Its not citibank. Many fraudulent "Companies"  call to get info from citi card or account holders. citi would not give a call without leaving a message UNLESS an account is past due, then they may not. but nine times out of ten they do. Do not give any account or personally identifying info without first verifying who your speaking with. Citi does not harass. And here is some good info to have. If you dont want to get calls from collectors or from telemarketers. register on the national do not call registry. at donotcall.gov

THIS IS NOT CITIBANK!!! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT OR SSN INFORMATION!!

I don't know what to say about the reports above but I've received 3 calls from this number this weekend. When I called the number on my CITI card to ask what this was about, they transfered me to their fraud unit immediately and had to freeze both my accounts. All they would tell me is 1) this is not an authorized CITI caller 2) there is an ongoing fraud investigation.

I know that when you call this number back, it sounds just like the CITI prompts. Crazy.  But trust me, if you've given these folks any of your personal information, please call the number on the back of your CITI card immediately and let them know.

Keep account open until payed off. If you close it with a balance on it your debt to available credit ratio looks worse and your credit score goes down.

According to you guys that post here, it's citi cards or citi bank.  My caller id shows that the calls come in two to four times per day from florence, kentucky.  I have a call filter and router, so it goes automatically to a auxiliary line. So, they can call as many times as they need to.

You can write a cease & desist letter.  Then they'll have to stop calling you!  They can, however, turn it over to a collection agency.  Then, you'll have to write a cease & desist letter to them.  Many of them are very creative!

Your best bet is to look on the internet for unwanted call filters.  These can come in the form of a device you connect to your phone or software a perhaps a combo of both.  Point is, you can enjoy several options to accomplish the task.  Helps a little more if you're a software pro as well.  That way, you can design in additional features.

Unfortunately, if you filter out 800 numbers, that means ALL 800 numbers calling into you will be blocked.  If you filter out 80? numbers, ALL 80 and 0 through 9 numbers will be blocked.  You can do the same for 866 and 888 numbers as well.

These aids are not perfect but they do provide a little help.  I know some people are impervious to these troublesome calls and can simply ignore them forever, however, many people don't have that ability.

My AT&T Universal went over to CITI several years ago, I have this card for 18 years, never missed a payment. I'm self employed so we relay on my wife's to pay check to bills that need to payed, if where caught short. My wife's company allows there book keeper to live in Texas, where in the NY-metro area, she mails the checks via Fed-ax so the snow storms delayed the package. company dose not use direct deposite. I normally make mail payment to Columbus Ohio on the 1st, for the 10th due date. I had to make the payment at a local Citi branch, which I did on the 11th since every Citi location was shut down, I didn't have the funds in my checking account on the 9th.

Blind robo calls started 3 days latter from Missouri, more than 5 a day leaving no message no number, if I picked up, there was a hang up, finnaly after week of this, I got an automated message from CITI Bank. I call them at least 8 times in one day, busy signal. I finally called Universal Card directly, they did get the payment on the 11th and a late fee wasn't applied, because of the snow storm and Citi locations where closed in my area. The agent was very helpful and send me on to Missouri to get the robo calls stopped. The second agent also very nice told me it's was a automated system and she couldn't stop them, apologized for annoyance and told me to ignore calls. The calls abated for several days and are now back, only now it's this Kentucky number, once again no message, on one occasion a real person said a "hello, hello" on another back ground noise, when someone dosen't leave a message I assume it's a tele-marketer, now I know it's Citi again and I've already contacted them spoke to several people and the nonsense continues. I never had issues like this when ATT Universal managed the account, these banks are getting out of controll. Citi's a bailout bank, judging how there account services run it's not hard understand why.

I did, I drove out in the middle of d#m snow storm to make it, get off your high horse. The bank told me there automated system dosen't work very well, an understatement and to ignore the calls, this bank has issues they can't seem to address.

Yes, it is Citicards, calling from Florence Kentucky. What you need to do is fax a letter called a cease and desist letter- asking them to stop making any and all collections calls to your phone number. You sign it and can fax it to 605-357-2009. These guys have the most persistent "harassment department" in the industry! One fax makes it all stop.

Apparently someone that used to have my number owes someone money because I get calls from about 10 of these a day and they all say that they will take my number off the list but never do. If these guys are calling on your cell phone (as they are on mine), store the number and default their ringtone as "none". I have a bunch of them saved on my cell and their ringtone as "none" so they can call all they want to and I never hear it. Works great for me.

Citibank is the worse bank out there...They take it upon themselves to close your account even when you're current. Then, on their web page, if your account is closed, they won't allow you to send emails to their customer service representative. I have been lied to by their reps, managers, etc. They totally suck and that includes any citicards and home depot cards..Consumers, let's ban together and tell Citibank to go scratch!

It's Citi...I have two cards with them.  Due to issues with other cardmembers, they cut my limit to $200 above my balance and I've never been late, ever.  They said they are trying to lower their risk.

I kept receiving several calls a day from this number. They tried to reach a different person and I told them that I am not the person they wanted and that they had the wrong number. Still they kept calling. Really annoying! When I asked them who they were they claimed to be from Citi Cards. They stopped only after I told them I would sue them for harassment and asked the person on the phone if she personally enjoyed harassing people.

I called Citi Cards to ask if this is their number. They told me that they usually call from 1-800 or 888-numbers so this 859-number would probably be a scam.

Whoever it is, this harassment should be stopped.
