My experience with Phone People has been good. There is one thing about their system I find a little difficult at times, but the customer service with the company is exceptional for an online company. Also, I only used one credit card. Everything else seemed normal. Furthermore, they were proactive about informing me about specifics in their system to ensure a good experience. These were things that I not realize and might prove to be a nuisance for me if I didn't adjust accordingly.

Any proof?  Don't attack someone's clear honest post unless you have proof that they're lying.  Otherwise, it just makes you look like a fool.

I also have used PhonePeople for a number of years.  They supply our 1-877 number.  What they said (in the above post) is true.  They are not responsible for the spam calls that you get.  The caller ID number is  a proxy server that is shared by a lot of people.

Neither your website or the contact number work without being a customer or having an extension #. This is only customer service for you, not the public who is harassed by multiple phone calls throughout the day.

Please cease calling my phone: 503-954-1588. If the calls continue I will be forced to contact my State Atty General.

I'm going to agree with your statements the most on this.

I've never had any problems with phone people outside the strange call every now and again. I've received strange calls like that way before I ever used phonepeople (on my verizon landline). As a child, I was on the dialing end of a few similar calls. Its just the world we live in.

Read the contract your signing, know what your paying for, know what you will get and what you won't. Then make an informed decision like an adult instead of just signing away and they complaining when you get exactly what you purchased.

The ones responsible are called Coldwell Solutions. They scam people out of their money than will sell your information to God know who. They will than foward your number to this non-working number. So chances are these are the thousands of people they have scammed who are trying to reach them. I know cause I'm starting to get the same calls now. Hopefully this will help you & good luck. I got a call from this number and asnwered the call. The guy on the other end spoke to me about some sporting goods. I also gave him my contact email.
Is there any scam in this number or is it anybody who has to call for marketing purposes.

I got a call from this number on Nov 5 at about 8:30 am.  I was on the phone at the time so I called the number back after I finished my call.  I was told by an electronic voice that I had reached a non working number of PhonePeople.com

This phone number appears whenever calls are transferred to my phone from my toll free number at phonepeople.com.  It's a number owned by phonepeople.com and isn't (or shouldn't be) associated with any scams.

Mr D.  Your ignorance has an old cheese type smell to it.  Just because your new does not mean they have to accept all liability for your stupidity.  Their website is very clear as to what they charge and what is included in each service plan.  You would have been better off spending an extra $20 and you could have had up to 25 extensions plus more included minutes.   I could just imagine what your monthly calls to your cell phone company are like.  Also you might want to type without all caps as you look like a fool in doing so.  So articulate with words and not caps you dumb a**.  Cheers.  Dan

I have used Phone People for several years without the first problem. No I don't work for them. I pay them about $50.00 per month for the service and have no complaints.

My wife and I are ministers and pastor 2 churches in the Canadian Arctic. We are not connected to Phone People in any way, but a consumer. We own 2 flower shops also.
We listed with Phone People yesterday. My wife wanted to change the number to something different. I
called and talked to support. It seemed they could not verify that that number was available. So we stayed with the original number. 2 hours later, they called me and said they found the number and I could still change it if I wanted. So I did. THAT WAS GREAT SERVICE.
Working out the details, cause every company is different, too abit of time, but the support department was VERY patient and helpful.
I can understand the 2nd credit card number when you are dealing with people all over the world. They need to get paid too! If you card is not good, it creates alot of expense on their end and hassle on yours when it's disconnected. THEY DO NOT REQUIRE A SECOND CARD, ONLY RECOMMEND FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE!
It is important to read the statements. Like the $.94 admin chg each month. I called and it was clarified easily. Why is it that everyone expects alot of EXTRAS without extra cost. There is almost no place you can go to get Extra without extra cost. Even extra bread in a restaurant COSTS.
I have gotten alost of those gabbled phone calls at 2 am. They are annoying but that`s the world we live in. We used to get (and still do get) alot of tele-marketing calls on our regular phone. but that`s life.

