I too was approached by these young men stating that the sales were so that they could gain points a scholarship, and who wouldn't want to help youngsters get ahead right, so i did they got my money and i never received my order, please be careful that this doesn't happen to you, look into it before committing yourself. UNFORTUNATELY

I had two young girls come to my house today. They gave me the same story about college and a contest, scholarship and points. I wrote two checks totaling $80 approximately. I have googled the company because something didn't sit right with me and found this site. I called the number and its a recorded line. Needless to say I called my bank and cancelled both checks, removed all money from that acct and will be closing it.I should have known better. Like most of you, thoughtI was hhelping the two young black girls. Shame. Definitely never again. If they were scoping my house, I got something for the. It will not be liked.

I stand corrected as to your gender; however, the complaints posted online, here and at other sites, may be but a fraction of the total number of people scammed by the company. McDonald's is a far larger corporation. The ratio of scammed-to-happy customers that Millennium and similar door-to-door magazine sales companies generate could well be greater than that of Mickey D.

Whats a shill? i dont run the company, if i did i would do alot different. You just seem like you are going to be negative no matter how much reason or common sense is thrown out there. It really is best for you just not to deal with the program or any door to door program at all. It will save time and energy.

Many (and I do mean many) years ago we had a large bar, with bands. When this one band would show up, they'd talk to the guys & get them going around the bar selling buttons, pins, membership cards (pre-CD era). One buddy of mine finally figured out that they were just being used as free labour. Kids today are pretty savvy, but some scams still work.
Tamianth 2014-01-30 06:36:17 Unknown
But then, that's what you shills do, try spinning the positive notes to carry out the scam. Everyone's the bad guy's but you of course. So if this company is so great, how about posting a real address, business name, website, BBB info up for it..
reality 2014-01-30 05:55:38 Unknown
I am a she. Also, i use the mcdonalds metaphor because it is so simple a child can understand it. Its also common sense. Good and bad is in everything in the phsical world.

If they werent buying these books there wouldnt be a need for a forum, or blog, or whatever about these books that "arent" being bought. And yes im going to say something positive. Complaining and making nasty negative comments def wont solve anything. I
Elspeth 2014-01-30 03:15:19 Unknown
It's *not* a blog. This is an online forum for people to post their experiences with unknown/spam/scam calls. After all the negative reviews, here you come, after the fact, trying to spin a positive review. Too bad no one is buying it (or the "books").

"McDonald's/Walmart defense" - the go-to defense used by shady companies everywhere!
reality last 2014-01-30 02:33:13 Unknown
I have sold these books myself. I did well andsold thousands of dollars worth of books legitmately and consistently. Thats weekly by the way. Unfortunately, the managers are greedy, manipulative, and mistreat the agents. Public humiliation is their favorite. In short i was making some random person that sits down and complains all day rich. Its a lesson learned. Im not defending the managemen . Or the company. Im defending the sales agent that hits the pavement 72 hours a week because circumstances werent ideal in their life.

I do understand that people are upset because they lie about school, but truth is people are only compelled to help with the comfort of the conformity of a college education. That doesnt just apply to books but american life in general. Fairy tales sell fairy tales if you are sharp enough to catch on. The trth of hard work and determination through negative hateful people and the elements doesn't rouse support. The same way nothing good is ever n the news.rere

The check fraud theory is ridiculous on a small or large scale. No door to door person ever wants a check. Not because they are all buying drugs ignoramus. It is because they are giant promissary notes. The money may or may not be there for the books.

And he goes right for the "McDonald's Defense"!
reality 2 2014-01-30 01:42:45 Unknown
As far as people having complaints on this company i have read there have been 120 or so reported complaints in 3 years. Logically and mathematically speaking that does not even avg out to a complaint per week. Mcdonalds makes more errors on orders than millennium, yet you go back. It was the cashier that made the error not the whole company. Point is, There are good and bad employees and companies everywhere.

how odd that you would find this thread that no one has posted to in months when you have not had a bad experience with them

Are you one of their telemarketing bullies? You smoking some happy weed too?
reality pt11 2014-01-30 01:29:19 Unknown
I read all these blogs. They are mostly all speculation and untrue. Ba va, move on. You are not helping anyone. You are satisfying some grudge toward millennium because you sold books poorly. If you are doing so great get over it. All the people calling these salespeople "black kids", that just sounds crazy and racist. "White kids" have crews also. We are all human. Also

I had an odd feeling about these girls coming to my door. They even explained it was just like box tops for schools. They said I would get a follow up call in a couple days and it never happened and I started to get suspicious and should have stopped payment on the check but let time get away with me and forgot and it cleared. I have not received the product, can't reach anyone by phone and the money is gone. Lesson learned, I was trying to help the girls out with their eductaion. FALSE! Millenium Inc, you're fake.
Mitzie 2013-08-07 15:09:35 Unknown
I just tried calling this number and it isn't valid.
helping hand 2013-07-19 11:01:18 Unknown
Interstate subscription services does have a branch called millenium sales and I have a number for a manager of that company. I am 100% sure this number works because the truth is I worked fir them awhile back. And its all a scam. They are incorparated to save money when they are sued so all they have to do is change there company name. Any way do to being a part of the company and them know yo much abiut me and my family I cant tell you who I am i ts to dangerous. But this number should get you started. 1-866-778-0263

Just had a guy come to the house, he pitched the same story to me about college and that he was with Millennium Sales Inc. I decided to buy a children's book for my son who is due in January. I filled out a check and gave it to him. After he left I had a gut feeling to check into this company. I googled the company and found tons of complaints. He had only been gone for about 5 minutes so I grabbed the gun (never know), put it in my back pocket and found him a couple houses down. I told him I wanted my check back, thankfully he was very nice, handed me my check, and I watched him void all of my receipts.
I have a feeling this isn't done, but at least I personally ripped my check into pieces and threw it into my trash can. Hopefully they don't have any way to mess up my credit. Thanks to every one who's posted already, it might have saved me a lot of head ache in the future.
