What ever it is, it is just another calls from supermarket man who try to sell their mom's supermarket products and services. Would you guys believe them? Well at least we do not and we do not like to deal over the phone since you do not know who you are dealing with. So we just let the calls went to our answering machine.

they are a third party telemarker through reliance. Just call reliance and ask them to remove your number from their 3 party list. They should not be giving out your number anyway.

I wish you were right, because I do the same thing but still receive calls from the same number time and time again.

I had a call from 855-851-8511, saying they were Reliance and asking me about my furnace. A rep. was apparently in my area and would talk to me about my options. I cut him off in mid-flow and told him to take my name of their list. Since this rarely happens, I called Reliance directly, and the rep. there admitted that it was a 3rd party telemarketer. I told him I did not like this invasion of my privacy and he said he would put me on a "Do not call" list, which would take about 1 month. I have Cll Block on my phone, so I have added this # to my list. I wonder how many other utilities are selling/giving private customer information?

Well, i'd suggest that you called your mom and make her home comfort and do not call anybody else. You can sell everything that your supermarket has to offer to your mom. We do not need to make deal over the phone to the people that we do not know. You could be a fox wearing sheep skin costume and ready to scam people.

I called back. It is Relaince Home Comfort offering promotion

Please stop calling to offer your services, if I need them, I can call you. I don't want your calls anymore- please stop!

I know for a fact that it is Reliance selling your number to third party telemarketers. Reliance has my number, but is the only company where my number is on the account but under my boyfriend's name. I have got calls from other scammers as well (who have called with my boyfriend's name), and have called them out for Reliance having sold them my contact information. They initially deny it, but Reliance is absolutely selling your contact information to telemarketers. Better Business Bureau should be alerted.

I answered and it was reliance home comfort (the company most people get their water heaters from). He wanted to talk about rebates etc so it was still a sales call. I played dumb.
Chuck 2013-10-05 15:45:05 Unknown
I also received a call this am from Reliance Home Comfort regarding my protection plan. They only asked about the age of my furnace, water heater and how they were working.
I contacted Reliance and there was a note on my account minutes before I called about the questions asked.
This call is legit.

Received calls from this number all the time never answer my phone to numbers I don't no, the machine picks up they hang up, they all do. They are telemarketers correct but if you know anything about telemarketers they are hired by in this case Reliance to make sales calls for them, so even though they aren't reliance they still work for them through whatever company Reliance is paying to make their sales calls so when asked who they are they have to say Reliance, all the banks do the same thing to try to sale you their insurances or what ever else they are pushing at the time. Once again they are not the bank calling you it is a company hired by the bank to make the sales call to you also given your name and number by the bank. Most telemarketers get paid minimum wage hired direct by Reliance they would have to pay them more so unstead of paying out the big dollars they end up with twice the employees for the same amount of money and none of the head aches

Likely a marketing company.....never consider answering these annoying calls.

Another unwanted call from this number. I just let it go to my answering machine and the caller did not leave any message.
The number is noted and will never pick up the phone if this number shows up again on my phone.

The call I got from Reliance Home Comfort was to warn customers about people coming to your door asking questions about your furnace or waterheater. I have had these people come to my door and they can be very aggressive!! So be careful!!

This is a discussion board only and has nothing to do with your phone calls. You will have to handle stopping them.

3rd party means it's NOT Reliance but a telemarketing company. This means that Reliance granted them access to their customers phone numbers for business purposes. The fact that they say they are Reliance to some people is just plain deception right there. And if they are deceiving people like that then they very well could be scammers of a sort! Bad on Reliance to give their customers phone numbers out for any reason. I will be looking elsewhere for my next purchase/services and make sure my info stays private!
Ckreestone 2013-04-27 16:31:46 Unknown
A what salesman?
Ckreestone 2013-04-27 16:31:16 Telemarketer
Questions are, if this is not Reliance but a 3rd party telemarketer, how did they get our phone numbers? Are they just calling Reliance customers or are they random calling all numbers from a public registry? Did Reliance release our phone numbers? Hmmmmm. They've been calling my house everyday and sometimes twice, just got another one now. I can't believe how bad telemarketing has become in the past few years. It can be really disturbing, an invasion of privacy really.
Dirk Diggler 2013-04-16 01:44:36 Unknown
The caller was a Di**o salesman.

I called this number back and they said that I contacted Reliance's head office in Toronto. Very politely I told them that I was already a customer of reliance and that the questions you just asked are the same questions that I was initially asked several years ago. The gentleman told me that it was their marketing department calling me and I told him how annoying these phone calls are and to remove me immediately from the list.

A 3rd party telemarketing firm for Home Reliance. They always call for upsells on their services. I just pickup and hangup immediately.
Mickey 2013-03-20 13:33:51 Unknown
We have been receiving calls almost every day around dinner time. We have two phone lines in the home-different numbers and they both ring at exactly the same time. Did pick up once but no one there on either line. We do not normally answer any number we do not recognize.
We have logged over 400 different "scam" numbers this year. Someone has to put an end to these.