I Have been trying to cancel with them and take my toll free number with me for over a month and they are refusing to let me cancel because they have a hold of my Business phone number. They rejected y request so that they can keep dragging me along and keep charging my credit card! This is absurd I am now paying for my new service and for this one. Also every time I call in I have to call in as a new customer or else they will just leave me on hold and after holding for 5 minutes it just hangs up. There's no wonder why they are already F rated on here. I wish I would have done my research before choosing them as my carrier. No one can even help me when I do get on the line. Apparently you have to talk to a supervisor to get any information at all. and there's never one there!!! Wow, I am so upset I CANT WAIT TO NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. They have me by the balls because I need my toll free number for my business. This isn't fair at all. PHONE PEOPLE SUCK!!!!!! BUYER BEWARE

my company uses phone people services, and we don't have a problem. the service allows us to advertise an 800 #, which goes to phone people, and is relayed to whatever phone number we use for local calls. so customers calling from out of the area don't have to pay long distance charges to reach us. it also allows us to have calls forwarded to different phones, without changing our advertising- which is important because as a growing company we have moved 4 times in the past 2 years(3 different cities, 2 different area codes). and while we were having construction done and our landlines were out, we were able to have calls forwarded to our cell phones without it ever affecting how the customers got in touch with us.
what people who are apparently mistakenly receiving calls from this number don't understand, is that none of the people calling you are actually calling from that number. it is relayed. if you don't have a phone people account you shouldn't be getting calls from that number.
I can't say anything positive or negative about the customer service, as I've only dealt with the relayed calls. but we've been using them for 3 years and I've never heard the boss complain. and he would.

I got a call from this number, said hello a couple times and there was no answer.  They just hung up a few seconds later.

I got a call from this number at 3am in the morning, I said hello, heard breathing, then he said hello and said Chicago, yes? I said yes, and asked why he is calling me at 3 in the morning and he said. "YOU ARE NOT IN BUSINESS, GET OUT!"

what the hell, what wierdos, some Indian guy prankin or something, no idea, if anyone has more info, I would like to know - I have actually gotten some other strange calls like this before from these guys on a different line and they just talk to you and get mean, strange, must have domestic problems.

PHONEPEOPLE.COM STINKS, STAY AWAY FROM THESE JOKERS!!! THEY ADVERTISE SERVICES FOR 9.98 AND SURELLY AT THE END OF THE MONTH BILLS WAS ABOUT 100. THEY TOLD ME I HAD ADDED ALL THESE EXTRA FEATURES AND I HAD 13 EXTENSIONS NOT 3. I NEVER NEW I WAS BEING CHARGED FOR THIS STUFF AND THEY TOLD ME I SHOULD HAVE LOOKED AT MY PLAN IT CLEARLY TELLS ME WHATS INCLUDED. Some of you people seem to be a little hard headed. I've used them for several months now on two different numbers for incoming calls, have changed plans during peak season with no questions asked, and changed back when it was over with no problems.  I got detailed information on having my own professional messages recorded outside of their service when I requested it.  So far, not ONE problem.  I've followed their instructions, and have read all the fine print - and there haven't been any surprises yet.  That seems to be the problem in most cases - PEOPLE READ WHAT THEY WANT...

Yelling at the person calling doesn't do a thing!  They were calling from 213-622-9740.  I made the mistake of answering a couple of times and then hanging up when there was no one on the line.  Voicemail from them says nothing.  When I finally picked up I asked politely to not call me.  That didn't stop him. He continued to call back and I hit ignore. Nothing doing! So I picked up and YELLED at him to stop calling.  He has picked up our phone number from our web site.  I refused to answer him becuase I could hardly understand what he wants. Between his accent and bad connection I can't get what he wants even if he's not selling anything.  Right!  Why would he persist.  So then he calls me from 858-569-9800 thinking I don't know what he's doing. I yelled at him again and hung up. The twerp calls back more times!  I now have BOTH numbers programmed into my phone "Do not answer" with a specific ring tone so that I don't pick up on my head set.  Geez!

I agree with the "fishy" comment. I have phonepeople right now 'hosting' my 800 number. I like their service, they seem to have good uptime and all that... but try to get something changed with them, and you have to talk to the box, type in the box, leave a message in the box.

I was having a problem a few months ago, and I got so frustrated with their customer service I nearly closed my account.
