I am Deaf. I have been looking for a job since 2008 and I wasn't able to land a job especially in the hearing field:
http://deafcantgetjobs.blogspot.com/2012/11/reasons-employers-wont-hire-deaf-people.html
I was able to get a job in a Deaf industry but got laid off 4.5 years later. I was able to get my SSDI reinstated without issues knowing fully well that no one wants to hire Deaf people; f*** Walmart, my BS Degree is not worth the minimum wage.

I did not respond to the voice message on the answering machine because the local social security office told me their caller ID says US Government. This is not social security.

Sounded pretty good, until your last sentence. Now I wouldn't look into this program for any reason. I SERIOUSLY hope you don't work for this group because I'm fairly certain your customer service skills are lacking greatly.

I got this same automated call that referred to me by name. Then, I was transferred to a human who asked who she was speaking with. I said the recording knew who I was, Don't you? She explained that it was an auto-call and when transferred--any one of the plethora of operators get the call and they don't know who is on the other end.
Now, this lady had all of my info from SSA. She knew I was disabled and why. She still went on with her pitch. I said, "If you know all about me and have my info, then why are you notifying me about this program?" She stated that everyone receiving SSD is eligible.
Well, I'm permanently and totally disabled, thanks to 23 years in the military--so I'll never be able to work again. They know that.

THIS IS NOT A SCAM!! THIS IS A LEGIT PROGRAM!
DID YOU RECEIVE A CALL FROM 1-855-835-0010?

Some of you idiots need to do 5 seconds of research before you scare the hell out of everyone. Also, if on SSD and no interest in getting back to work, you are a lazy piece of s*** who is milking the system. SSD should be temporary unless perminately disabled.

We have all been told that the ONLY way that Social Security contacts you is in the mail. They even made a PSA on TV about the government only mails you information and it does not call, email or text you, so do NOT give out your personal information. I do not trust some automated call system that will not leave a message, but will call me up to 3 times a day. This company should play by the same rules if they are endorsed by Social Security.

Got a call from this number, also said it was the Social Secuirty Ticket to Work. When I said I was not interested for my son (quadriplegic and nonverbal), he wanted to verify his social security and mine - wanted me to give him both! I asked him to send anything in writing, and he said they couldn't. I cannot believe that social security would call you, asking you to give them your social security number over the phone!

The same voice recording was left on my answering system except it put my son's name in place of Elizabeth's name. I think it's a scam. There is a program called Ticket to Work; but, it's not going to give you financial independence if you find a job working at minimum wage.

sounded shady.....they call me and I can barely understand the caller who has a very strong middle eastern accent, he asks me for my name and social security number. hmmmm wait a minute, you called me! don't you know who you called? shouldn't you have my information on file? I refused to give any info and advised him that I would go to my local office for any information on the program. then he asked which state I lived in! wow......again, YOU CALLED ME!
