Received the call today @ 6:09 pm. Same scam offering the same free water report. I live where I can
get a free water report anytime I want. I 'm listed on both federal and state do not call list.

NO MESSAGE

Same number...it's now identified as the "Air Report."

Same for me on Oct. 16...

The same as above, but I let Mr. FAX take the call.  That ends calls from that number after a couple of try's,
but they just roll over to a new number and try again.

Once again, our government can't stop this, but they can read our e-mails and track us on our computers.  I smell a rat!

Caller I'd says "water report" left message about doing water testing in my area.   So glad I am spending some money on a different call blocker. So much for the do not call list.

The DNC does do its job! People tend to really misunderstand how it works and generally do not understand that the dnc does not protect you from the scams,frauds,extortionists and the unscrupulous nasty's that refuse to obey laws. Charity's and political, along with some survey's are exempt from this.  Most of those will place you on the their internal DNC if asked though and there is a political DNC (it works very well too I might add) list you can sign up with.  

Complaints filed with the DNC and other agency's are used to establish a pattern, then they can take action. They do make busts, they do fine them, and they do make arrests. You also need to realize that some of these bad actors are located in foreign country's and then their government has to work with ours. Slow it may be, but it does happen!

The more complaints filed, the more info they have to go on!

If our politicians really wanted to help out the citizens, they would find a way to put a stop to these annoying phone calls - I think the DNC list is probably a government pacifying scam which is absolutely worthless!

called while I was out. machine only picked up the 2nd half of the message. something about $500 federal rebates are available to home owners to help with my energy bills and also mentioned that my utility company is offering rebates while funds last to help reduce my energy bills as well. if i pressed 1 then i could find out how to get up to $1500.

if this was true, wouldn't my monthly utility bill have this info on it?

Thanks to everyone here who reported what the recording said even though the spiel they gave was probably just a phony hook to get other information. I don't answer these suspicious calls anymore and it's so helpful to everyone that you took the time to warn us it's a scam. It's especially appreciated since our government has evidently chosen not to enforce the Do Not Call law anymore & the scam artists have gotten so wildly out of control.

I am on national do not call list........it does not stop this one.  whoever it is........leave us alone......

When I saw "Water Report" come up on the Caller ID, I hung up after the second ring.  If I don't recognize the area code, they aren't local enough to me for their ideas about my water to have any relevance.

Just received one of these. I must be on some list somewhere because I am getting a ton of pre-recorded calls from various numbers. This one was, like everyone else's, from a "water testing" company.

Just came in and there was an automated voicemail about Water Testing. Caller ID showed "Water Report" and number displayed as 1-857-444-5679. Hard to believe they will come to Atlantic Canada (where we live) to test my water from Boston area.....Must be hard up for business due to being caught as a Scam in U.S.A.  :)

I did not pick up.   Voicemail indicated it was an automated thing telling me to press some number if I was interested in having my water quality tested.  Caller ID was "MA, US".

Yep - we got the call today too.  In Salt Lake City.  Caller ID said water report, stupid recording, unable to disconnect.  NOT going to call them back since it is long distance, and likely a scam.

Didn't answer, but reported the number to FCC, FTC, and the telemarketing number database at PhoneTray.

Recorded female voice offering to test the water in homeowners residences.  My guess is that any fool who chose to get his water tested will be told that it is full of bacteria and the homeowner better buy their product or they will be poisoned.  All municipalities already test the water.  That is what we taxes for.  Caller ID said "Water Report."

I got the same msg. But if they are on the east coast and I'm on the west, that's going to be expensive testing.  CallerID=Water Report.
