Probably a "spoofed" - fake - number added by the caller to hide his real identity.

I received the same call today. It was a person soliciting money for some children's cancer fund. Maybe the school donated phone lines.

A call came from this number this afternoon.  It showed up on Caller ID as: "University of CT Schl."  In other words, U. of Connecticut, School of something or other.  No message left.  No idea as to who would be calling us from there and why.
