They want info to see if you fit the test demographic. If you do they offer you 1 to 2 hour sessions to try products and pay $75 to $150 for your time. You aren't doing their job for them, they are trying to pay you for your input on products that you probably bi*** about so they can make it better. I also doubt you make that kind of hourly pay at your 9 to 5. I have a job that pays very well, and I participate in their studies whether I care about the product or not. If I have 2 hours to spare, I'll gladly trade it for $100. I try to get in on at least one a month so I can put it into my Roth IRA. 24 hrs/year for $1200 x 30 years of compound interest seems pretty good to me, but that's the future I want. Do as you will.

I don't understand how do not call does not apply to you. I understood that only political campaigns, charities and companies with whom you have previously done business were exempt. You do not sound like a company that falls in the exempt category. And if you are so reputable, why does caller ID show different names for different people. And as I write this you now show up as a The Info Center.

I picked up the phone after the third call since 5pm today. I kept saying "stop calling this number" until I heard a woman's voice, then I said again "stop calling this number". The woman said that I had to state that I wanted to be put on the Do Not Call List. I said "I am already on the do not call list!" and she started to say something, then I hung up.

Or, assume if no one answers let's say after 3 attempts, then we are not interested !

We just block all numbers who continue to call. You are wasting your time and resources.

They call up to 3x a day.  I have told them to put me on their DNC list.  They keep calling.

I agree.  The national Do Not Call list is a waste of time and energy.  Both my home and cell numbers are registered and, until I reinstalled my trusty Radio Shack telezapper, telemarketing and survey calls were driving me crazy!  If these callers do happen to get through, I try to keep them on the line as long as possible with questions for THEM.  My record?  45 minutes - it was great!

Why are you exempt from the no call list?

The fact that you're not bound by the DO NOT CALL list doesn't make you less arrogant, annoying or intrusive.  In fact, it makes you more so because you think you have some right to interrupt my family's life.  I've told moronic interview that I'm not interested multiple times so don't try to tell people your company has any ethics. If someone calls my home during the dinner hours or at 9:30 p.m., particularly after being told not to, they are the rude ones and I will treat them in kind even if they're kindergarten students.  PS get a clue - not everyone else's job results in an imposition and intrusion on the lives of others.  I don't get paid by SIRS so why should I do your job for you? I think everyone should report this company anyway.  If enough complaints are made, maybe this company CAN be held to the DO NOT CALL guidelines!

Just got another call from you guys...saw it on caller ID.  Why the heck should I have to answer the phone to tell you I don't want to talk to you?  Don't call!  Believe me, NO ONE wants to talk to you.

This number calls daily multiple times.mostly at night when my children are asleep.

The 'big deal' is some of these calls are from CRIMINALS who won't take 'no' for an answer and cuss out people and use filthy language and such.  It can be very upsetting for some people.

I got calls when I was very, VERY ill with a life-threatening illness.  This was long before I knew that these calls were going to be daily.  When I told the callers not to call they threatened me, and told me they WERE going to call again - and they did.

Some people, especially the very young, the very old and the very simple have been scammed by these calls; robbed of their life savings.  And there is NO WAY, even with Caller ID, to know WHICH of these calls are 'legit' or benign - and which are not.

So, if people are upset here with these calls, and having to sort them out and be expected to 'answer them politely', I'd say YOU are the one being unreasonable here.

And besides, even the so called 'market researchers' are TRYING TO MAKE MONEY OFF US, WITHOUT our permission and WITHOUT COMPENSATION for our time, energy and the phone equipment/lines the WE pay for.  So, YES, we DO have the 'right' to get upset.  Why should we be SLAVES to further enrich these SOBs???

You are NOT 'allowed' to call up until 10PM.  THE DO NOT CALL LIST SPECIFICALLY STATES that the "ALLOWED" call times are 9AM to **9PM**.  So you are a blatent LIAR and therefore all your 'points' about your company are highly suspect.

Looked up SIRS in google.  One of the entries was "Systemic inflammatory response syndrome". How appropriate. I go into inflammatory response syndrome" when telemarketers call me, whether they are legal or not!
I am on the do not call list and I know there are many types of calls that slip by the boundaries of the law.That doesn't mean I have to like them or have to answer them. In my opinion all "ROBO CALLs" should be outlawed. Don't waste my time...if you call me and caller id shows private name, or the name of a company that I have no dealings with I won't answer it, except when I'm in a crappy mood and then I will give it right back to you!

These people are working for a living.  Let us chat with them on their hobbies.. Then you will see the company loses money

Any reputable company does not call after 8PM.    If you want people to answer, call at a decent hour.  I had to turn the ringer off on my bedroom phone because your calls kept waking me up.  I am sorry, but I am not picking the phone up if it rings and wakes me up and I certainly can't guarantee that, such a situation, that I would be nice to the person if I did answer the phone.

The callers don't read this page,   or maybe they do and then shill in some of the threads, but they don't own this web site or work here.  Many ways they can get your number, using a dialer to call numbers indiscriminately or hacked info from something you may have filled out online..    I suggest you google your name and phone number, places like spokeo that turn up, make them remove it! If you have facebook, hide your info.. no one needs to see that.
