Both these screens are used by this company that has been indicted by the Attorney Generals of Pennsylvania, NJ and Massachusetts. As you can see they are in the Northeast and they're scamming again. Write to your prospective Attorney general about this number calling you and put a stop to it once and for all.

Indeed it's not the National Rifle Association. It is exactly as described........spoofed number. I pity the fools that just don't get it (understand) how the spammers do their dirty work. That said, it's interesting to see just how long the spammers continue using a ancient phone number spoof. Oh, well.................buy 'em books and they still eat the covers off of 'em.

You're wasting you time and effort Jason. The dumbing down of America has been a great success. Half of the posters here have no clue what is actually going on or mentally incapable of grasping what has been explained to them time after time in other posts, and the other half can only helplessly shake their heads when trying to explain it to them.
| jason 2013-11-23 21:21:25 Unknown |
I guess many posters have yet to learn about spoofing a caller ID and how the "National Recovery Agency" collections company is spoofing the National Rifle Association as a call back in order to hide their identity from those who don't answer their phones. Answer your phone and they will claim that you owe a debt and make an attempt to collect over the phone. They spoof the National Rifle Assoc. in order not give away who called and maintain the element of surprise when you answer.

I'm pro gun but don't need to be recruited by the NRA. With that said there are so many other do***e bags calling me everyday. Power companies, credit card solicitors, phony Bozos from Microsoft telling me I have been sending virused emails then say I need to log onto a website so they can help me clean my system. Yea right !!! All they wan to do is install a key logger on your PC so they can get hold of your desk top and clean out you bank account. The only real way to stop them is to change your phone # to an unlisted one. A pain in the a$$ but thats the only solution.

I see most of these comments are older. On Friday afternoon I received a call from this number from a guy who spoke perfect English asking me if "my boss" believed in fair legal services for all. I cut him off at that point and said that we weren't interested. I assume it's for legal insurance. In any case, yes, we are on the DNC list and I guess the people that used to own this number sold it to legal insurance guy.

1-855-825-6859. The calls are coming in hot and heavy - five just this afternoon. Called this number back and they answered "this is the national rifle association with a message about recent up-dates." Seems a bit strange they call every few months I am not interested. I am sure they are looking
for funds. I have read that they have plenty of funds and plenty of members? Give them 5 bucks
and they will never leave you alone.

Today is Nov 6, 2013. SOLUTION to the calls we have been receiving every day for many weeks from 855-825-6859 (cid TOLL FREE CALLER). No one answers when we pick up. I called the #. It's the National Rifle Association. I listened to their brief automated response, then pressed "1" to listen to "more info about the NRA". At the end of this 2nd message I pressed "3" to be removed from their call list. Very friendly and easy.

IF Somebody was wanting to get people upset with the National Rifle Association what better way than to do exactly what SCAMMERS would do. Do any of the numbers actually come back to a Valid Company?

::sigh:: This gets SO OLD! I have to waste my time and resources dealing with dirtbags like these. And yes, the National Rifle Assn is a bunch of bully thug dirtbags. I jumped through their hoops to have my number(s) removed. Let's see if they do anything.
I can't figure why they felt I would be interested. I'm one of their biggest adversaries.

Today is Oct 29, 2013. I received a call from 855-825-6859 and the Caller ID said TOLL FREE CALLER. I looked it up on here and then called the #. As previously reported...
It's the National Rifle Association. Listen to their brief automated response, then press "1" to listen to "more info about the NRA". Then press "3" if you want to be removed from their call list. Very friendly and easy.
I only wish that they would put their name on their Caller ID.

This is a scammer or debt collectors. That NRA recording you heard was likely fake. That number does not appear to be associated with the NRA...
| weasel 2013-10-23 21:48:18 Unknown |
All you did was confirm your number. You'll likely get more calls now...not less...
