I got a call in England from Stella today who said she was from Microsoft Support (even though it sounded like she was ringing from a call centre in India).  Stella said she could tell our computer was about to crash and that it was urgent that I get on to our computer so that she could help me solve the crisis.  I said I didn't have access to my husband's computer and asked how he could call her back. She said he could try calling her back on her extension - 442032394191  [the same number another poster on this website has reported.]  However, she explained that line was always busy.  I tried it after we hung up, but it's not busy -- it just doesn't work.  I tried 1471 to see what the caller's phone number actually was, but -- believe it or not, the caller had blocked the number from being identified!  She did promise to call back on Monday even though I said she shouldn't bother.

Thank goodness the shill posts are either very short or in totally pathetic English, making them obvious and proving even further that this is a scam. They must be really desperate to keep making their fake posts.

Telemarketer
pcsupportcenter.net

Called me just now and said I had a virus on my computer that my ISP has told them to call. They wanted to prove it with by showing my a .sys file on my pc that is infected I think it might of been svhost.sys but couldn't hear it much. When I said I run a Linux system he still insisted its infected and he could show me. I asked where he got my information from he said from my ISP but when I asked which ISP or even IP he responded that he could not disclose that information.

His name was Brian and I doubt it, +442032394191

Unsoliceted call pcsupportcenter.net - report from internet router that my pc was corrupting - they wanted remote access - asked them what they proposed to do -passed to another handler - conversation interspersed with microsoft certified - who said my anti vrus was not any good - and eventually said that some payment would be required.

Today I spent 2.5hrs on the phone with 2 different gentlemen from an Indian call centre, them pretending to be microsoft windows engineers, who very kindly rang me to tell me that i have severe problems with my pc's... 2.5 hrs of me , "ohh I'm not very good at this", "is that double U or W?" Got the first guy so rattled that he said "Jesus Christ" and gave me to another call handler.. He said they were in Bushy Head, so I talked about how much snow they had.. Asked me to download a remote viewing program (I didn't), I needed my glasses, the postman came, I made lunch and ate it while I was "waiting" for the program to download.. I'm a grandma and I reminded the guy called "Shaun" yeah right, of his 74 yr old grandmother.. all so I could click on a website and pay £35 for a years support for my laptops.. at one point I had tears running down my face with laughter.. I put the phone down after the 90 mins and THEY RANG BACK, desperate or what?

I got a call from this number on October 13, a guy with an Indian accent and a choppy connection.  He told me that his company received an error report from my PC about a virus in my Windows driver files.  He instructed me to go to pcsupportcenter.net (which I did not) and to download an application to remove the virus.  I suspect this is marketing & the company is making cold calls from the phone book.

Someone, maybe with an Indian accent, calls and says they are with Microsoft and are calling because they got an error report sent from my PC. A couple flags go up here 1) my PC will not send out my phone number, 2) their English is worse than the people Microsoft outsources American jobs to, and 3) Microsoft does not care enough about problems with their software to follow up on it, 4) also there was a lot of background noise.
