Yes, they are giving firefighters a bad name.  I am on a do not call registry too.  This one said Out of Area 1602 or some number.  I answered it after they called several times and hung up.  I told them to remove me from their list and hung up, but somehow I think they will still be harrassing me.  Why isn't AT&T or the phone company doing something about these scumbags?

Wow, and I used to give.  They would call me and use my first name and act like we were friends......Never again!

I understand that being on the no calls list, does not include charities.

these call have started coming for the past few day.  I'm registered on a do not call list.  He said he was the the firefighters organization and wanted me to make a donation.  I live in Ashland, ky and he was calling from lexington, ky.

They have called me off and on for years.  Now they call and don't leave a message.  I just don't answer because I screen ALL of my calls.  It's funny how these paid callers ask for money.  Why can't the "organization"  just quit paying the rude, pushy, nasty "volunteers" amd keep the money to send out literature instead?

I am a firefighter in Ky and have been bugged by these people for the last 5 years. It is nothing but a big scam. Do not even have a conversation with them just hang up. Damn shame they make us look like a bunch of thieves.

Many years ago they called, and my spouse, in good faith made a small donation. We  decided to check with the BBB and they turned out to have a bad history with BBB so we stopped the donations to them. This group has called us relentlessly for years despite numerous requests to have our number pulled from their solicitation list.
We also are on a do-not-call registry but apparently they claim to be a "charitable organization". They are apparently charitable first and mostly to themselves and then give a portion of the take away just for appearances. The local firefighters in our fire district are ashamed of their tactics and told me that they were "questionable".

Hmm.  Many of you say it's the Ky Professional "Firefighters"?? They have been calling me all day for the last several days. They call first under "out of area" and let it ring a few times, then a few seconds later they call back under 859-402-1116 and let it ring off the hook. If it is KPF, this is now the 4th or 5th number they have called under. I have no idea why NO ONE in our state government has done anything about these people. (and yes, they are always extremely rude and sneaky and according to what I've read online,  they only give 23% to the charity)

This number shows up several times a week, we are on the list of not wanted calls. They leave no message. We want it stopped also.

Same thing called said he was a firefighter.   Sounds fishy

The caller said he represented Ky Professional Firefighters and they were asking for donations on behalf of Special Olympics. Told him we were cautious about who we donated to and asked him to send material to look at. He would not take no for an answer and I finally had to hang up on him.

He said he was a firefighter and wanted a donation. I am on unwanted call registry so not sure how he is getting through. He is rude.

Got two calls from this number. One yesterday that I didn't answer; they didn't leave a message. Second one, just now, I answered and they hung up.

Looked up NPA-NXX, and it shows that carrier is Adelphia Business Solutions of Kentucky in Lexington.
