This is Verizon Wireless calling about a missed payment.  It's a courtesy call before they disconnect service.  All you people bitching about the phone calls, pay your bill and you wont get the calls.

Scammers!  These people buy old debts that have been paid and try to "recollect" more money for them.  Do not give them any money!  Does anyone have any suggestions on where to report them?

I received a call from this number stating I have a debt to clear up and there name was Dynamic Solutions. SCAM BEWARE

This number called my NEW number looking for me under my maiden name that I haven't used in over 13 yrs. Also stated the number was given as an emergency contact number. Still don't know who the heck it was.

it was verizon wireless, i canceled my account with them last night and they called me this morning, when i called back it was "Verizon message retrieval center"

You should have demanded a validation letter sent via US Mail it is doubtful an email constitutes legal proof of debt. Collectors are required to provide proof of debt within 5 days of initial contact unless all the proof was included in the initial contact and must include information on your right to dispute the debt and how to do so. You have 30 days to dispute a debt once a legal validation notification has been received.  Go to the FTC website and look for the Consumer's Guide to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act to see what constitutes legal debt validation and what you and they are required to do.

I got their call last week. Couldn't understand the message other than the number to call back. I did (which the number on caller ID was 857-362-8553 and number to call back was 866-637-7739). Anyway, got robot and told to wait for next operator. Man came on and asked how he could help. I said no idea, you called me and I couldn't understand the message. He said we called your number xxx-xxx-xxxx and I confirmed. He then gave me MY full name and last 4 of SS, I confirmed. He then went on to say it for an old Bell South bill. I had no idea who Bell South is/was. Seems it was AT&T. He said it was to the tune of over $2000! and over $500 was interest!! I said no Effing way, I've never done business with either company and it wasn't mine. Back and forth we went and I finally asked what the number was associated to the account was. He put me on hold then a "manager" picked up. I had to go around and around with her too. Told her it wasn't mine and she also asked how I wanted to pay for it. Also they were willing to "settle" for just over $1000. I said that's great, you aren't getting .01 from me until I can prove it's mine. I was then asked for my email address and I gave it to her. She said a letter would be generated as soon as the call was over and it would be emailed to me. I could THEN research and do my due diligence. Still no email as of yet. I have sent this exact detailed story to my local PD in the event something is opened with my info. UGH!

they called and left a message. I called them back and they asked for my phone number. I said I didn't want to give it out and she hung the phone up on me.  I guess it can't be that important.

Got a call from these people yesterday, gave me the last 4 of my social!?!? How they got it, I have no idea.  They claimed it was an attempt to collect a debt for Sprint.  That's pretty good considering I have had Sprint for the last decade ( I have 5 lines with them ), am in good standing, and have been ever since I opened my account, and, after calling Sprint to confirm that fact, I was told I should get in touch with the authorities.  Be careful people....

I received a call from them yesterday saying that they were debt collectors on an acct that I never had. She gave me a website but she never identifyed which company she worked for, and she couldn't verify any information regarding the debt. She said it was from Verizon, but I have never had a verizon acct. I do credit checks all the time. Its 2013 if this was from 2005 than how come I haven't heard of it till now? She hung up on me.

Idiots don't identify themselves or what they are calling for...not illegal to call and bother people, just don't verify any info including who you are.  Likely a pshishing scam, or worse.

I recieved a call from this number today but I never need to worry about calls of this sort. No I'm not trying to sell a Google App but I have "Call Control" on my cell phone, you put these type of numbers on your black list and it will either pickup and hang up or send it straight to voice mail without even having your phone ring. I don't worry bout these calls anymore. They just give up ! and I laugh

They called me and I picked up and they say that I have an outstanding balance that l need to pay, they said they had one of my credit card number that they can use. I had to change my credit card.

this is a scam...called back and no such company

So they called me and told me it was to collect a debt. I don't have a credit line of any sort. They called from different numbers too (including this one). I wish I could've picked up; it would have been an amusing conversation.

I was re-reading this tonight---In answer to your question YES!  I bought a home a little over  yeara ago----what is interesting is that they have my NEW address-----not my old one where I was for ten yers.  Aso, my number is fairly new as well----What is really odd, is that they MIS-SPELLED my first name wrong---I ask you----how do you mis-spell it Ruth?  I  just received  letter from them today-----demanding money-----Oneof the things I did before I bought a home was to ensure thatI was debt free!   SCAMS!

Hi Everyone;  If you call equaflaz credit company the cn put an ALERT  for 90 days on your redit so that these SCUMAG SCAMS don't try take your identity or open "new" credit in your name. etc.  it is 1-800-65-1111.    I got this number after speaking with my bank.  The advised me to call---They in turn notify the other credit companies.  In my case the new the last 4 digits of my social AND that I had received a small inherritance.  But they had my last name wrong.  Anyway, good luck.

Just got the same call.  Didn't even have my correct last name (not quite).  Pains.  How can we stop them.

Received a call from 1-857-362-8553, it was from Dynamic Recovery Solutions, a debt collector, I could not understand the woman's name, not very clear, didn't say who they wanted to talk to, just that it is an important matter on her desk. well, if it's legit, send me something in writing that verifies the debt, not just a bunch of annoying phone calls that will never be answered or returned. they have also called from this number, 1-857-362-8229 and they left a return call number of 1-866-606- 9942. these people are nothing short of ANNOYING.

It is Dynamic Recovery Services calling. They get old debts beyond collection window and try to harass debtors into paying even though it is in direct violation of the FDCPA.

They tell you that they have a lawsuit against you and then try to trick you into paying. DO NOT TRUST THEM.

There has been numerous complaints about them from around the country violating the FDCPA.

I just called to tell them to STOP calling and instead the person put the phone down, there was cheering, and then they hung up.

Very unprofessional. I will be filing a report against them with an attorney.

I also got a call from this number today claiming they were Dynamic Recovery Solutions and  that i need to pay my extremely overdue mastercard bill which i do not have a credit card. They mentioned me by first and last name but had my location completely wrong, She then said she thinks there was a mix up and said I sounded too young to be the person they were looking for and wanted my date of birth to confirm the mix up I immediately got suspicious so I didn't give my date of birth but instead just stated my age, again she asked for my date of birth and I told her I already told you my age so she said it must be a mix up and i wont hear back from them, I think she started to realize i was on to them, but now I'm nervous that they still know too much information since they called me by first and last name, and I stupidly told them my age.

They called both my cell phone and house phone and stated they needed to speak to me about an urgent matter.  I called the number back and it was an electricians company.  I called the other numer they left in the voice mail and they said there was some sort of mistake with the number.  SCAM

I just received a call from this number also.  They said I owed a debt with a charge off date of 1995.  THIS IS A COMPLETE SCAM.  After I was done digging for more information, I advised the gentleman to go pound sand (putting it nicely!)  He laughed at me, then hung up on me.  
I will definitely keep record of this call and number!  If it happens again, The AG will be notified.
