SIRS again. I've blocked their #'s so many times I couldn't tell you. I didn't answer and they left no message. Guess they have a new batch of #'s to harass us from. Called from Covington, KY.

Finally have some numbers for you to call and complain. My girlfriend did some digging and gave me several numbers. I am posting those for the two directly involved:  Earl [home phone removed] and Liz [home phone removed].

There are only two types of phone calls that are allowed to be made: Political and charitable..."research" does not fall under either category. I will be reporting this number to the FTC and FCC. It's a simple process and they do follow up.

Called this evening at 6:00 PM. I had previously asked to be removed from their call list. I have filed a complaint with the FTC and the BBB.

It is a Federal Registry set up and maintained by the FTC.  The purpose of the Registry is to maintain a list of Registered People who do not wish to receive telemarketing phone calls.  Anyone can go to the Do Not Call web site and Register.  It's important to understand that this is nothing more than a List.   It has no mechanical call blocking capabilities nor does it provide complete immunity against all callers.  There are exemptions who are allowed to Call that includes non-profit,  surveys,  political,  charitable,  and a host of others that most consider nothing but loopholes in the system.   Those companies that Telemarket are required by law to purchase the list at regular intervals in order to stay current with any new additions to the list.  They are responsible for their actions in NOT calling those on the list and can be fined if they violate the laws of the FTC Registry.   It has it's good and bad points.   It is ineffective against Scammers, or anyone else who chooses to call and have the capability to hide their identity and location.  It is effective in that most legitimate businesses do in fact honor this list.  There are millions of businesses who do not call people in honor of this list.  The system is based upon the honor system and the threat of very hefty fines for those who violate it.  Legitimate businesses who violate it can be easily found and fined by the FTC because of their Permanent business location and all of the Anchoring requirements of operating a permanent business.  The scammers and Spoofers can dodge the bullet until eventually cornered.
The system is like a  "Stop"  or "No Trespassing"   sign.   Only the honest will obey....

received the call this afternoon on my cell phone.  won't ans. numbers I don't recognize.  since it was the cell phone there was no caller id to check.   can't block it either.

i went to their website and called one of their vp's , got the answering machine and asked if they ever heard of the do not call list. i think everyone should do that and overload their system

I had a call from these people. After carefully questioning the young man, I discovered the company's website is SIRSINC.com. Also, they are doing research for grocery stores on the east coast. He wouldn't tell me more than that. I have a friend  who works for a private detective. I will be getting some answers. I promise to post more. The website list Earl Hayes and Elizabeth Hurt in charge of the phone center. Also, Chief of Operations is Shannon Natale. The Vice President is Gary Heuser, President of SIRS is Bill Welch and the CEO is Chris Ohlinger.

Scum doesn't honor the do not call registry. Calls all the time, usually hangs up on answer. Refuses to take number off list.

I like the way you ask "please be polite" and also state "the do not call list does not apply to us". In other words, you RUDE and ARROGANT people are going to call me WHEN YOU KNOW that I do not want to be called.

You then have the UNMIGITATED FOOLISHNESS to ask that we pick up and "tell us you do not want to take the survey".

WHAT the Hades? WHY do you think we're on the Do Not Call List to begin with. I will NEVER pick up - EVER. I'm happy to WASTE your time. Obviously. you're not concerned about my time wasted rushing to answer an unwanted call.

BTW, Robo calls are illegal REGARDLESS of the nature of the caller's intentions, so I am happy to report you to the Do Not Call Database for this. YES, you use a robo caller. Don't try to deny it.

Last, I'd like to say that you DO NOT have a life or a job because you offer NOTHING to the good citizens you annoy with these unwanted calls.

This number and three others (859-331-9707, 859-547-1704, and 859-781-9700) belong to SIRS/Strum. They are robo-called. The only way to stop them is to put a block on the specific number (s) calling.

Star 69 revealed that this caller (they hung up on my Lansdale, PA area answering machine) was 859-547-1101.  They left no message. They are one of dozens of pest callers per month at my residence phone.   What a pain.

I got a call tonight from this number which the phone identified as SIRS. No message left. I don't answer unsolicited calls.

B***s*** the do not call list does not apply to you. If you think not, I'll just report you to my local attorney general here in MA. They don't put up with this kind of s*** and would be more than happy to take your company to task.
