Got the same message last night, they have to be getting our names and numbers from facebook. I have a profile on facebook with a weird name on it (not my real name) and that is what the person called me last night so it has to be linked in someway! just thought you all should know this!!

Sorry a little late on this, but I just recieved the same message last night and wanted to let everyone know that they are getting your name and number from facebook. I have an account with facebook that has a different name on it (not my real name) and that is what the person called me last night so it HAS to be from facebook!! Just thought I would let ya'll know...

Yup. Message of "hi <name>" sent Nov 18, 2012 at 6:09 pm Pacific time. To what purpose?

I got this same text yesterday, said "Hello Joanne???"  No idea who it is but the area code is California.

It's one of those that says 'Hi' or 'Hey' and then your name. Somebody's got my number. >_>

Now, customers of AT&T Mobility, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint and others can forward their text spam message to 7726. The mobile phone carrier will ask customers for the phone number that?s linked to the spam message so they and Cloudmark can start investigating.

I got the same text a few hours ago

I got a text saying "hi" and my first name. I asked who it was and no reply.

I just got the same message:
"hi megan!!".
I replied with "hey...who is this?"
Should I not have replied?? How are strangers getting our names and numbers??

What the heck, I just got a text from this number.

Got the exact same message today at 3:31pm. Asked who it is and have not gotten a reply. Kind of eerie that wre all being called by our first names. Any connection between us? Weird.

Recieved a text  message that said "Hola Samantha". I asked whom I was speaking too and they said "Haha if you want to know who this is u got to addd me on Y!msger, my id is txtchick98".
