I Would like to inform those of this number that continued harassment via telecommunications can be viewed as immoral and illegal in some circumstances. It is by customer request that you cease calling people who have already denied your services and respect their wishes. If this is not dealt with further actions will be considered.

Just got my 1st call. I bought a domain name yesterday from Registry Dot Com and I just turned my phone on since then. They called me with no one there using the same number everyone else is referencing.

This does suck and I'll take my business elsewhere from now on.

Yeah it's register.com.  I registered a domain with them because they offered domains for 50 cents.  I should have read the fine print.  It ended up costing $13 and I could have got a cheaper deal at Godaddy, and I hate Godaddy.  Now they're phoning me every morning but I haven't picked up because I don't answer 800 numbers.

This company web.com is in Spokane, Wa. I live here so I know. I also have domains registered with network solutions and registrar. Both are owned by web.com. Spoke with them just now. It is a sales call.

Seem to have the same experience as everyone else here. Got a domain with Register.com and this number started showing up.

Just called register.com they said they will put me on the do not call list and it will stop.  I hope so!

855-881-6933 calls twice a day.  And yes, I registered a domain name with Register.com recently.   Was that a mistake?  I thought $5 for the year was cheap.  Did I sign up for them to badger me?  Oh, how long before the domain I signed up for works?  When I type in the domain name it says my domain name is coming to Register.com.

Any help is most appreciated.  Thanks.

This phone number wont stop calling me!

This is what I do with these type of calls as well as this one...I made a contact in my phone named "Solicitor" and in settings for that contact I chose the option to "always send to voicemail." Any time I get a call like this I add the number to my solicitor contact and I don't see or hear the call because it goes straight to voicemail. I have a bunch of numbers in that contact and I NEVER have voicemail from them. Voila, problem solved.
Oh, I am here because I check a whois lookup before I send the number to my solicitor contact, just in case the caller is important.

I don't even have a domain or website and I'm getting calls from this number. What is going on?

same.....registered a domain name at Register.com....then this started coming in.  I never answer 855 numbers or others I don't recognize.....you don't want to leave a message to tell me why you are bothering me?  Then I will never answer.

I have the same and went with one person here. I put in their own phone number so they can market to themselves.

8558816933 has shown up three times this morning on Called ID. I registered with Register.com very recently. I also very clearly opted out of all marketing. They need to stop calling if they want my business in the future.

Same here, registered domain from with register.com and got a call 5 minutes later. As soon as I answered the call the other side hung up.

UPDATE: After threatening to transfer my domains elsewhere (GoDaddy) and tearing them a new one via twitter. The calls have cease all together. DO NOT REGISTER domains here, they will attempt to up-sell you things you don't need. The calls will be 3 - 7 times a day. It took me all but 10 minutes and 15 years experience of registering domains to give them a verbal lashing.

I have also transferred all my clients and personal/business domains back to GoDaddy. They've lost thousands of dollars worth of business. Not going back. Nope. Never.

Like everyone else here. I also registered a domain with Register.com, after switching from GoDaddy. I'm contemplating on switching registrants again if these type of calls persist. Kindly, FRICK OFF!

Started receiving robo-calls within 5 min of registering a domain name with register.com.  I called the Customer service number that kdavs provided:  877.796.8264  Was on hold for 15 min, but got through to a customer service person who claims that he put my phone number AND email on a 'do not contact' list.  So the calls should stop (may take up to 12 hours).

This is an EXTREMELY unprofessional issue.  The default should ALWAYS be opt-out.  If people want these calls, they can opt in.

I just registered a $0.50  domain at register.com and immediately get this call on my office voice mail.

They are one of the worst domain registrar and will keep calling for a month, but they can reach my vm they like.

I have also been getting calls from this number.  now i know it was from register.com as my daughter had just registered a domain name.  grrrrr.

I have not registered with any companies yet for two weeks I have continued to get calls at least twice a day.  Very annoying!!

Called and hanged several times. At least once a day with a caller id of "Private Caller" but our system gets the number anyway.
