NOTICE THE ASTERISK - at bottom of page refers to *Craigslist reposting service now only $10 per call" This indicates if you call you will be charged $10 (probably a way he is protecting himself. The email was signed "JIM" from "Lupe Edris"<fujitasteam@gmail.com>
MY ADVICE:  ANYTIME ANYONE ASKS YOU TO CALL THEM, REFER THEM TO CALL THE NUMBER LISTED ON THE AD....

Yes, On December 12, 2009 I listed an item on Craigs List and shortly after receive a message saying this person, named Don, was interested in my item and to call 856 554 2787.  I was suspicious and replyed by Email asking why this person named Don wanted me to call him.  Never got an Email back.  However this is the header information on the Email I received.

Evidently, it IS a scam.  DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER.

I had the same email from Mark today...

Having a bad day and like a dummy, I called the number.  It had a funny, busy-like tone and I hung up...

I also called and left a message on the 908 number with my home phone! :(

There is a message at the bottome with the "*", stating a $10 charge...

I have the optimum triple play and contacted cablevision.  They said there are no additional charges to this type of phone account and that I would not be charged the $10.  They said it may not have even let the call go through.  Not sure if it really was busy or if it blocked me from calling.  What is the purpose of the 908 number...  Other than someone like me who was foolish and leaves their phone number on it...

I got the same e-mail for an ad I posted on CNJ.
The 908 number is a Google voice number. Please report it to Google voice abuse dept at phishing@google.com, or file a report at http://www.google.com/support/voice/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=42821

Most scammers are using gmail accounts.

They are after your money!!  If you call the number in the email, you will be charged $10.00 by VERIZON.  

VERIZON claims this has nothing to do with them-but it is an outside company.  

DO NOT CALL!

It comes from a different email daily.  I have gotten several of them-every time I post an ad on Craigs List.

If you call the number, you will be charged $10.00 by VERIZON.

DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER!  It is a "classifieds" automated number that gives local rentals in your area as well as any jobs in your area.

It is an automatic $10.00 charge and VERIZON will NOT remove the charge.

It is a company scam!

I did not reposnd or call the numbers.  This scam is getting old but I have yet to figure out what they are after.

Put an ad on craigslist for a property for rent and got this e-mail:

"I saw the ad you placed on Craigslist and want very much to speak to you.

I called the number and it is disconnected.

Obviously a scam but to what end?

He asked anyone who has called this number and has been charge for this call or calls or if you think you called this number and you are going to be charged on your next statement to please call him @ 800-749-5902 Ext 7066 or 856-225-8400 Ext 7066.

I just called this number and got a recording that said the number is not in service and the call cannot be completed as dialed.  did anyone here get the same?  the area codes are south jersey(ocean county).

i just got the same email for a rental property on craigslist.  the numbers they said to call was 8565542787 and 6095542787. has to be fraud
