one guy had an eastern accent...asked if I called him because it was on his phone.

I am quite sure that it is a boiler room operation from the Newton Police Department.  They call us every day at least once and ask for my husband by his first name.  









we now just don't answer the phone when they call.

He calls here at least once a week and always asks for my husband by his first name.  And yes, I am pretty sure that he is related to some fund raising scam related to the Police or Fire Department.  Too bad - they do not deserve this poor image!

This number is a scam police number that I have donated in the past. Since cops make 3 times the money I make I stop donated. They continue to call this land line. FYI land lines are for this scum of the earth and you should all get rid of them - like the youth has except I am stuck with a old fashion wife who can not connect with the future...

This seems to be a fundraising scam.  He calls every week, asks for my husband by first name or hangs up as soon as he hears my voice.  I recognize his voice - it's always the same guy.  It seems to be a scam related to "police department retirement funds."

The same person keeps calling from this number and hanging up when he hears my voice.  Sometimes (tonight for example) he asked for my husband by name and then hung up when I asked who was calling. i'm sure he is from the "police department fund" and my husband donated to them once.  How can I get them to stop calling?

Some men call me at Sunday and asked me by the name, I say yes it is me, who asking, they he hang up, looks like a scam. Can I report to some officials about these annoying phone calls?

Got the same call from this person I had missd calls from this number when i got home i got a call from this same number when i said hello hello no answer just creepy noises gee

Called my in-laws looking for me.  Have no idea who this is.

A guy called from this number. He knew my name and address. He asked for $500 for Newton Police Department. He said he will come to get the check. What should I do? Call newton police?

I have been getting a crank call from some idiot that has been calling and not answering my calls at all please find out who may be the fool who is calling and hanging up for no reason at all. Thanks everyone and have a very safe holiday season and watch your children and babies too.

I got a call several times today and a few days ago 857-255-3020 they hang on the line then hang up
number comes up on caller ID but no name it only says NEWTONVILLE, MA

got call twice today asking for my wife when i say she is not home he just hang up the phone on me and i try to call the # back it doesn't go through.

This guy calls me a couple times a day and it's the some conversation everytime:
me: "hello"
him: "hello"
me: "Who's this?"
him: hangs up

This is creepy... and to answer one of the other posters, yes near Boston.

This guy called me as well from this number. My boyfriend answered the phone and I was at work. The guy on the phone asked to speak with me by my last name. He didnt ask for me by my first. Then my boyfriend informed him I was not home. And asked if he could take a message. The guy then said he was just making a welfare call. This guy is not a pre recorded phone message. He is very real. Actually its quite creepy. I just want to know if anyone who has already responded to this page lives in or around the Boston area?

Got a call from this number.
He said "Hi, Mrs. Doo di doo?"   (note.. not real name)
Me-- "Uh, no, may I ask who's calling?"
Him-- hung up.

It came up on caller ID as "Newtonville MA"

This is a scam from an organization who claims to be representing police departments. Do not give credit card info, check over the phone or agree to have someone come pick up the check.  Ask them to send written information to your home. Guaranteed it will never arrive. Ask purpose of charity, how much they have raised, how much actually goes to police and how much they put in their greedy lowlife pockets. Ask for proof that they are a non profit organization registered in MA. Get the number from them and try to verify with the AGs office.

Stop calling me.

Has been calling and annoying my 87-year old mother.  Waits until she picks up and then hangs up on her.  She is concerned that this caller has devious motives for the annoyance calls

I keep getting calls from this number. I say hello twice and they hang up.

This guy has called several times over the past couple of weeks.  He asks for my wife.  When I ask who is calling, he hangs up.

I got a very odd call from this number. He asked for me by name. I said yes, that's me--what can I do for you? Then he said:  "It's a hot day, isn't it? I'll call back when it's cooler."

And then he hung up.

I tried calling back immediately but got busy signals.

OMG the same thing is happening to me!!!  Who is it?
