Wow, you know I worked as a Bill collector for a long time and you scumbags make me sick. You come up with every excuse to why you dont pay your bills and the first thing out of your mouth seems to be scam! The scam is YOU stealing from the world! Pay your bills and be a good american citizen instead of adding to the national debt!

Debt Collector
This number is a joke! They called my dads work saying that he owed for an old payday loan through a company called CashNetUsa. They told him that he had an hour to return their call or they would serve papers. They did the same thing about a year ago and nothing ever happened. Both times, they refused to send any kind of documentation proving that it's valid charges. We contacted the county court and they said that there is nothing in their records at all and if they call again to report it. When i called the company back today to tell them to either send legal documentation or go ahead and serve the papers & a lawyer would be in touch, the guy said he would serve the papers to both my dad and he was filing to have papers served against me as well. I told him good luck with that & have an awesome evening. Its a scam, dont fall for it.

I don't answer 'private' calls.  If you are that secretive then you ain't about much.  They left a message for me looking for someone I don't know.  They claimed to be a process server.  First hint of their scam was they used my maiden name which hadn't been used in 20 years.  Second hint they claimed they were looking for a relative that had put me down as an emergency contact...WTH?  The only thing I had in common with the person they asked for was the maiden name.  Third hint, they called a legit relative in another state with the same last name looking for me to find the person they claimed was my relative that they needed to contact.  I put my legit relative on alert.  If they call again it's going down!!!  Per FDCPA one time. So tired of this crap!

Yeah, right pal!
People! If these people call, demand a full, complete and legitimate letter of validation. By mail. NOT e-mail or fax. If they can't, or won't, provide it...they're FRAUDS! It's just that simple.
Be Safe. Be Aware.

Debt Collector
No it is not.  They are scam collectors.   Anytime they refuse to provide written validation for an alleged debt, as required by the FDCPA they are violating the law and are just using scare tactics to force you into making a poor and hasty decision to pay them.  Do not pay them a dime.  Next time they call you,  demand written validation, via usps,  of the original debt including a copy of any signed contract that may exist.  They have 5 days to provide this under the law and if they do not,  you don't owe anyone anything.......Google   FDCPA and read about your rights against debt collectors.  Expecially these who lie to collect,  and  use illegal and unethical tactics.  Learn and know your rights,  and these bottom feeders can touch you...

Debt Collector
called claiming to be an arbiter on an old payday loan from several years ago.  Said that if I paid immediately I could avoid being served by the end of the day.  Also called my son's number and told him that I had bad checks and the only way to avoid being served was to make a payment via debit card of prepaid card TODAY.  Otherwise I would go to court.  REFUSED to send any written documentation and became abusive when it was requested.  I don't have outstanding loans or bad checks.  Told the caller that people generally got arrested not served when they had bad checks and to go ahead and serve me if they have a legitimate case.  Otherwise to not call again.

In a separate phone call form the same number the caller claimed to be a process server and threatened to come to my place of employment.  Invited him to do just that and give me proof of his claim.

so far no takers on my offer.
