This is a hooker.

I'm reading the links to the side and checking out some of the comments and there is a common denominator here. All these calls are provoking the party being called to CALL THEM BACK.  Sorta lets them out of the loop of the DO NOT CALL LIST and also keeps them from being charged with harassment. You just called them!  I think ALL of the calls here are using this approach for the above reasons. So just don't call. Anyone with valid information, even a bill collector, is going to give you information you will recognize. These prank calls are purposely for whatever reason trying to get the caller (or in my case, textee) to CALL them. Pretty slick. Except if I'm correct and people start recognizing what's going on; then this approach won't work much longer, which will just cause these people to morph and adopt another different approach.

Checked this number out here after getting a TEXT MESSG on my cell phone apprx. 11pm cst simply stating "hey" with the above phone #.  Wasn't able to answer it till about 2:00 am and responded with "okay, I'll bite, who is this?"  This am about 9:50  received another text with the number and simply Felicia. Tip off to check this out is there is a phone number and only teaser info. Natural inclination is to CALL the person. However, then they not only have you HOOKED enough to talk to them, they can do a reverse check and possibly get more info (which is what I think is going on). At this point, I think this is a random number pick and it is some type of a scam. Glad I found this site. With this many 859 area codes involved in "mysterious" phone calls, I'm sure the texting is part of it. Is there some way to see if there is a parent company behind these particular numbers? Perhaps through the local phone company for this area? Hope this info helps some one else and will be checking to see if anyone can shed any more light on this area code's use.
