Same thing and it was also a ring for sale.

I got a text from this non-sense buyer... he wants to buy my item, but he cannot come over to see it. He wants me to set a paypal account, because that is the only way to pay me; he claims he has no bank account.
 As far as I know, anyone using paypal needs a bank account to linked to it to transfer funds. He also says he does not have reception to make a phone call, but he can text... funny thing, sounds like a scam to me.

He responded to an add I had for sale also and wanted me to set up a Paypal account. Think it's a scam

I have items listed on Craigslist & often get text messages identical to the following:

Good day to you there and I really appreciate your item is still
Available for sale and am agreed with the Condition of it
(2/3)and the
selling price of it...also I want you to consider it sold, pls do
withdraw the advert from CL to avoid disturbance, anyways I
(3/3)don't have
time to come over to take a look because of my work for Company
construction work on the field but you don't need to bother

For now on I will be sending this info too you as I am sick of it. Bad enough with emails I reply to because of items I have for sale on CL & all the junk e-mail because of it...
