NEVER   NEVER   NEVER   send any one money. Y would they send you money then ask you to send it back to them??? ALL scammers. Don't be fooled.

I got a similar mail recently and they are still in contact with me.. i did not deposit the check in the bank but luckily i figured out it is a scam before hand..I want them to be tracked down and save the innocents..

1st an SMS requesting more photos, then a request for an email address, then a request for personal info for banking purposes.

Keerthi This is a scam.Iam also a victim of this.I believe we can track this person and then see what we can do.Whats the agent details he has given to send money to.Lets go to cops and log a complaint.

The scamer wants us too send the 'extra' money after deducting the rent to some of their account. The clearing of her check will take 2-3 days, but the bank will deposit give a little part say $100 into your account as soon as you deposit. This makes you to believe that the check is good. Then you deposit the extra amount to their account through western union money transfer. After three days when the bank returns the check as fake you realize that you've been cheated.

And one more thing for folks who might have given their bank account details.
One of my farthest friend (friends' friend's friend) gave her account details. And Neetu Singh got a dummy check on my friends account number and sent it to me (Not sure how she got a dummy check). That is the check I deposited in my account. Eventually money was deducted from her account and got deposited in my account. When it was caught to be a dummy check, she got her money back. And I paid $30 as the check is dummy and bounced back :(
Hmm Long Story

I got this message and she had sent me a check too.
But fortunately, I didn't deposit and I kept on asking her to call me.
But she lost the money she spent on sending the check in priority mail.

Hi All,

Just to let you all know what had happened. Of course I'm safe now.

I was about to transfer the amount back to the account, that Neetu Singh gave me.
And when I googled I found out that she/he is a fraud.

Then, I went to the bank where I deposited the cheque she sent and let them know that "I deposited a cheque which I got from a fraud and what can I do now". Then, the bank people told that it is a dummy cheque and they were to deduct that $3000 from my account next day.

So, Neetu Singh's intension is if some one deposits back the excess amount to her before realizing that she is a fraud or the cheque is bounced back - she gets some cash for free.
I'm not sure about that bank account that she gave - how she would be safe or something.
This is some strange play.

Dont deposit the check, it will be bounced for sure. Please scan and attach a picture of the check here.

Here are few mails I have received, they are exactly same as the ones above. All the mails are coming from Nigeria (Lagos). Even I sent a text message and got a reply too! Looks like its a small team of scammer spending money for internet as well as VOIP service. The number mentioned below is a VOIP number from Haddon Heights, NJ. Please share if anyone shared your address for the check. I guess the scammer will ask you to send a check first or may be as soon as you receive one. If they are serious, they should be ready with fake checks.
