Just received a call from 0016309249152.  Individual claimed he was from Windows and has been receiving notifications regarding our computer.  Apparently, someone is trying to hack into our computer.  Individual wanted me to do something, but i refused and said its not my computer.  He insisted on having my husband contact them, since its his computer.  He even knew my husbands name.  I asked for his number and he gave me 8579990945.  He said his name is Adam Maxwell and they are calling from London.  Bull crap!  Both individuals had heavy Indian accents.  Careful on these scams.

I have received 5 phone calls within the last one hour. Each time I get a different person calling. All use the same names, "Allan" "Daren" "Brad" they say they are with Windows technical Support and they are my computer's protection service.
They have been getting errors from my computer for quite some time, and they believe my computer has downloaded malicious software that will crash my computer at any time. The location I was given for their headquarters is Boston.
The phone number...(857}-999-0945.

Got a call from 857-999-0945 in Hawaii @ 2030 hours HST.  Male caller with heavy Indian accent identified himself as Allen Brown.  Allen said he was calling from a company called Personal Computer Protection Service, a service part of Microsoft (yeah right...).  Allen said I had a virus problem with my Windows Operating system.  I asked if he was calling from the United States. He replied Boston, Massachusetts.  I doubted that due to serious signal degradation - call was definitely from foreign location.  I asked Allen for his Social Security #.  Allen gave me 0084AB02 - which he said was his employee number.  I asked for his SS number again and he apparently did not know what that is.  Allen said he was calling from "Tyban"? - and asked if I was familiar with that?  This is a Scam.  I checked the business registration in Boston and no such name is registered.  Others have had calls from people with heavy Indian accents from this fictitious company.  I think the NSA should check these folks out for possible terrorist links from India and hack their comm lines and take a listen.  Come on!  Let's go Signals Intelligence!  At the very least, maybe the NSA could hire them to harass Taliban MS users!  Ha, ha ;). Maybe in all their frustration they would just off themselves...

Rick from Microsoft Support called to say there was a problem with my computer. It was sending messages to Microsoft that were causing problems. He did not know the operating system, IP address or manufacturer but he had a 32 digit "CS" code that would tell me which computer it was. yea right....

My wife received a phone call at 8 am Dec 23 from an individual named "Rosie". There was another person "Rav" who also talked to her. The accents were Indian. They stated they were Windows Support. They had our Windows ID number and registered name. They stated someone "hacked" our computer and instructed my wife to go to a command line and they would "help" her get rid of the programs. She refused and provided no information and cut off further phone discussion but did get their number. Based on the above comments - this is a scam. I just don't know how they could get Windows registration name and ID number.

I received a call from "Michael" with a heavy forign accent, stating that he was from Windows... he said my computer was being infected with viruses and said he was from Microsoft Support, and he could prove it by giving me my license ID, and he could show me how to get these viruses off of my computer... he even went so far as to tell me his last name was Sparron, and his Employee ID with Microsoft was MS/102... he was going to call me back, but never did... I knew it was suspicious and called my son who is a Software engineer... he suggested I Google the phone number and see what people are saying about it, but he thought it was a scam! DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION TO THESE PEOPLE!!! These scammers need to be stopped!
