Left no message twice

CIC Research is in San Diego and conducts surveys; see Google.  They called me on my private line this afternoon and didn't leave a message; they've called before.  (I never answer calls when I don't recognize the caller ID, or there isn't one.  My unlisted number leaked several years ago, probably from the local sheriff's department when it conducted a fundraiser for its "juvenile prison farm."  Since then I've been called by Arbitron -- twice or three times a day for a solid month in early 2010! -- and several research companies other than CIC.)  BTW after four years a phone number is very likely to have been reissued.  In fact, an abandoned number is usually reissued within several weeks.  There's probably no spoofing involved.

It's a call to do a survey for the Washington state fish and wildlife.

Problem with talking to marketing firms is once you pick up they now have a product to sell. Your phone number confirmed active. When they tell you they don't sell your number please contact me I have bridges for sell half price.

I work for CIC Research, we do these surveys on behalf of the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, I don't know if I can get in trouble for disclosing this, but we just do surveys. We're not permitted to leave messages for the sake of not spamming voicemails, we have to get the OK from DFW to do so. We are located in San Diego, and also do work for California Department of Fish and Game. I don't know how we got the contract but we have been doing the survey for years. I don't know much about anything as i'm pretty low on the poll, but really, we're not selling anything, just doing very quick surveys. If you pick up and ask us not to call you again, we'll happily oblige, we're usually pretty laid back people.

Got call (I'm in WA) 03/15/2012 @ 6:08PM. I didn't answer, they left no message. Why doesn't the State of Washington does not need to adhere to the Do Not Call registry.

I too kept getting a call from this number so I finally answered it. I asked the interviewer 101 questions and here's the info I got..they are a marketing research company contracted by the dept. of fish and game. They got your name and number when you purchased a fishing license. Its just a survey

This # is for CIC Research, a market research company in San Diego.  They are contracted by the Washington Dept. of Fish and Wildlife to conduct telephone surveys about fishing in Washington.  The man I spoke with was very friendly and the survey was pretty quick.  They didn't ask anything too personal.  And they didn't try to sell me anything.

This number used to be mine but was canceled four years ago.  Someone is spoofing it.

Survey company called me, I told not to call

This number keeps calling and leaves no message.  It's really annoying!

Just got a call from this number. Iam in wa. and did not answer. no message was left.

This number is just the Fish and Wildlife calling because you received a salmon and/or crab catch record card and did not send it in.  It's a pity they haven't updated the caller ID or leave a brief message on this, as most people don't answer unknown numbers.

Keep getting a call from this number.  Caller ID says Cademy Bill.  Number is out of San Diego but unpublished.

It's from the WA Dept of Fish and Wildlife. They want you to take a survey about fishing, even if you don't fish. You can call them back -- if you get their voicemail, there is an option to opt-out of the survey.

I got two calls in the last couple days too, both times with silent messages. I received these calls on my WA land line.

Just got a call but didn't answer it. Also from Washington. I'm assuming if they said it was for fish and wildlife that they are calling people who applied for a fishing lic at some point. I did in April so it would kinda make sense...

Didn't pick it up and they didn't leave a message. C I C Research is what the caller ID says.

Received this call today while I was out. My Caller ID read C I C Research so ownership info has been updated, finally. I'm in Washington State.

Answered this call yesterday; it was a person from the Fish and Wildlife division asking if I had fished or caught crab in Jan or Feb of 2010.  I asked why no message was left and why call was ID'd as Bill Cademy; the response was that our "local service providers" had not updated the identification of the caller ID ... and that she could only be allowed to leave a message if her supervisors OK'd it.  And that I was obviously really crabby!

No messages are left, but many, many phone calls identified as Bill Cademy over weeks.

Yea, I am getting calls now, I live in WA state. Ihave had two today already, no message, nothing. I didn't answer it. Will report this...I started a trace.

We get calls from this number, no one there, never leaves a message on the machine.  We live in WA.

BTW, I just called this number, and they claim to be doing a survey for fishing in Washington State -- interesting as it is a San Diego area code.  But it is not me.
