They call and I can hear them in the background on my answering machine, but they leave no message and like above, they show as Toll-Free on caller ID.  Step up and show who you are and you may get more response....this way of doing business...NOT!

Why can't the phone service provider stop these calls from 855 859-7504? I would never donate or participate in anything they request or offer since I do not want to be disturbed by these unsolicited calls. Can't these people realize they only p****off the person they are calling?

 I got a call from this number, its labor day. I thought they weren't suppose to call on weekends or holidays. I didn't answer it.

Called and woke me up at 1:30 A.M.!!!! Utterly ridiculous!

Answer it!  And tell them you're a poor old veteran and really appreciates what they're doing because you just couldn't make it without Amvets.  Why you go hungry towards the end of the month, but then you were hungry in Korea when you fought for their freedom, so no I can't contribute, but sure do wanna thank you for all you folks do....etc, etc, until they hang up.

Calls everyday. Never leaves a message. If they can't leave a message, it isn't important and I won't' ever answer?so they can knock themselves out?No, REALLY, they can knock themselves out!!!

well if is AmVets ask them how much of their profits actually go to helping Vets. Probably less than 1% if any.
News media should do an expose on these organizations that are actually for profit, making money off of "veterans".

finally answered this and the girl said it was Amvets about pickup in my area.  I have had several calls that I did not answer.

These people call at 8:05 am and as late as 8:57 pm. They need to stop calling!!!!  They don't leave any messages or even talk when you answer, you can hear noise in the back ground.

Same as above.  Will only answer phone if:  I recognize number, recognize name or they leave a message I want to respond to.

Called, again, and hung up. CID shows Toll-Free-. They can call til 'doomsday' and will not hear my voice.

Just got a call from this number, I answered like I usually do....
Me: "Grand Central Station this is Brandon, How may i direct your call?" (bahaha)
Woman on line: "Im sorry, is this a business?"
Me: "Yes it is."
Woman on line: "Im sorry I have the wrong number."

People, don't let it irritate you so much.  If it is AMVETS, they are a charitable organization and are allowed to call whether you're listed on the DNCL or not as it doesn't apply to charities.  I'm just as confused as why people think the Do Not Call List should be a fix all to the problem of telemarketers.  It would be nice but it's obviously not.  I just don't answer my phone.  If there is a message--which there usually isn't--I listen to it later to see if it's really a company I do business with.  I'm afraid it's just the way of the world these days!

I get these annoying calls everyday and I too am on the Do Not Call Registry - which is a joke! The more you answer these calls the more they are going to call. If it's someone important they'll leave a message and you can call them back. Otherwise as long as you answer the more they're going to call. They'll go a week or so without calling from any number then it's like once they figure they hadn't called you in a while their back calling. If EVERYONE did this "maybe" they'd stop calling...? Worth a try?? Lets ban together and STOP ANSWERING THEIR CALLS!i! Have a good day~
