Report these leaches. They prey on the elderly and feeble minded. If they answered a call back it would be appropriate to blast an air horn into the phone!  So much for do not call lists.

Just got two calls this evening fro the number.  Nobody picked up on their end the first time.  It rang again 20 minutes later and some guy with a very thick Indian accent picked up.

He hung up the phone when I requested that I be removed from their calling list.

What a lovely dinner time surprise...

Calling the number back to complain resulted in the infamous "double busy signal," with the "the number you reach cannot be dialed" lady...

As all other reports. I received a number of calls saying my computer was running slow and was about to crash. The caller asked me to follow some steps to assist in solving the problem. When told I thought this was a scam and asked to talk to his supervisor he just kept up with his story not listening to me. He said he was in Boston.  I agree with Dammitall above. I'd even provide the gators.

"Allen" (thick subcontinental accent) from "PC Protect" called to tell me I have a problem with my computer.  I told him not to call again.  He has called every 45 minutes since then, for a total of 5 times so far today.  I have reported to donotcall.gov each of the 5 times and encourage others to do so.

"Allen" from "PC Protect" has called 5 times today, 45 minutes apart.  I answered the first time and asked them not to call again, which generally works with the bogus charities that call, but not with these folks.  Don't bother answering, just block them and report them to donotcall.gov.

Have received 5 calls from these people today. Not very smart, insist it is no scam, gave me the name of PC Protect as well. I am in the IT field so know that this is not legit. Did enjoy messing with them but after 5 calls I'm done, plus it is interrupting me watching basketball.

I just got a call from 857-366-7172, which came up with a caller ID of Cambridge.  The gentleman had a thick indian accent, and claimed that they just got a report from my computer that it has viruses, so he was calling up to assist.  I asked him what company he represents, and he said it was PC Protect Services.  I asked his name, which he said was Steve Jones.  I told him that there isn't any problem with my computer, and he insisted on letting me show him, which he could do remotely.  I told him that I know this is a scam, and that he should remove me from his call list, and he insisted that it wasn't a scam.  I told him I was politely going to hang up.  Ugh.

Report these guys immediately to the FCC if you are on the Do Not Call Registry (go to fcc.gov). If the folks above had, there wouldn't be entries from TWO YEARS AGO. What really concerns me is that it looks like they are targeting seniors; I can't help but wonder if they bought a phone list from AARP.

This number kept calling me.  There is a live person.  I knew that it was the tech scam that was going around.  First time was a man with a heavy Indian accent.  I didn't answer it the next time and they called right back.  I told them to take my number off their list.  They called again.  I have an air horn app on my phone. He just kept talking so I  shared the very loud horn with him.  They waited a few days and kept calling again.  They will get the air horn every time they call.  Maybe eventually they will stop.

Pity there isn't a button on the phone to explode their headset. This is the 4th time they have called wasting my time and previously my cellphone minutes. Probably a scam.

These fools don't give up even though I have called them nasty names, told them I was contacting authorities and the attorney general of my state,. etc. As if I know about them today but tomorrow, I will forget they are low-life scammers.?
The call came in from "Boston", likely another fake location. It would be fine with me if these SOB's died a miserable death by man-eating alligators.

I received a call today from a woman with a heavy Indian accent calling herself Alex Smith from Windows Tech Support.  We were instantly suspicious and did not give out any information.  She did not mention The Tech Care to us.  Looks  like this scam has been going on for a while.

This person, named Alex,  called an elderly friend of mine claiming there was something wrong with her computer. He asked her to log on but she had trouble doing so so the phone call didn't last much longer. I tried calling the number back but got no answer. It sounds like a scam artist, preying on old people....creep.
