they call the office roughly 2-3x daily. if you call 18883821222 you can be placed on the do not call list, for whatever its worth.

Do NOT want calls from this number. Whoever it is, NEVER answers, when phone answered at my end. What are they doing?

I traced it to a telemarketer named Benjamin looking to see if anyone is looking to join him in the West Connecticut chapter of NAMBLA.

Evidently bad press has decimated their ranks and they're doing what they can.

Received a call from 860-256-6820 on 1/7/2013 at 4:28pm. Caller ID displayed "E Hartford CT". Did not answer and no message was left.

Based on the feedback I found here I added the number to my Google Voice block list.

A call is received EVERY DAY at our office.  If you pick up - silence.  If you dial the number you receive a recorded message stating a phone number to dial to be placed on the "do not call list."  The calls may be 'robo-calls' searching for a fax tone.  So not only can they waste your time with calls but also your paper and toner too.

They're so annoying. I love when they start the convo with "I need to speak to the person" clearly you don't "need" to speak to anyone and you don't even know who you're calling. I love hanging up on them now, sometimes for extra fun I let them say their entire greeting and either hang up after they speak for a little while, or say ?sure, I'll transfer you? then just keep them on hold. I have told this number in particular many times to stop calling and take us off the list, so for now on my new approach is to piss them off to the point they dread calling here and just remove us once and for all.

B2B telemarketing needs to be regulated better, just like how they are with home calls, this is getting out of hand. Home telemarketing calls cannot use a blocked number, must comply with you upon requesting to be removed from sales solicitation lists, have a do not call registry, and so on. The loophole with B2B is a follow-up from previous business, even though we never did and probably never would do business from a sales solicitation call.  It seems lately half of my work calls are from people trying to sell me things. At first I told them sorry, not interested. That doesn?t work in fact, it?s just an unspoken queue for them to be even more persistent and basically harass the hell out of me, resulting in me screaming at them and demand they remove me from their solicitation lists. Now I?m at the point where I can tell it?s a telemarketer from either that 5 second pause before someone comes on the line, a back dial ring, that infamous ?I need to speak to the person ? greeting, a person who butchers my first and/or last name, or a robot sounding voice because they?re calling for some unknown country. Now I don?t even bother going through with speaking to them nicely, I just hang up on them (or put them on hold).   Most of them are selling junk, cheap crap service, or luring you into a scam anyway. Most reputable businesses do not need to pick up new customers/clients through a sales solicitation call, their customers come to them not the other way around. I wouldn?t base any business to business off of a sales call, I only use services that were recommended to me from a trustworthy source.

But, I got silence from this number when they called.

Verizon calls EVERY day.  The person says not trying to sell anything, they just want to convert my monthly invoice to single bill (all Verizon, not the third party biller, who just happens to be less expensive than Verizon).  Is this legal?  I do not want to switch to Verizon - I HATE Verizon!  How do I get them to stop calling?

Who is this?  Is this a business or a person?

I answered it, a male voice said "We're makin' another rule because of you!" and hung up.

Got the same response when I picked up the phone. His name is Benjamin and he's such a low life. Talk about rudeness! Verizon, am finishing this year's FiOS subscription and I'm switching to anyone but you! Your customer service sucks and your prices are high!

These jerks are the most ignorant, rude people. The call constantly, never respect your wishes to be removed from their calling list, and generally get an attitude when you start asking them questions. I'm not sure in what world being an a***ole gets you business, but I know that it's not happening in this world. I generally ask questions, put on hold, pick back up, ask more questions, then hang up on them. I can waste their time just like they do mine.

5/9/12 - Spoke with Benjamin from Verizon. I told him the same thing I have told him in the past. This is a residential number that is listed on the Do Not Call Registry and please do not call me again. He said he thought this was a business phone. It isn't. I get several calls a day, every day, from this number. I was a Verizon customer many years ago, but I will NEVER do business with them again if this is how they harass their customers.

If you have asked them to stop calling, log of the calls and the date you made the requests and include that information in the comment section of any complaint you submit against that company.  Keep submitting complaints, evenutally they will be shut down.

Tried to tell me that they are Verizon.  Then started talking about other companies as if there were a problem.  It sounds like they are trying to confuse people into thinking there is an issue with your account.  When I told him to take me off their calling list, he said "See ya', wouldn't want to be ya'".

Calls everyday, if I let it ring it will hang up before it can go to voicemail. Very annoying!

I've been getting several calls every day on my home phone from this number. I'm usually at work when these calls come in. Was home today when they called. The caller said he was Benjamin from Verizon. He wanted to know who takes care of the office's AT&T bill. I asked, "What office? This is a residence." He apologized for the inconvenience and hung up.

This is Verizon trying to sell you a business line. I got the call a minute fter I used my magicJack on a Verizon DSL line and everyday for months after. I asked to be removed from the list and the guy said "you ain't nobody, you asked me to do nothing, you're nothin'"..click.

The number does change.

I called Verizon to complain..useless.

Needless to say..these people are a holes.

I'm thinking the people that do the calling get paid per number of phone calls they make, whether or not they make a "sale."  Most of the callers just hang up.

After months of receiving calls, I finally just answered the call and started cycling through the buttons and after a few seconds somebody picked up. They were offering a reduced rate on my Internet if I switched directly to Verizon.

THIS number calls our business repeatedly all day long and several times a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  They were saying they were on line yellow pages and they kept calling over and over and I would say no thank you and they still didn't stop so finally i starting hanging up on them.  Now that number still calls several times a day every day BUT they do not say anything, the line is just like dead air when I answer.  Very irritating and very disruptive all day long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The same here, they call several times a day and they do not say anything or they hang up when i answer.  This is a business they are calling to.  I do believe that this is the same # that was calling for the on line yellow pages and I just started hanging up on them because they called so much.
