I too got a check yesterday. They obviously got our information from Wells Fargo some how. We need to contact Wells Fargo as well.

Received a fraudalent letter with a Cashier's check attached from Wells Fargo (not on letterhead).  Stated that they were sorry I cancelled a Plan - did not identify the plan - then giving me a refund.  YEAH RIGHT!!!  How are you refunding something I never paid into.  Really couldn't find anything online until I put in the telephone numbers and landed here.  

Just wondering how they got my information to send me a check as I do have a Wells Fargo Account.

It is a total scam.   Don't call anyone back!   Turn documents over to local post office.  The postal inspector should investigate this because it is clearly mail fraud.   DO NOT CASH ANY CHECK you receive.

Any fraudulent documents you have received by US mail should be turned over to the post office with a request that the Postal Inspector investigate.  This is mail fraud.   If enough people complain they will take action.

Wells Fargo has nothing to do with these checks.

I called Wells Fargo and they cant verify the check - they recommended I bring the check to an actual branch to have it looked it - problem is there are no Wells Fargo banks around me..... even more suspicious now. Still researching.....

I just received a letter with a cashier check as well for Sign & Drive insurance policy. I have never had such a thing. Worried its a scam. Tried the number but they are closed. Try again tomorrow I suppose....

I received a similar check from Wells-Fargo. In my case, the poorly crafted letter stated the check was for a reimbursement of a sign & drive lease cancellation. I have never leased an automobile.

I received a check today, I use to have this insurance, but definitely did not pay them recently. The check looks to be of a pretty poor quality, especially to be bank issued. Also I called the number in the letter & the greeting doesn't identify themselves as being associated to ANY company. It's pretty generic. It has scam written all over it.

I also received a letter with a check and I am not cashing it because I don't have Accidental Death and Disability insurance, according to the letter through Wells Fargo.

I recieved a letter with a check from Wells Fargo whom I have a mortgage through, but my mortgage company states they have not issued me a check.  I am still researching to see if this is a scam or legitimate check.  It references Income Protector Plus which I do not recall purchasing or canceling.
