Called me tonight at work claiming I owed golds gym money considering I haven't received these calls in almost 2 years or even sat foot in that gym in like 3 years when I told him it had be handled he started yelling at me to fax him prove i told him I was at work and I didn't have to do that because I know it's been handled he decided to get even more rude and told me I'm just making excuses so I told him I wanted to speak to his manager I told the manger it's been handled do not call me back at work or contact me at all any more I also told him about his rude employee and that if I was contacted again I would be reporting them to the better business bureau that shut him up real fast

Don't have a membership with Gold's Gym, but did have a membership with Anytime Fitness which used ABC Financial as their company to take money from my account.  We moved and weren't supposed to owe anything more than a $50.00 cancellation fee, but they're trying to charge us for the remainder of our account anyway!  They call from several numbers including the 732 area code, AND they also call from one that's 877-375-6992! I've blocked their numbers from being able to call my cell phones, as it is supposedly against the law for them to call a cell phone number period because it costs you money for them to call you.  We don't have a land line because we'd just be forwarding it to our cell phone anyway, so it's kinda stupid to pay for a land line when we're already paying for a cell phone that goes everywhere. So they technically don't have any other legal way to contact me accept by mail.

Hi I got a membership at Youfit and they sent me a postcard saying my account has been sent to collections; this is surprising because I have automatic bank draft with them and i haven't changed my account! Then I am getting these calls...I am surprised they didn't call ME before sending it to collections!!

I've started getting these calls as soon as I found out I've been ripped off by Gold's Gym and quit letting them pull money from my checking account. Anyone else here had dealings with Gold's Gym. This might be a common threat between us all for getting these calls.

I am also having problems with debt collectors from Gold's Gym.  What a racket that place is.  I am trying to get in touch with the corporate office. . they do not have a number listed on the web site.

+8568796033 appeared on my cellphone's caller-ID misformatted with a leading plus, implying 85 is a country code.  No message.  Some website pins it as a landline in Camden, NJ.  I called it from another number and got the usual collection company mantra: "your call is very important to us, please continue to hold..."

Yeah, it probably was abc financial. Those bastards tend to call non-stop when I rightfully cancelled my account. They can bring it.

CALLED THE PLACE I WORK LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO WORKS HERE. CALLING DAILY W/ AN INDIAN ACCENT. VERY IMPOLITE AND THEY LIE WHEN I ASK WHO THEY ARE. I CALLED THEM BACK TO GET THIS NUMBER OFF THE CALLING LIST AND THE MAN WHO ANSWERD JUST SAID OK THANK YOU. HE DIDN'T EVEN ASK WHAT NUMBER I AM CALLING FROM SO I'M SURE THEY WILL JUST CONTINUE TO CALL.

Calls 3 to 5 times a day, all hours, shows on caller id as "Private Name".  Even called at 9am Sunday morning of Memorial Day weekend.  I was where I was suppose to be: at my church, honoring those who have given their lives for the freedoms of this country as well as remembering all who have passed from this life.  
They don't leave any message because they know what they are doing is WRONG!

8568796033 says "private name" on caller I.D. Prob collection agency getting the wrong number as usual. I just ignore the calls.

Keep getting a call from this number, no message, called back and the message didn't sound like a collection place, but, it probably is ABC, Miekos - because I changed a credit card and am behind a payment.

I had a debt to Mieko's but have paid that debt.  I asked this company to send the bill or debt information in writing to my address (which they confirmed).  They were unwilling to comply with that request and asked for the proof of payment to Mieko's.  I refused to give out information that could result in credit card fraud.  Indian accent, belligerent. Left no message.

Called on 5/2/2011 @ 10:49 am EST. Didn't answer but from reading previous posts it may be Gold's Gym as I had a membership YEARS ago. They may also call from 1877 624 7184.

it seams from my experance and what i have read a lot of people that get through when they call back is some guy named jack i think it has something to do with 754-484-3851

This person keeps calling from this number stating that they are a processor and they need to serve me with papers.

They just recently started calling claiming I have a debt from Golds Gym (which I don't; all paid up) but I have not received anything in the mail, etc.  They want payment information over the phone.  Beware!  This must be a scam.

Getting repeated calls 1 to 3 times daily from this number, and have never done business with
either golds gym, or the telecommunications company. Must be either a collections company
or some kind of scam.

This man "Jack" has called me every weekday for about a year from different phone numbers.  I have recently started answering and tried everything to get him to stop calling. "wrong number" and to "stop calling", i tell him to "f*** off", and that "I know he's a fraud and Im going to report him"...and today I told him that I would pay him and asked him for the address.  He said that I owe him $8.50 and he will take my credit card over the phone, i said no I will send you a payment, he argued and then hung up.

There must be some way to make this man STOP!  I dont know who to report him to or how to get him to stop calling...

does anyone know who can stop this man from his illegal, fraudelant, b***s*** phone calls???

Thanks guys for the information. Everyone should learn their rights. Everyone gets in scrapes and especially now. No one shouls put up with rude people or yelling over the phone. Never be ashamed and don't let anyone shame you. This is business it's not personal. If they are not treating you with respect then tell them all their communication needs to be in writing. Most of the time, they will need you to fax a statement to this affect to them.

Speaking of business, everything should be in writing and not talked about over a phone where they say they have documentation but rarely does the individual. So please insist that they not call and that they put it all in writing. If they keep calling you then you have recourse and grounds not to pay plus perhaps to sue them.

There is a good place to get help. It's not those places that consolidate your debts and put the bill collectors first. It's a simple program called Debtors Anonymous. Do a Google search for meetings in your area or look up their website. I think it's www.debtorsanonymous.org. It works. eventually you learn how to take care of yourself first, get out of debt and live an abundant life doing what you enjoy doing. Good luck! John

BTW: WHAT DON'T WE ALL PUT PRESSURE ON GOLD'S GYM TO USE A MORE PROFESSIONAL COMPANY THAT TREATS PEOPLE WITH RESPECT! I SPENT THOUSANDS WITH THEM AND WILL AGAIN WHEN I GET ON MY FEET SO YOU CAN BE SURE I'LL BE CALLING THEM BITCHING UP A STORM. LET THEM KNOW YOU WILL TELL OTHERS ABOUT THEIR USE OF SUCH A COMPANY

Same here, we had our issue with Gold's Gym resolved over 2 years ago, and FCS still calls every day...
When we complain to Gold's Gym/Urban Active, the manager there seems to contact FCS and calls stop for about a month... and then pick up again.
