they call and when the machine picks up they hang up
have gotten this same call on land line and cell
research says the number comes from San Diego California

I got a call last night from this number. The recording said "We're sorry we reached your number in error. Please call xxx-xxx-xxxx to have your number removed from our database. Yeah, right - they just wanted to COLLECT my number!

Still getting this caller and they still hang up without leaving a message.
A legitimate bank would let you know which bank was calling, which agent and what they were calling about.

They call - I let the answering machine pick up- and they hang up-- obvious spam call- any legitimate caller would leave a message... so don't answer it.
I get at least one spam call a day from various numbers.

Heard a recording saying that my credit union's transfer authority had expired and I need to call the number back.
