Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

They called us 4 times two nights ago--11:30 p.m; 1:15 a.m.; 4:15 a.m.; and 5:30 a.m. in addition to several calls during waking hours. I was rude to them and my wife said that that is why they keep calling back. I told them that I can't imagine they would be able to sell anything to someone who they wake up in the middle of the night! But that didn't stop them from trying.

Received a call from someone with a very thick Indian accent claiming he was calling from Windows about my computer (should have at least been smart enough to say Microsoft). He said my computer was "putting errors on the world web and must be fixed immediately". I told him I was not stupid enough to fall for his scam and asked for the company name. He said he was calling from the Scam Department. I asked if he said he was calling from the Scam Department and he replied "yes, and I will F#&@ your computer up if you do not comply". I just said "whatever" and hung up.

Got two calls in a row from these scabs. My phone is blocked by Verizon, but I can only allow 10 legitimate calls to come through. So sick of these terrorists trying to scam us Like I would allow anyone to take control of my computer!!!

The caller asked that I boot up my computer so that they could login to secure it from the IE security breach. There was a lot of noise in the background on the call. The caller had a foreign accent. MS does not call individuals. Microsoft would push an upgrade. Never allow anyone to get access to your systems on a COLD call.

Windows doesnt call individuals to help them disinfect their computer. This is a scam.

Left a message in my answering machine. A lot of noise in the background, Like if she is calling from a very busy calls center, a young female voice says"Hello, Hello"..
| 13 Echo 2014-04-09 19:17:39 Prank Call |
Phishing scam - said they were Microsoft - asked for password - riding on the coat tails of the SSL security hole scare.
Not a prank - A SERIOUS SECURITY RISK - CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR

Person said he was calling from "Microsoft Service Center" alerting me that he had reports indicating my computer was getting malicious downloads.....blah blah blah. He was the second person that called me today about this problem. I think he is a phishing scammer. Told him I was reporting him to the FTC.

Answered and said "Hello" only once. After about 10 seconds of silence I heard and automated voice that said "Goodby" and the dirt ball auto-dialer hung up.
A new number for my block list
