Guy calls and identifies him self as being form a company I never heard of then tells me he needs to know my birth day, he would not tell me who he was representing.

All he would tell me is that it was a personal financial matter. I asked if he was a vendor or a creditor of mine and still refused to tell me why he wanted my birth day except in order to confirm he had the correct person on the phone.

When I pressed him to tell me what or who it was about he refused any information.

He said he could not discuss it unless I gave him my birthday.  I told him that was his problem and hung up.

Please stop calling me im tired of it

My lawyer told me to send the following letter and they will stop harassing you.  It works!

This letter is being sent to you pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 USC 1692g that the validity of the debt you claim I owe is disputed and verification is requested.

I respectfully request that your offices provide me with competent evidence to verify I have any legal obligation to pay you the exact amount you claim.  

Please provide me with the following:

? Provide a breakdown of all monies allegedly owed, and what the money you say I owe is for;
? Explain and show me how you calculated what you say I owe;
? Provide me with copies of any papers that show that I agreed to pay what you say I owe;
? Provide me with copies of any paper that show that you have the right to collect the alleged debt you say I owe;
? Identify the original creditor.

Pursuant to the FDCPA, you must cease all collection activity until the alleged debt is validated.

Debt collection agency calling for Tamara Daves, informed them I do not know this person, get calls for this person all of the time. Agency said they would remove my number from their list... highly doubt this... they keep calling

This number calls me several times a day which I do not answer. They do not leave a message I goggled the number and SRA Associates shows up. Does anyone know what type of company this is??

Called for someone that doesn't live here, knew the person back in the 90's and told them they have no legal right to contact me. They removed my number from their calling system. Only the phone number of 856-925-1000 showed up when they called. They did not identify themselves.

How about a weekly tv show exposing these creeps... Like "Cheaters", or "To Catch  a Predator"...
I would love to see these  people  put in a small cell...

They leave messages on my answering machine which doesn't help me any, they're the ones with the wrong number. The mesage asks for the person that receives the message to return the calls so they can remove your number if the person they are looking for is not at the number called.

Not at my number and not my problem,.and they are the professionals?.Keep calling, and I will conact on of the attorney's listed to file a harrassment suit.

SRA Associates debt collectors. They call everyday. What a waste of time because I will never pay them anything. Its probably from a debt back 13 years ago from stuff I dont even own anymore. Oh well boo hoo.

I received a call from this number 856-925-1000 on 11/23. They asked for me with the last name that I had 10 years ago before I divorced Tom. They have never called me before & the strange thing about the timing of the call was that Tom had just passed away on 11/11. They left a message for me to call them back at 888-576-1140. Don't think i will after reading all this. They left a voice mail on my daughter's phone for me as well.

received harrasing calls from this number. assuming i was the right person they were looking for.

I do not know who this is, and wish to have the calls stopped immediately

Calls 3 - 4 times a week referring to someone I don't even know.  Robo-call so no one to tell on the other end.  On the do not call national list.  Very frustrating.

They keep calling about someone named Anne Newton and Anne C Newton trying to collect some bad debt.

Debt collector calling a wrong phone number which hasn't been owned by the debtor in 10 years. I guess these dummies can't even be bothered with accurate or up-to-date information when trying to collect debts.

They leave messages on my answering machine which doesn't help me any, they're the ones with the wrong number.

Recieved numerous calls from this number, wanting me to verify information but would not tell me who they were. I asked them repeatedly to stop calling, they continue.

yes, same thing calling and calling looking for a person we knew  many moons ago, why us? why dont they listen when you have no forward number for them?

this company is a joke they lie and say what ever they want to there very rude and nasty they should be sut down

i just got a 2nd call from this number on my WORK phone..they asked for a "Debra" but Im not "Debra" and I have no clue who she is or even if they have the correct number.  Ive been employed at my job now for almos a year, so I'm thinking someone gave them this corporate work number.  This same number showed up in my call log last week and i didnt answer.

Called twice in one day...and never leaves voice message

THESE PEOPLE ARE SECONDARY DEBT COLLECTORS. THE DEBT HAS BEEN WRITTEN OFF BY THE COMPANY; THESE PEOPLE COME IN AND IF THEY COLLECT ANYTHING, THEY GET 30% OF THE COLLECTION. TELL THEM TO STICK IT, OR SUE YOU....LOL.. THEY CAN'T SUE. IT WOULD COST THEM MORE THAN THE DEBT THEY'RE TRYING TO COLLECT:):)

keep receiving calls from that number looking for a Francis Frazier - I have told them on 9 different occassions to stop calling my home.  They continue to do call any hour of the day. I already put my home and cell # on the national DO NOT CALL list, however, they are still calling.

Anything I can do legally?
