I got the call Monday evening an Indian or Pakistani with a very strong accent, could hardly understand him
he was very excited and after some time I was led to believe that my computer had a proplem that was causing problems with the main servers?? He needed me to go online where he instructed me to certian key strokes, afterwhich he had control of my computer. In short order a screen appeared that was bleeding with red caution and warning alerts. He then instructed me to right click on one of the warnings but could not delete, that was not an option. he informed me that a tech would need to clear this up and that there would be a $29.99.charge. I told him I would pay with a check, he said they didn't accept checks and needed a credit card so I reluctantly gave him my AMX info after which he informed me that he could not take AMX and needed another card. I told him that I would not give him another card. Then his super informed him they could take the AMX card if I signed up for a $120 mo service agreement, then lowered it to $99. I felt very vunerable with them having control of the computer.After checking online and seeing how many people have been scamed by PCWizards I canceled my credit card and am disputing the charges and will replace my hard drive.This is a foreign based criminal syndicate. With all the complants online about PCWizards what and where is our Attorney General doing but spying on citizens.

Got a very alarming call. The weird thing is he seemed to know my computer is sending me security messages I can not seem to get past. Is it possible these people cause problems?

Just had this same call, same Indian sounding guy saying he was from PC Wizard and something about we having Microsoft on our computer and we have a virus.  Of course! he was so very difficult to understand and I repeatedly asked who/what this is about. (HA).  I was on to him almost immediately, ha.  Told him I didn't know much about computers and their inner workings.  He then asked for the main user of our computer.  I said that was my husband and he was at work. LOL.  So he finally gave up and said he'd call back.  Gotta LOVE that!!! haha.  Then, I went online and found this blog about this same SCAM.
The number on the caller ID was 910-949-3035 and name on caller ID was Auch Joshua.  Don't believe it!

I love your little story. Just upgraded your windows which also work as storm windows and are easy to paint! I wish I could have seen his face! I am on the do not call list and these guys just called me too. Where are they getting our numbers from? I was actually trying to take a nap since I am home sick and really love being disturbed by these idiots!!! So annoying!!!!

A forgien guy calls everyday saying I have a virus with my windows and he can fix it. Sorry to say I just stopped answering the calls and he stopped calling. A crying  shame

No one spoke when I answered.  Only background voices, then they hung up.

I too received a call today and they hung up once I answered. I did say hello three times before they hung up..

Signed up with a giveaway at the Luxor with my new cell # they called with a bogus giveaway and this phone # started to call me a day later, maybe a coincidence but my feeling is that its not..
I answer and no one says anything I call back and get a recording that the phone # is not valid. Its very strange and annoying, if someone does answer there going to get an ear full from me

I told the guy i knew he was calling from Selona beach California, and if he called again, i'd kill him.

Just got a call from an heavily accented man claiming to be calling for Microsoft Windows/PC Wizard.  they tried to get me to go through some steps on my computer, but I kept asking them random questions, and they eventually said they would remove my phone number from their records.  I made him very frustrated, he could not tell me exactly why he was calling me, just that my computer might be downloading malware and that it was just a courtesy call.  I told him if I had problems I would call a tech guy for help, not take help from some random person calling me.  Anyway, this was frustrating, what ever happened to being on the 'do not call list' anyway?

I just got the same call... THANKS for the phone number!  I called them and stated I am on the do not call list, remove me from your data base. I asked for his name; John smith, yeh right and I am pocahontas! LOL

Yeah I got the same call and when I said I have no F*%$ing computer (which is a lie) He hung up on me and I tried to call it back and it says its DISCONNECTED!!! I hope he calls me back...lol

These people should be put away or at least shut down. DO NOT DO AS THEY ASK. In fact' when you get a number you don't recognize, answer the phone "sheriffs dept". They will hang up and most likely take you off they're call list.

I received a message from this lady telling me that my computer is downloading some malicious viruses and stuff onto the hardware so my computer should be running really slow and have a bunch of pop-ups. And I know this isn't true. She told me that she will call back and tell me how to "get rid of the malware". She hung up on me and I'm like "Okay, what is this? Some kind of joke?". So I google their number and found this site. I hope that THEY won't be giving me any bad viruses of steal my personal information because of this. My computer seems to be working just fine!

Got two calls today, both back to back, even after I told the guy to put me on the DO NOT CALL list, and a couple yesterday.

I said the same thing and the dude called back! I ignored him the second time and put my numbers on the National DO NOT CALL list.

Same bullsh**, an indian gent told me my computer was fuul of malware, i sarcastically told him "what you need my bank account info,a few $$ what"  When i told him i wasn't home he asked when i would be home. What the hell is wrong with this world. F'ing people constantly trying to scam someone. Just last week i was sent a fake cashiers check for $2800 by someone trying to buy a $200 item from e off craigslist.

I got several calls in a row from a blocked number and they would hang up and then call right back as soon as it would go to voice mail.  One time in the very middle they forgot to block the number.  He did, however, leave a very lengthy message about there being a complaint against by social security number and that if I failed to call they would sue me in county court and throw me behind the bar!! LOL  He also said that he had the right to call my employer and I would be fired.  Good luck this bozo talked to one of my employers last week and they told him that they were going to call the FBI on him. He got mad and started yelling at my employer.  This guy is a trip and someone needs to find him and stop him.

told me my computer was going to crash.  Told them to take my number off their calling list.  Got another call today.  When I call the number back it won't go through.  Could not even understand the jerk trying to talk.

I received this call moments ago.  Indian guy, very hard to understand.  Continued to tell me my home computer was infected with a virus and was downloading etc. etc.  I asked him which computer and he again stated it was my home computer.  I asked him what he wanted me to do and he said for me to be in front of my computer.  I again asked him which computer and he again stated your HOME computer.  I said..."without a model number of which computer you are referring to, I do not believe this call.  No one has my cell phone number and since you cannot substantiate which computer in my home you are referring to, I believe this is a scam.  GOODBYE!!!"  
Just out of curiosity I googled the number and am proud to say that I was not suckered by this scam and hope you are not either!!!!!

I've gotten this call several times on my cell phone ! I repeatedly ask that my number be removed from their call list, and then get hung up on. Today I fained concern but said I had another call I simply had to take and asked for a call back number. GOT IT ! 888-463-7406.  I called the number from a landline and when they answered I again asked that my cell phone number be removed. They said they would take care of it right away. A few seconds later I got a return call on that landline asking if I had just called. I said yes, I wanted the number removed from their call list. The caller (sounding more American this time) said it couldn't be done and hung up.

Let's all call 888-463-7406 and threaten to report them to the attorney general of each state !

Lady with an indian accent wanted to alert me that on my windows PC that I was downloading malicious software and files from the internet. I told her that my computers were fine. She insisted that they weren't and said I was messing up my hard drive and that it was an internal problem. I am VERY much into computers and I would know more than some bimbo out in California if our computers had malicious software.

Got a call from this number, being a strang enumber didn't answer, and guess what???? No message was left

just got a call from this number, for the 2nd or 3rd time so far this week...as soon as i answered the call disconnected...when i tried calling it back it says  call cannot be completed as dialed. very weird and ANNOYING!!
